Chapter 123: Chapter 120: Giving You a Rocket Launcher?
Lu Chen merely stood there, smiling without dodging.
Just as the onlookers secretly pitied the nice couple, an Ice Blade, moving so fast that it was nearly invisible to the naked eye, plunged directly into Wu Hai’s shin and embedded into the bone.
"Ah!"
Given that it penetrated the bone of a Level 2 Power Superpower User, one could imagine the immense force behind it. Wu Hai immediately cried out in pain and fell prostrate in front of Su Mo, face down on the ground.
"Oh dear, an apology is just an apology, why such an extreme courtesy?" Su Mo crouched in front of him, smiling, but her bright, large eyes held no trace of humor.
She grabbed his hair with one hand and lifted his entire head off the ground, then harshly smashed it back onto the cold cement in front of everyone.
"Boss!"
The underlings behind him immediately rushed forward to help, but Lu Chen walked up to Su Mo, spreading Cold Ice on the ground beneath his feet, his aura terrifying like Asura.
Only then, did they realize just how terrifying this man’s deliberately subdued aura was when released.
Many of the capable people hidden in the convoy began to think of making connections.
Su Mo kept her head down, busying herself with her hands while muttering to herself.
"This first hit is for your apology."
"This second one, to teach you to respect women more."
"This third one, because you’ve offended me with your ugliness."
With three consecutive hits, each harder than the last, Wang Wu’s face suffered a broken nose, his facial skin was rubbed off in patches by the rough ground, and a large hole was left on his forehead, a truly miserable sight.
Su Mo knocked him out by knocking his head directly.
In the eyes of the shocked onlookers, this cute-looking girl was incredibly fierce. She stood up with a tenderly cute smile and brushed off her hands, coquettishly saying to Lu Chen, "My hands are all sore now."
In front of Lu Chen, who already had several people lying around him sprawled out, he turned, took her hand, and frowned as he glanced at the corpse-like Wang Hai on the ground and gently massaged her hand, "Don’t use your hands next time."
"Ah?"
"Use a pan."
"...." Su Mo felt that her appearance using a Flat Pot in Lu Chen’s eyes must have already left a deep impression.
The couple’s unabashed public display of affection shocked countless onlookers.
"Make way! What’s going on here?"
The commotion here drew the attention of a few soldiers in uniform, armed with guns.
"Wang Wu’s relatives have arrived," a few whispered into Lu Chen’s ears.
The crowd parted again, and four armed soldiers approached.
"What’s going on here? The convoy rules forbid fighting!" One of the slightly younger soldiers yelled at Lu Chen, feeling inexplicably that this man looked familiar. Had he seen him somewhere?
"Are you his relative?" Lu Chen slightly lifted his long leg and stepped directly onto Wu Han’s back.
This openly provocative action led the young soldier to immediately point his gun at him: "I order you to immediately remove your foot! I have the authority to expel anyone disturbing the order from the convoy!"
"Whoever started the trouble gets kicked out?" Su Mo asked with a smile.
"Exactly!"
"Boss!" Jianxiong’s call came from afar and grew louder.
The two turned to see him running towards them with others.
Upon seeing Lu Chen, the man stood up straight, his gaze filled with admiration as he gave a crisp military salute: "Reporting, Admiral Lu, I am Sergeant Yang sent by Admiral Rong; Admiral Rong is looking for you."
His voice was loud and clear.
Lu Chen glanced at the insignia on his chest and lifted his foot: "Rong Bai?"
"Yes!"
"This is Lu Chen from the Jiang Residence!" The man who had his gun pointed at Lu Chen finally realized, prompted by his companion. He put away his gun, his face turning pale, wondering why the man seemed so familiar. He had heard about him before in the military broadcasts and documents.
He’s a veritable god of death!
What had he just done? The soldier’s expression grew ugly as he became more and more frightened.
Su Mo, however, wore a smile that was up to no good. As Lu Chen pulled her by the hand back the way they came, she only heard the man’s chilling voice saying, "Take care of the people here."
"Yes," Sergeant Yang responded loudly.
The departing young man actually held the title of an admiral. Everyone around couldn’t help but marvel.
"Sergeant Yang... did I just cause trouble?" As he watched the man’s retreating figure, the previously arrogant soldier now looked ashen.
"Is that Wang Hai your relative?"
"Yes," the soldier lowered his head even further.
"Was he the one who started the internal strife?"
The soldier didn’t respond; he had just arrived here and frankly didn’t understand the situation fully.
The people around, however, were emboldened and began to reveal various egregious acts Wang Hai committed in the convoy. Petty things like stealing food were the least of his deeds; the worst were the assaults on women, even involving minors, they revealed.
Sergeant Yang turned livid as he glared at the soldier in front of him. "Drive these scum out of the regiment. With these actions, and even provoking a god of death, who else can you blame?"
The soldier had not expected that Wang Hai, under his rank, had committed such acts, and his face flushed deep red.
Admiral Rong might seem easy to talk to, but he was cut from the same cloth as Lu Chen, characterized by decisiveness and intolerance for injustice.
Otherwise, these two wouldn’t have ended up together.
Lu Chen, pulling Su Mo along, continued on as Jianxiong, after being notified, had returned to the military vehicle. This was no longer his concern.
They were led directly to the front of the convoy.
There, every military vehicle was fully armed, even equipped with heavy weaponry. Su Mo even spotted rocket launchers, things she had only previously seen on Baidu.
No wonder they could protect so many people; the firepower was impressive. Her eyes stuck to the guns and shells, and seeing her enthusiasm, Lu Chen followed her gaze, glanced at the rocket launcher and asked, "Want a rocket launcher?"
Su Mo was startled and turned to look at him. "You mean you can actually take it off and give it to me?"
"I can," Lu Chen nodded lightly under her astonished gaze.
She quickly shook her head as if it were a rattle. "No, thanks."
While everyone else’s partners were giving flowers and rings, here he was, offering her a rocket launcher?!
"Really don’t want it?"
"No!" Su Mo firmly replied.
There was a hint of amusement in Lu Chen’s eyes as he softly ruffled her hair, not insisting further. A large military-green tent was pitched at the very front, and as they approached, the soldiers standing guard saluted and pulled back the curtain for him to enter.
Rong Bai had been standing in the tent, while Li Chuan sat there sipping tea slowly.
As Lu Chen pulled the curtain aside to enter, Rong Bai was initially taken aback, then quickly stepped forward and embraced him. "Really a brother!"
The noise made Su Mo take a few steps back. Lu Chen reciprocated the hug symbolically before pulling back.
"Weren’t you supposed to go to City B with the Jiang Residence, why are you here?"
"It’s a long story," Lu Chen said as he pulled over a chair for Su Mo to sit, then seated himself in front of a small table.
"And this little sister is...?" Rong Bai then turned his attention to Su Mo beside him; petite and oddly cute.
"My girl," Lu Chen said lightly.
