Even Chi Songzi could hardly contend with him.

The Medicine Buddha kept reciting scriptures, snatching the incense power and wishes, and the public opinion from the Medicine Buddha. The will of countless beings within the Lapis Lazuli World was the public opinion, and he had to keep disrupting it. Otherwise, no one could withstand the terrifying public opinion attack gathered by the Medicine Buddha.

The Medicine Buddha was so furious that smoke nearly billowed from his seven orifices. Had it not been for the Medicine Buddha’s interference, he could have unified the power of countless beings, created his own Golden Body, and crushed Chi Songzi into powder instantly! However, the true lord of the Lapis Lazuli Pure Light World was the Medicine Buddha, and he was merely squatting in another’s nest. The karmic tie between the Medicine Buddha and the Lapis Lazuli World was too significant; even the Medicine Buddha could not control this aspect and had to let the Medicine Buddha disrupt things.

Chi Songzi, wielding the Heavenly Emperor Sword, raised it and conjured a sword rain to directly attack the two thousand medicine forks in the hands of the Medicine Buddha.

These two thousand medicine forks were the original medicine forks of the Medicine Buddha. As long as he had these two thousand medicine forks, he could recover even if he was beaten to a pulp.

"Quite a trick there, Medicine Buddha, but still not enough!" Chi Songzi roared furiously, igniting all his mana and True Qi; he became hysterical, and in an instant, he invoked the magical treasures of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors.

The Heavenly Emperor Sword was at the forefront, an Eight Trigrams Sword that upon striking, evolved into an Eight Trigrams World where the elemental forces of earth, water, wind, and fire cycled, slaying countless Mixed Yuan Golden Immortals. The sword aimed straight for the Golden Body of the Medicine Buddha to destroy the two thousand medicine forks within it!

Following that was the Earth Emperor Sword, which represented Shennong, with the virtues of the earth, being heavy, accommodating, vast, and magnificent. The Earth Emperor Sword was exceedingly powerful, its heavy will pressing down so fiercely that one could barely breathe, almost being crushed to death by the sword intent.

The Medicine Buddha rubbed his hands together, forming a Dharma Seal, and was immediately surrounded by Buddhas, medicine forks, Bodhisattvas, and others forming a grand array, the Gathering of Ten Thousand Buddhas. A tremendous force emerged from the array, striking towards the Heavenly and Earth Emperor Swords!

"The earth is receptive, and the noble man carries things with great virtue!" Chi Songzi shouted loudly, reciting an incantation from "The Book of Changes". The Earth Emperor Sword seemed to instantly evolve into vast mountains and rivers, boundless national destiny, and the populations, nearly embodying all the wills of the earth, immensely heavy.

"Heaven operates vigorously, and the noble man strives ceaselessly!" Chi Songzi then pointed at the Heavenly Emperor Sword, which vibrated, buzzing, transforming into a vast expanse of sword rain, pressing down on the Ten Thousand Buddhas Pilgrimage Formation, intending to kill them alive.

Ten thousand is a figurative number, there aren’t that many Buddhas on Mount Meru, having only three thousand All Buddhas. The Medicine Buddha’s own set-up was still immature; although the Lapis Lazuli Pure Light World could easily nurture rare talents.

Seeing Chi Songzi’s ferocity, the Golden Body of the Medicine Buddha glowed with blue light. He waved his arms continuously, casting hand seals, each as large as mountains, bombarding the two ancient Divine Swords, causing them to constantly tremble with reverberations. However, the Medicine Buddha could not shatter them, as these divine swords were sacred relics of the Ancient Human Emperor, crafted with immense devotion.

The power of Jieyin, weaker than both Chi Songzi and Zhen Yuanzi, couldn’t participate in such a fierce magic combat, so he did his best to slay some Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with at least a dozen falling by his sword. In his hands, the Xuanyuan Sword almost destroyed everything; with a slight maneuver of the sword technique, a stroke of his sword would instantly lead to bloodshed.

Zhen Yuanzi protected the Medicine Buddha, and with him there, all magic was repelled, and all comers quickly perished.

Chi Songzi attacked as fluidly as clouds and as violently as thunder, killing instantly in the blink of an eye; Zhen Yuanzi defended like a wall of copper and iron, the Book of Earth in operation, impenetrable. These two, one in offense and the other in defense, even with the Medicine Buddha playing his last card, could not easily capture the Medicine Buddha.

The Medicine Buddha rebuked, "You act contrary and perverse! The people within the Lapis Lazuli World face dire straits; this act goes against the wishes of Buddha! Cease immediately, or you will inevitably face retribution."

Yet, the Medicine Buddha sneered coldly, not saying much more, and captured him.

Zhen Yuanzi couldn’t help but curse, "Do you really think I don’t exist? What audacity!"

With that, he threw a spell that instantly shattered the Medicine Buddha’s hand into powder. Within the Buddha Kingdom in the body of the Medicine Buddha, two thousand medicine forks collectively chanted, and after a while, his shattered hand regenerated. Such was his incredible ability; as long as the two thousand medicine forks were alive, he could regenerate indefinitely.

