Chapter 28: Master, this is too OP!

Brother Siri suggested acquiring a class first before he elaborates his situation.

His plight made Li Chunhua quite curious about how spell casting works. Little Mantou whispered to her that the spell of the Arcane Blizzard was a 4th-ring.

For every layer of magic circle added, the damage of the spell will increase by 10 times. Simply calculating from that information, it should be a thousand times more lethal than the 1st-ring spell.

But if she made a deduction just from the description written in the novel she read and Little Mantou’s words without experiencing it firsthand, she wouldn’t properly understand Brother’s Siri situation at all.

In that fleeting moment, she remembered that she was already qualified to accept the system task for the class change, and there was a lottery ticket in her inventory.

Her face visibly paled. Due to her being overwhelmed by the sadness of rejection during the summoning event, her mind was occupied with something else, so she just tossed whatever she had in her inventory to the bowl.

Could it be that it was also included in among the offering?

But she wasn’t dumb to that extent.

However, no matter how she searched for it, it was gone.

The expression on her face was so evident that the elf and Little Mantou asked her what was on her mind.

Li Chunhua shared her worries and the Elf Siri fell into deep thought.

As much as Little Mantou wanted to help, his knowledge about the Centennial Games barely scratches the surface.

The Centennial Games had been going on for thousands of years, and the candidates of this round were vying for the 999th Centennial Star Lord’s seat.

Thus, introductory books about centennial games were common as mushrooms in every race and clan. The Elf Forest Library in particular also had some records of those precious victors, so it’s easy to answer a simple question like this.

"I remember that there are some books that state that the player’s inventory is divided into two categories: tradeable and bound. If I wasn’t mistaken, the lottery ticket for a rare class pool you mentioned is a bound item. Therefore, it’s stored in a different space. Master should check." Siri spoke after a minute. His tone had a tinge of surprise because it was a very rare item that was only awarded to players with unbelievable achievements.

Bound?

Li Chunhua didn’t know that, and the novel never explained the inventory function in details because it was heavily focused on the protagonist’s struggles against the villain, nor had the original owner had a bound item before.

His master was really different and mystical, which made Siri ask, "Ah, master, if it’s alright with you, can I ask you how you are able to acquire a lottery ticket?"

Li Chunhua recounted the events when she exterminated the rabbits and their leader, and at the same time, she also showed the titles that were awarded to her to solidify her claims.

[Titles: I’m the Rabid’s King Slayer, I’m the Rabid Clan’s Exterminator...]

Lithe Mantou and Siri leaned toward the holographic screen and blinked.

Are you kidding me?

Even though the rabids are the weakest among the centennial game monsters, they have a high reproductive rate, and on average, a clan of this kind would still amount to thousands. Even with their abilities and stats, they wouldn’t even exterminate a clan for just one day!

But their master actually did it in less than one day!

The way they looked at Li Chunhua was very odd, and they both couldn’t help but ask, "Master, can we see your stats?"

Li Chunhua showed them her status screen.

[Player: Li Chunhua

Her stats were normal, and they couldn’t see anything unusual besides her level being 17 and the Dark Cooking Poison Immunity.

So how was she able to accomplish it?

Neverthless, both were in awe when they saw her progress and, at the same time, baffled at how she got the passive skill, but Little Mantou had an inkling from where she acquired it, which brought back some horrible memories.

He inwardly grimaced and promised himself next time that if Master ever sets foot in the kitchen again, he would run out of the territory at all costs.

"Brother Siri, since you know something about this game, do you have some guesses as to why there are errors besides my basic stats?" Li Chunhua asked, hopeful that the elf would know a thing or two about it.

"What error are you talking about, Master? I don’t see any error in your stats." Siri replied, confused by her inquiry, while he inspected her status screen once more.

Little Mantou also nodded, agreeing with Siri’s statement.

"It’s really there. Don’t you see it? "Li Chunhua pointed out the errors on the screen, but Siri and Little Mantou shook their heads.

[Strength: 80 (Error)

Agility: 80 (Error)

Defense: 80 (Error)

Intelligence: 80 (Error)

Luck: 10 (Error)

Combat Star: 32 stars (Error)]

Am I the only one seeing it?

Li Chunhua shifted her eyes from the screen and to the two, still shaking their heads before closing the holographic panel in reluctance.

Without a clue on hand, Li Chunhua turned to the inventory interface. Now, with her attention on it, there was really another bar with an icon of a lock. She tapped it, and she finally saw the lottery ticket.

She took it out, and a very thin strip of paper, just the size of her thumb, materialized on her palm. Despite being layered with gold, it was light as a feather.

[Rare Class Lottery Ticket

- Grade: Legendary

- Able to have a chance of acquiring a random rare class in the Rare Professional Pool. Classes in the Rare Professional Pool are within the range of grades from A to SSS.

- Method of Use: Tear]

Both Little Mantou and the Elf Siri were intrigued and read the item description.

Their eyes lit up, and they quickly urged their Master to use it.

Li Chunhua also had that intention, and her hands tore the paper.

Under three pairs of eyes, the small golden paper turned into light particles that gathered in the air, slowly forming into a golden scroll.

The scroll rolled down, and strings of words appeared on it.

[You’ve used a rare class lottery ticket.]

[The system is analyzing the player’s stats, various factors, compatibility with other classes, and the suitable evolution paths.]

[The system is analyzing the class with the highest compatibility.]

[Optimizing Scanning from the Library of Inheritances...1%...2%...]

Inheritance?

Siri gulped. He’s been wondering what the item was about, but it was actually because of this.

Master is so lucky!

Normally, there are nine beginner classes: Warrior, Knight, Berserker, Martial Artist, Archer, Assassin, Priest, Mage, and Summoner, which the players could choose from, serving as the starting points in their journey.

All the classes have their own advantages and disadvantages, creating a balance that will soon be disrupted due to various evolutionary paths.

Evolutionary paths are what are referred to as second-class change, and so on.

A spellcaster is an example of an evolution path derived from the mage class.

Another would be Huo Yan’s Dark Warlock, a fusion of mage and priest.

There are so many possibilities and routes to take, but they also come at a cost: incompatibility, which will result in the player’s stagnation in his progress or even death. It was no exaggeration.

A great example was him.

But the lottery ticket his Master activated just solved the problem of incompatibility.

And as one of her loyal subjects, Siri was, of course, happy for her.

Little Mantou, on the other hand, didn’t know much about this matter, but according to Siri’s expression, he could tell it was something good.

Li Chunhua was also nervous, and she wished it was also a class that didn’t clash with her main goal—to be a salted fish.

When the progress bar reached 100%, the golden scroll shone a brilliant light, but it wasn’t stinging to the eyes.

[Detected Class and Evolution Path with the Highest Compatibility]

[The recommended Class and Evolution Path is...]

All three of them stared at the class’ name in puzzlement.

"What kind of class is that?" Li Chunhua spoke while browsing the contents of the novel in her memory, but nothing related popped up.

It was then that she noticed that there was an additional arrow just below the class name. She tapped it, revealing the class description.

The moment they read it, their eyes widened, and even Siri with impeccable manners couldn’t stay calm.

Li Chunhua stared at the two while the two gave her looks of admiration.

"Master, this is too OP!"

(A/N: The class is relatively suited for a salted fish! Can anyone guess it? By the way, thanks to Daoist628069 for the lovely gift. Little Baozi enjoyed it!(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ )
