Chapter 70: The Start of the Match

The dreariness enveloping the Outer District before had vanished, and what filled the place were the boisterous screams about wreaking havoc on the arena.

The road in the Outer District was crowded, and Li Chunhua and the others had a hard time squeezing their way out. For a span of ten minutes, their eardrums hurt from the cheers and noises.

Li Chunhua didn’t know how she managed to survive that or how she kept her ears intact; all she knows is that these elders and children were the best cheering squad on this planet!

Despite their thug-like style, she couldn’t deny that her blood surged with patriotism, and thoughts of dying for the Outer District’s honor occupied her head.

For the Outer District!

Destroy them!

Li Chunhua joined the cheering squad in their passionate screams and even borrowed their cheering tools, which got scrapped the moment she beat them once.

Eh?

However, the owner of it didn’t get angry with her deeds but even became thrilled with his eyes brightening at the sight of his pot getting crushed by her raw strength, and the old man even raised the volume of his voice, even though he had difficulty pronouncing words. "Crush them!"

Li Chunhua was worried she would be scolded, but after hearing the shout, she repeated it with equal momentum.

"Crush them!" Both of them shouted like fateful buddies at the same time, which stimulated the crowd once more.

"Yes, crush them!" The crowd also responded.

Mr. Fang, Tan Ge, and Jun Qi, who heard her loud shout, stiffened immediately, and a flurry of images containing gore, violence, and bloodbath spun in their minds.

"Lass, what are you doing? Don’t get too carried away. Just fight and don’t talk about destruction." A pair of wrinkly hands covered Li Chunhua’s mouth without delay.

Li Chunhua was confused.

Huh?

When did she talk about destruction?

Uncle, you’re the one getting carried away. I was just cheering! Anyways...

"Crush them!" Li Chunhua pry opened Mr. Fang’s hands and hollered once again, which caused Mr. Fang to have black spots dancing in his vision.

Some of these days, he will have a heart attack because of this lass! Mr. Fang clutched his chest.

However, Mr. Fang couldn’t do anything else because their entourage had reached the entrance of the inner ring. The cheers ceased, and the elderlies and children all put on the expression that they were hungry for blood.

Ever since the inner ring has been showing unfairness in treatment, they have never complained and worked their butts off for every meal they placed on their tables. The points from the benefit policy were being pinched, but they never spoke about it to Gong Panli because he already had so much in his hands.

Mr. Fang was also tight-lipped about this matter because of the Outer District’s wishes.

They only bottled up this problem in their hearts and endured for months until yesterday, when they were robbed and left to starve. Since the management had torn their faces off, then so be it.

Whatever the results of tonight, win or lose! The Outer District will not cower and endure anymore!

The crowd coming from the Outer District tacitly made way for Li Chunhua’s group.

The moment the guards saw the hunched-back old woman and the little dog standing beside Gong Panli, they couldn’t restrain their laughter.

"It’s really true. Just to fill up the spots, these people recruited an old woman and a dog..." The speaker couldn’t even finish the rest of what he’s going to say when he saw countless pots and kitchen utensils being raised in the air and was aiming in his direction.

The people of the Outer District showed fierce expressions.

You can beat us! But you can’t tarnish our dignity!

The guards: "..." Mama, so scary!

Li Chunhua saw the unconditional support of the Outer District and was moved, and she unconsciously clapped, admiring their unity.

What wonderful escorts! Cough, I mean cheering squad!

---

The arena, which served as a venue for the eventful fight, was situated in the centermost area of the inner ring. It was a large space, the size of half a football field, used by the military officers to train recruits.

It was full of obstacles, which were renovated and reconstructed as an arena by some of the directors to make profits from fights with stakes.

But before they can reach the inner ring, they need to pass by a few residences and business establishments on the way.

The guards, witnessing the sea of waving pots, opened the gates immediately and didn’t even dare insult the lineup anymore. They were just ordinary people without abilities.

Gong Panli led the way. The rest followed.

Because Li Chunhua, Siri, and Little Mantou haven’t visited the inner ring yet, they don’t know what it looks like.

But now they do, and they feel complicated.

Compared to the outer district, the inner ring was very prosperous, with the buildings being new and in pristine condition.

The three remembered the state of the buildings in the Outer District, especially the cracks on the wall and the rusted stairs and pillars, prompting them to keep quiet.

In their pondering, they didn’t notice the numerous pairs of eyes glowering their way and chuckling at their appearance, which made the Outer District grit their teeth and pump their chests.

"What are you looking at? Want a piece of me, hah punk?"

These ability users would not be afraid if it were just one or two confronting them, but if it were the entirety of the Outer District’s population, no one would remain composed.

Therefore, they instantly clamped their mouths tight and retreated as if their butts were on fire.

The grannies continued their thuggish ways whenever someone tried to make fun of them, which successfully scared the sh*t out of these busybodies, thus the journey became smooth.

The three spent their time observing more until they arrived at the arena, which was jam-packed already.

There were torches burning and solar lights illuminating the place.

When the crowd arrived at the entrance of the arena, they were asked for their tickets.

They set aside their thuggish behavior and obediently presented tickets. Those that had gone in and those that were unable to buy because it was sold out could only stay outside and give their words of ’wisdom’ for the combatants. Talks about destruction echoed in the entrance which made the staffs almost pee in their pants.

(A/N: I will try to make a ’serious’ fight. I will really try hard. Really try hard. He He.
