Bo Yan also started sprinkling flour. The two of them dodged and sprinkled, covering the entire kitchen in white. Just as Xia Siyu was about to turn around to grab more flour, Bo Yan, quick-eyed and deft, stepped forward, wrapped her in his arms, and pinned her against the counter.
Their faces were completely covered in white. They didn’t even need makeup—they could just walk straight onto a set and play Black and White Impermanence. Perfect casting.
Xia Siyu was panting, coughing, and laughing at the same time as she tried to wriggle out of his hold. “Let me go! Go make dumplings, will you? Be good.”
Bo Yan, of course, wasn’t about to let her slip away. This slippery fish of a woman—if he let go, she’d probably fling another handful of flour in his face: “If we’re going, we’re going together. Cooking should be done together too.”
As he finished speaking, he moved the bag of flour farther away. With his long arms, he placed it somewhere just beyond her reach, ensuring she couldn’t grab it.
Xia Siyu looked at Bo Yan and burst into laughter: “Hahaha! You’re so ugly! I should take a picture and show your fans what you look like now.”
Bo Yan’s face had been smeared into a patchy mess of white. He looked utterly ridiculous.
Bo Yan shot back with a retort: “Do you even know what your face looks like right now? If they ever need someone for a sketch comedy role, you’d be their perfect choice!”
Xia Siyu immediately narrowed her eyes: “Me? In a comedy sketch? What kind of sketch?”
Bo Yan quickly replied, “Of course, something like ‘Pigsy carrying a beautiful bride.'”
Xia Siyu snorted: “Now that’s more like it.”
After catching their breath for a moment, Xia Siyu’s face was still dusted with flour, but her eyes gleamed mischievously. Knowing that playing the pity card wouldn’t work, she boldly wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled cheekily. “No way, I want to eat food made by my husband.”
Bo Yan played along effortlessly, placing his hands on her waist to keep her in place, giving her no chance to slip away or cause more trouble. “Let’s go together then.”
Still grinning, Xia Siyu darted forward and planted a quick peck on his lips. His flour-dusted lips turned pink under her kiss. With her voice deliberately soft and sweet, Xia Siyu coaxed, “Husband, pleeaase?”
Bo Yan’s fingers lightly grazed his own lips, smudging the color even deeper. “Still not enough.”
Xia Siyu knew exactly what this rascal wanted but pretended to be clueless. Tilting her head with a sly smile, she asked, “Then what would be enough?”
Bo Yan obviously saw through her act. But no matter—if she wouldn’t stop pretending, he’d make sure she got the message. He leaned in and kissed her deeply. When they finally parted, his voice was low and husky: “Now… that’s more like it.”
With Bo Yan taking the lead, how could Xia Siyu just sit there and take it? She quickly leaned forward and brushed her fingers lightly against his sideburns, her voice dripping with seduction: “So… is that enough now?”
Bo Yan’s eyes darkened suddenly. He lifted her onto the counter to make sure she was perched securely at the edge. “Then… shall I begin?”
Xia Siyu gazed at him, thinking she must have rose-colored glasses on. How could she find Bo Yan irresistibly handsome, even with his face covered in flour?
As Bo Yan lingered at her neck and collarbone, another thought popped into her head: Oh no, oh no! I must have had fake liquor. How else could I find the swirl of hair at the crown of his head so perfectly captivating?
Just as her hand was about to reach up to touch the top of his head…
