Chapter 748: Chapter 453 Divine Will_3
Colin was surprised to discover that Magic Power could actually assist in the recovery of Blood Energy to some extent, and vice versa, Blood Energy could also accelerate the recovery of Magic Power!
This was the most evident change brought about by the altered relationship between the two, but the effects of this wonderful change were far from just these.
After that day, Colin had constantly been in a peculiar state, feeling as if someone who was nearly blind had suddenly regained their vision, and everything in the world appeared so extraordinarily different.
He felt his reactions were quicker, his energy more abundant, and his senses sharper.
This change—even until today, a week later—he still hadn’t fully adapted to.
But time did not allow him to continue to dwell on these feelings.
The days of spring harvest had arrived.
Slowly standing up, Colin clenched his fist but nonetheless smiled.
Regardless, his own strength had once again leapt forward, which was certainly a good thing, especially during such turbulent times.
"If I encounter another Fourth Rank Wizard sent by the Divine, perhaps I won’t be as embarrassed as before."
He packed up the Silver Chamber, took a step forward, and walked out of the storeroom.
Whirl—
A gentle spring breeze brushed his face, and a golden sea of wheat immediately caught his eye; Colin took a deep breath, stood there for a moment, then headed towards the Wizard Tower.
Although the scenery was beautiful, he had been secluded for far too long and urgently needed to meet his mentor to learn about recent events.
...
"Have a lot of trade caravans already come to discuss grain purchases?"
In the study, Colin stroked his chin.
"Yes, when the farmland was contaminated, a large amount of Meredith’s grain stores were also destroyed. That area is a frontline of the war, and food supply must be assured, so in the past few months, all the Miracle Cities have been continuously transporting grain there."
"The grain reserves in various places have decreased a lot due to this, and the recent changes in the war situation have caused panic, leading people throughout Neustadt, including the Meredith region, to hoard grain. The price of grain has kept rising, with rationing in place, yet the market is still undersupplied."
"Now that the wheat on the Tilaimei Plain is about to mature, those trade caravans have naturally come upon hearing the news."
Atbolde explained.
"Hmm," Colin nodded. "The wheat trade can be gradually established, as Tilaimei’s grain supply is sufficient."
"And the pricing?"
Colin pondered for a long while, then said, "Sell at the price of previous years, but make sure to sign contracts with those caravans to control the profits and keep the market selling price of wheat the same as in previous years.
He could indeed sell Tilaimei Plain’s grain at a high price, as Tilaimei was the largest grain-producing area in the whole Neustadt region. By simply limiting the quantity of grain exports—or even without limiting, just by subtracting a percentage from the current market price as the export price—he could achieve astonishing profits.
But he was not a capitalist; selling wheat from Tilaimei Plain normally was already enough for him to make a substantial income, and he had no intention of lowering his standards to earn such unjust money.
Especially now during a war period, stabilizing grain prices was very important for the Wizard’s side, he was certainly not that shortsighted!
"...Yes," Atbolde answered, somewhat surprised.
Not everyone could maintain the basic human decency even in the face of astounding profits.
Such a demeanor...was definitely not just brought about by mere strength.
"Have there been any other recent developments regarding the war?" Colin asked further.
"In terms of war... the battles at the frontline have become more frequent than before, with small-scale skirmishes occurring almost daily, and every few days the Divine would launch major attacks.
But overall, it’s still a deadlock."
Atbolde replied, then thought for a moment and added: "Recently, all the major Miracle Cities have been increasing their efforts to mobilize Wizards to participate in the frontline war."
"Hmm," Colin continued to nod, his expression calm, and then advised:
"For the upcoming spring harvest, we’ll need you to put in extra effort, Teacher. This batch of grain, we cannot afford to lose!"
