Chapter 203: Chapter 201: Rib Fracture
[Conscious Sea, body controlled by energy. Please return promptly, main consciousness too strong for system auto-eject.]
"I don’t want to go back," Su Mo said, hugging her knees and watching as her own body lay on the cold metal floor, a pool of blood spreading behind it.

Suddenly, the scene in front of her changed, and Su Mo’s eyes fluctuated: "Lu.. Lu Chen? He’s not dead?"
In the visual, an energy group enveloped in silver light was visible, within which the vague form of a man could be seen, as if he were advancing in rank.
[As you can see]
Su Mo suddenly smiled and sat back down: "You aren’t tricking me, are you?"
[...]
"If I go back now, it’s still a dead end; my ribs are almost completely broken," Su Mo rested her head on her knees, her gaze fixed on the man’s face within the light group, greedily absorbing the sight as if she could never see enough.
[God Chef System will gift you a fast-acting recipe for a medicine that repairs internal injuries and a bottle of the prepared product; collect it at the panel after exiting.]
"Oh," Su Mo remained motionless until she saw the silver light dissipate and the man suddenly opened his eyes and disappeared from the spot. She tensed up, "Where did he go?"
[Switching visuals]
The scene returned to the underground, and even through the screen, Su Mo could feel that Lu Chen was different now, his presence similar to Lu Jin’s. If he saw her nearly dead, Su Mo jolted up from the ground:
"I need to go back! Quickly!"
[Reading consciousness... Beginning transfer]
The whole day spun, and Su Mo’s consciousness returned.
Pain, agonizing pain, as if thousands of ants were gnawing at her body, she lay on the ground, unable to move, while Lu Jin’s footsteps gradually approached, beside whom lay the already dead body of Jiang Zhou.
A face no less formidable than Lu Chen’s was ferocious like that of a wild beast.
Su Mo’s neck was seized by a terrifyingly hot palm.
The woman under his hand was petite and fragile, and with just a bit of force, he could completely snap her neck.
Yet the cool sensation at his fingertips caused Lu Jin to hesitate for a moment. He stared at her neck, unable to exert any pressure.
Space fluctuated, and Lu Jin, without sparing a moment to think, released Su Mo and quickly moved backwards.
Centered around Su Mo, a large amount of ice crystals gathered to form a protective circle, and Lu Chen tore through the space, appearing out of nowhere.
What met his eyes was the glaring red and the pale little face; his stern expression cracked as he knelt beside her, his aura oppressively terrifying, and his bloodshot phoenix eyes swirled with murderous intent.
Su Mo was too severely injured. Although her consciousness had returned, every time she opened her mouth, blood frothed, so she could only weakly hook his finger, smiling faintly.
"Wait for me," the man bent down, gently kissing her forehead: "Don’t sleep, alright?"
Su Mo slightly moved her head.
Lu Chen stood up and charged at Lu Jin.
He was like a lion completely enraged, his hand gathering superpower like crazy, turning it into a huge ice wall surging towards Lu Jin.
In front of Lu Jin, a space crack swiftly opened; it wasn’t so easy this time. The ice wall was but a decoy; Lu Chen tore the space and instantly appeared beside him, punching him to the ground.
In his hand, the Ice Blade condensed, ready to stab towards Lu Jin’s head when the fluctuation of space occurred, and Lu Jin’s figure disappeared again.
Inside the entire room, figures of their fight appeared, sometimes on the ceiling, sometimes out in the external metal corridor.
In the last sight within Su Mo’s viewpoint, Lu Jin lay beside her beaten and swollen, yet he was still laughing heartily. That sensation, spurred by the smell of blood, made him laugh like a madman.
Lu Chen’s knee was atop his neck, his hand covered with a layer of frost. With one punch down, his head would "bloom."
Lu Jin seemed not at all afraid of death; his dark eyes dyed red from cerebral congestion looked exceptionally terrifying. He jeered at Lu Chen, "Kill me, and you won’t get the flash drive; you also won’t make it back to base. Your boatman has long been killed by me."
Lu Chen, ignoring him, continued to hammer down at him, with only the words "kill him" in his mind.
A faint voice, however, made his fist stop a few centimeters from Lu Jin.
"Don’t kill him, the flash drive," Su Mo spoke, bleeding from her mouth again, helpless yet unable to let Lu Chen just kill him—she had to get Lu Chen that flash drive.
Lu Chen saw her agonized expression, his face tense, and he redirected his punch to Lu Jin’s chest, "She broke several ribs, I’ll break the same number on you, the flash drive, give it to me."
He controlled the force of each punch very precisely, but ensured a bone broke with each hit.
Lu Jin, with a fierce gaze, was actually very fond of his life. After two ribs were broken, he threw out the flash drive.
Lu Chen caught the flash drive, threw him aside, and placed it into the space. He picked up the Tang Blade, carefully lifting Su Mo from the ground.
The broken ribs had already pierced her internal organs; any movement was excruciating. Su Mo bit her lip, silent. Due to heavy bleeding, she started showing signs of shock, "Take Lu Jin, us, back to the ship."
Lu Chen understood her meaning since Yang Jianguo was killed, only one ship was operational. No matter what, Lu Jin couldn’t die yet.
Lu Chen, with a stern look, carried Su Mo back up to the laboratory.
Lu Jin got up from the ground, coughing up blood. A vial of medicine appeared in his hand, which he injected into his thigh, immediately reducing the pain of the broken bone.
That dose of medicine was enough to delay the worsening of his injuries until he could return.
In the laboratory, countless on both sides were dead or injured.
Only a little over ten people survived, influenced by Lu Chen’s aura, preventing both sides from starting a battle.
Jianxiong sat heavily breathing on the ground, one leg charred, his eyes hopeful when he saw Lu Chen but shuddered at the sight of Su Mo looking ashen in his arms, "Sister... sister."
Lu Chen glanced at him, directly carrying Su Mo into a lab separated by glass. The door was closed and he covered the glass with a thick layer of frost, blocking the outsider’s view.
Su Mo was gently placed in an operating chair.
Her clothing was lifted to reveal a shocking wound on her abdomen, with several ribs visibly misaligned, about to break through her skin.
"Biluochun Tea probably won’t be much help with internal injuries," Lu Chen stood up and rummaged through a nearby medical cabinet, his hand trembling as he held the instruments, "It might hurt a lot, but I can’t bear to let you leave me."
When Su Mo met his gaze, she noticed a layer of moisture over his eyes. Her heart ached, and she gently shook her head, grabbing his busy hands. The panel in front of them opened, and she took out a trial pack given to her by the system.
It was a bottle containing a light purple liquid.
She handed the bottle over, signaling him to open it.