Zhen Yuanzi said, "This fellow is hard to kill, friend Chi Songzi, let’s not tangle too much and quickly leave!"

Chi Songzi indeed wanted to leave, but since he was using the two divine swords to restrain much of the Medicine Buddha’s power and still had to counter the array, it was really tough. If he extracted himself now, the Medicine Buddha could immediately free his hands to break through Zhen Yuanzi’s defense and capture the Medicine Buddha, rendering all their efforts futile.

"Sword watch!" Enlightenment Dao threw out the Xuanyuan Sword and drew the Seven Stars Sword instead, continuing to battle fiercely with the Buddhas around him.

His combat strength was extremely high, his cultivated methods were top-notch, and he also possessed many powerful Magical Treasures. As soon as he invoked them, he immediately slaughtered all around him.

A burst from the Golden Sand Pill was launched, and with a crisp snap, it crushed a Buddha into mincemeat. Then, the Swallowing Dragon Stele fell down, booming several times as it suppressed and slaughtered several Bodhisattvas.

Chi Songzi completely integrated the Three Sovereigns Sword, and in the void, a gigantic sword almost ten thousand feet long manifested, as if spanning across the entire Lapis Lazuli World. It slashed down directly on the formation, causing a loud booming noise that shook the group of Buddhas into spewing blood.

"When will the World Honored One arrive?" Medicine Buddha’s eyes flashed with a cold light as he asked Moonlight Bodhisattva.

"Buddha Ancestor, it seems like the messenger we sent out has been ambushed—we’ve received no news at all!"

Medicine Buddha felt a sinking feeling and said, "It looks like they came prepared, having ambushed powerful figures outside the Lapis Lazuli World to kill our messengers heading to Mount Meru."

The Eastern Lapis Lazuli Pure Light World was located at the easternmost part of West Cow He State, almost reaching Southern Toad Continent, and it was hidden within an endless void. Ordinary people simply couldn’t enter, making it very secretive. The distance from here to Mount Meru was also not short. Now that the messengers sent out had been killed, it left only him to face Chi Songzi and others alone.

"Nine Heavens Thunder Movement, Bagua Shatter, Seven Stars Reversal..." After Chi Songzi broke the Ten Thousand Buddhas Pilgrimage Formation, he began to step on the Moving Clouds and offer sacrifices to the Heavenly Dao.

Medicine Buddha knew of his Nine Heavens Thunder Movement method; it was terrifying to hear that last time he even managed to slay Maitreya, almost causing Maitreya’s spirit to regress and lose his enlightened status! One could see just how dreadful this method was!

"Nine Heavenly Mysterious Temples, Sword draws Divine Thunder!"

Chi Songzi shouted violently, and thunderbolts suddenly descended, with nine thunders merging together, which he then invoked with the Three Sovereigns Sword, turning it into a Thunder Emperor!

This Thunder Emperor combined the forms and temperaments of the Three Sovereigns—having two horns, majestic and impressive, yet also profoundly virtuous, blending three qualities into one being.

The touch of that thunder immediately shattered Medicine Buddha’s Golden Body, almost completely crumbling it. Two thousand of his Medicine Forks were also slain by the thunder in an instant.

Nine Heavens Divine Thunder blasted a small hole in the Lapis Lazuli World, but it was still not enough.

Just then, a Golden Crow flew above the hole and, with a thunderous sound, blasted it open even more.

"Go!" Chi Songzi shouted.

The three had already invoked Medicine Buddha and had slain many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, reaping considerable rewards. It was not advisable to continue engaging in battle. They immediately entered through the torn pathway, and as Medicine Buddha prepared to pursue, another fire-emitting Golden Crow fell down, booming loudly, with flames about to sweep over heaven and earth. He hurriedly used his mana to suppress the flames, thereby protecting the Lapis Lazuli World from harm.

"Damn it! This Golden Crow must be Donghuang Taiyi, only he would have such ability to ruin my plans! To intercept our messengers," Medicine Buddha gritted his teeth as he spoke. They had invoked Medicine Buddha away, and since he had deep karmic connections with him, once Medicine Buddha’s cultivation achieved fruition, they would likely have an inevitable major battle. But the outcome of that battle was uncertain.

Chi Songzi and the others had long since fled thousands of miles away, while Medicine Buddha struggled in Zhen Yuanzi’s hold, yelling, "Put me down! Put me down!"

Zhen Yuanzi loosened his grip and set him down, then shook his wooden staff, which immediately produced three pepino fruits. He said, "Eat these fruits!"

Medicine Buddha then clasped his hands together and said, "Sinful, sinful! If I don’t enter Hell, who will? Although these pepino fruits resemble infants, I’ll still eat them. In these troubled times, the only way is to enhance strength, which is the right path."

Enlightenment Dao thought that this Medicine Buddha was much more straightforward and didn’t pretend otherwise.

Medicine Buddha took the pepino fruits and swallowed them. When eating the second one, he choked so much that his eyes repeatedly rolled back. Zhen Yuanzi slapped him on the back, helping him swallow it, amusingly confusing the trio.
