Chapter 234: 232: Spontaneous Combustion

They were all tea leaves anyway, and five bags just filled one compartment.

Su Mo dusted off her hands and stood up, her gaze shifting to the charred body with exposed meridians, "What about those four?"

"Here they come!"

No sooner had she spoken than two superpower users walked over carrying tea leaves. Su Mo glanced behind them and asked, "What about the other two?"

"They’re still in the shop, not sure what they’re doing."

Without hesitation, Su Mo said, "Let’s go and see. Leave these here; the others we packed earlier are enough."

"Oh, okay."

Seeing her serious expression, the two thought that something serious had happened and immediately dropped the tea leaves to accompany her to where the others were.

"Number four, number three?"

The two superpower users led her into the tea shop located deeper inside.

Voices of people talking came from inside.

The few outside immediately sighed in relief.

Su Mo walked into the shop, where the lighting was excellent, especially during direct sunlight. A man was admiring himself in a mirror hanging on the wall of the tea shop.

Li Qian’s gentle voice carried a hint of helplessness, "What time is it, and you’re still shaving in front of the mirror?"

The man held a razor, which he had apparently dug out from somewhere, scraping off half of his beard in the mirror.

"Number four, are you asking for a beating?"

Someone immediately emerged from behind Su Mo to scold him.

Number four chuckled, "It’s been too long since I shaved. I couldn’t resist when I saw it in the drawer. Just give me ten more seconds."

Su Mo wasn’t sure whether to laugh or be angry at his half-shaved, weed-infested beard.

No one opposed the ten seconds.

Number four sped up his shaving in the mirror but accidentally cut a small gash on his face due to his hurried hands. He hissed, and less than two seconds later, the mirror in front of him suddenly trembled.

He stopped, holding his face, curious, "Huh?"

The impatient man beside him immediately said, "Alright, let’s hurry up and go."

"No, did the mirror just move?" Number four put down the razor and leaned in close to examine it closely.

"You think so?" The other man leaned in for a closer look as well.

Suddenly, within Li Qian’s superpower range, a colossal creature burst forth from within the wall, rushing forward rapidly. He instantly shouted, "Come here!"

"What?" Number four looked at him through the mirror.

"Crash!"

The mirror in front of number four shattered, and a creature with four purple petals emerged. A mass of dark, thick meridians intertwined together, surrounded by fiery red glowing spots attached to the vines.

Without giving anyone time to react, number four’s head was immediately bitten off by the sharp spikes in the middle of the petals.

Blood splattered onto the person standing next to him.

The fiery red spots followed suit, piercing through.

A dazzling fire ignited on his body.

"Ah! Help! No!"

The incident happened in a moment; within four to five seconds, he was burned into a charred corpse. Su Mo immediately realized what was happening and led her group to quickly retreat. "Run! No wonder there are so many bodies like this!"

Li Qian analyzed as he ran, "It seems they reproduce through those light spots, these are mutant plants with fire power, awakened by blood. No wonder I only discovered them now."

"Are there any Advanced Water Element Superpower Users?" Su Mo hurriedly ran with her people on the seventh floor.

"Yes, but they’re with Commander Jin Han!" The superpower user behind her had cold sweat on his forehead, which had trickled down to his chin, showing how panicked he was.

Behind them, giant Fire Element mutant plants continuously burst through storefront walls.

The dazzling light spots showered down from the vines, filling the entire seventh floor.

The purple head with quadruple-colored petals opened and closed, charging directly at them.

They were about to reach the stairs to go down, though it was only a matter of seconds, for Su Mo it felt interminably long.

Just behind her, Zhao Changsheng was suddenly caught by a purple mutant plant that burst from the wall of a shop on the right, crashing her through the left glass showcase and into the shop.

"Go on without me!" Su Mo immediately turned back and charged without a second thought.

The swirling light dots pushed her to extend her foresight and vision to the utmost; she tore off her jacket and furiously waved it at the light dots in front of her, rushing towards Zhao Changsheng.

The clothing in her hand instantly caught fire and burned to ash.

When Zhao Changsheng was flung out of the window by the mutant plant, Su Mo instantly took out her Tang Blade and chopped at its tenderloin. Pained, the mutant plant loosened the massive constrictive force at the center of its petals and began frantically thrashing at the window.

Su Mo immediately leaned half her body out the window and grabbed onto her arm, "Zhao Changsheng!"

With one hand clutching the blade buried in the liaison and the other gripping her tightly.

"Momo! You’re going to get burned! Let go!" Zhao Changsheng shouted through the pain tearing at her waist.

Su Mo turned her head; the twinkling light spots were about to reach her arm.

Cold sweat broke out on her, her body hanging in mid-air, yet she still didn’t let go.

"Su Mo! Throw her over here!"

Li Qian hadn’t run with them but had gone into the next shop, poking his body out to assist.

Su Mo, holding onto Zhao Changsheng, started to swing forcefully, "Get ready to catch her!"

She flung her from the half-story height of the seventh floor, and Li Qian grabbed Zhao Changsheng’s hand and pulled her in.

Su Mo heaved a sigh of relief, immediately pulled out her blade, and ran out before the flower could dive back in.

On the other side, Li Qian emerged carrying Zhao Changsheng, his previously clean clothes soon stained heavily with blood.

Su Mo tossed a bottle of Biluochun tea to him, her expression anxious, "She might get infected; take her downstairs, find a spot, and have her drink this to treat the external wounds first!"

Li Qian, holding Zhao Changsheng, dashed towards the staircase and seeing her go upstairs, he asked, "Aren’t you coming with us?"

"I’m going to find Lu Chen; he’s upstairs. You go first," Su Mo gave him a reassuring look, activated her superpower, and vanished in an instant.

Feeling the thick scent of blood on himself, Li Qian tightened his grip on Zhao Changsheng and dashed downstairs without looking back.

Su Mo already heard the intense gunfire above; her speed increased even more.

She stopped at the staircase on the fifteenth floor, where frost pervaded and several charred bodies lay around, the floor smeared with bright red bloodstains.

Su Mo burst into the fifteenth-floor lobby.

The scene inside made her widen her eyes; at the center was a woman entwined in vines.

Her upper body was human but her lower half was entirely purple liaisons and vines.

The blossoms on those vines were the same mutant flowers that had been chasing them.

Su Mo drew her knife and spotted Lu Chen at a glance amidst the chaotic crowd; he was standing behind a large ice wall erected to block the light spots. She immediately ran over, "What is this thing!"
