Tribulation and fortune are eternal topics among People of the Immortal Path. Tribulation refers to hardships and fortune to luck. Taoism and Buddhism have profoundly deep concepts of causality; intertwined with tribulation and fortune, they rise and fall in succession. Taoism prevailed in the end because Donghua the Great Emperor reincarnated and took up cultivation anew as Lu Dongbin, founding the Complete Truth Sect, which thrived in later generations. Otherwise, the luck of Taoism might have very well been completely suppressed by Buddhism.

Bearing great cultivation and foresight, Donghua the Great Emperor saw the potential rise of the Complete Truth Sect and thus chose to be reborn in response to calamity, thereby dissolving many of the hardships faced by Taoism and enhancing its fortune to a degree.

Fuxi also admired Donghua the Great Emperor’s decisiveness and methods, but lamented that Lu Dongbin was now advancing at a glacial pace in his cultivation, unsure when he would be able to regain the cultivation level of Donghua the Great Emperor.

After pondering for a moment, Enlightenment Dao said, "Emperor Fuxi’s words have opened my eyes. Now more than ever, I must strive and preserve our Four Great Continents."

Suddenly, his complexion changed. His original body, while wandering the universe with the Nirvana Pearl, had encountered a mishap—it had been lured into the World of Heavenly Demons by an Extraterritorial Heavenly Demon.

He was bound by significant karma to Other-transforming Self at Ease, and while wandering the cosmos, Other-transforming Self at Ease seized the opportunity to pull him into the World of Heavenly Demons.

"This is bad! My original body has been taken by Other-transforming Self at Ease into the World of Heavenly Demons! What should I do?" Enlightenment Dao exclaimed in shock.

"Worry not, I shall divine for you," said Fuxi calmly. He then laid out the He Tu and Luo Shu, the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, and began his calculations.

After a moment, Fuxi finally said, "There is danger, but no peril, and there might even be a great opportunity. Your fortune is profound and your tribulation is light; there’s no need for concern."

Wukong, favored by the Heavenly Dao, naturally turns danger into safety, blessed with profound luck and light tribulations, enabling him to elevate his cultivation so rapidly in such a short time.

Enlightenment Dao was taken aback and asked, "Does the Emperor mean to say, this time I might penetrate the world’s origin and become a creator?"

Fuxi answered, "From the Law Realm to the Creation Boundary, it’s neither difficult nor easy. Some people cannot see through the world’s origin in their entire lives, while others soar through this realm, attaining continuous promotions. It all depends on whether your original body can find the opportunity in the World of Heavenly Demons."

Other-transforming Self at Ease, due to Wusheng’s previous rescue of Daoist Equal to Heaven in the World of Heavenly Demons, had formed karma with all three of Wukong’s forms, and would take any opportunity to draw them into the World of Heavenly Demons to strike at them! Wukong, holding the Nirvana Pearl and wandering myriad worlds, was directly pulled by Other-transforming Self at Ease into the World of Heavenly Demons.

Nu Wa created humanity, and Fuxi taught them. Both are ancestors of the Human Clan, with Fuxi’s Dao being the Human Path, which impresses the Heavenly Dao with human virtues, earning its recognition. Thus his mana is extremely powerful, reaching the Semi-Saint level, even causing Tathagata to regard Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors with much wariness.

Enlightenment Dao, reassured, otherwise would have had to make a trip to the Thirty-Three Heavens to borrow the Sky-Breaking Divine Shuttle from the Leader of Heaven-Penetrating in order to enter the World of Heavenly Demons and rescue his original body.

Meanwhile, as Wukong was holding the Nirvana Pearl and wandering the universe, he suddenly felt drawn by a mysterious and powerful force, which vaguely gave him insight into the world’s origin. Thus he followed this power and unwittingly entered the World of Heavenly Demons. He found himself amidst desolate planets devoid of life, with Heavenly Demons hiding on them, howling loudly, all of them sneering as though they had already considered him their prey.

"Perfect, drawing me into the World of Heavenly Demons. I’ve already offered up a million Heavenly Demons as a sacrifice to the Heavenly Dao! This time I’ll transform a few tens of millions more!" mused Wukong coldly in his heart.

Upon ascending to the Law Realm, Daoist Equal to Heaven had sacrificed a million Heavenly Demons and the Heavenly Demon King within his inner Buddha Kingdom to the Heavenly Dao, aligning him closer with the Heavenly Dao. Now, Wukong again entered the World of Heavenly Demons, planning to continue capturing and transforming Heavenly Demons, which would again provide him with a vast amount of incense power and wishes.

The Freedom Heavenly Devil Lord descended upon a frozen planet, watching Wukong with a cold gaze, "I did not expect you to be so formidable, actually mastering a peerless Divine Skill like Fetal Transformation and Easy Shape-Shifting! If not for a premonition, I would have remained oblivious."

The cultivation of the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord was also terrifying. He ruled over the World of Heavenly Demons, born from the Heavenly Dao, and the heavenly demons were the tribulations of cultivators. To become an immortal was to go against the heavens, and one would inevitably face endless tribulations, the Three Disasters and Nine Tribulations. Some people, in order to avoid these calamities, had no choice but to be reborn into another life.

"Last time you were protected by the Mother of Non-Duality, but today I will see who will protect you!" the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord bellowed, reaching out a hand to capture Wukong.

"Not good!" Wukong cried out silently and turned to flee. The power of this Heavenly Devil Lord of Freedom was too overwhelming; he was no match.

But how could the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord let him escape? With a simple grab, he caught him, ready to crush him to death. But suddenly, three lotus flowers flew out of Wukong’s body. These lotuses were crystal-clear, with a streak of golden light flowing within them. With a bang, they forcefully repelled the hand of the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord, causing black demon blood to flow.

Heavenly demons are spirits without form, but the Other-transforming Self at Ease had materialized his spirit, cultivating a flesh body, which was truly formidable!

"The Meritorious Lotus Platform of Amitabha Buddha? I didn’t expect you to have such a treasure!" The face of the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord darkened, having not anticipated that Wukong had such an object within him, which had injured him with its shock.

Amitabha Buddha had personally taken action in the past to obliterate the World of Heavenly Demons. However, the World of Heavenly Demons could regenerate infinitely, and after he destroyed it several times, he ceased his efforts — after all, the heavenly demons were always the greatest threat to Buddhist Enlightened Ones! His Meritorious Lotus Platform had the most restraining effect on heavenly demons, just like the Sky-Breaking Divine Arrow was powerfully lethal to the Various Heavens and Nine Heavens, embodying the very concept that one thing suppresses another! Even among these mighty beings, there were times of mutual restraint.

The Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord clenched his spells, chanting, "The World of Heavenly Demons, with endless will; Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, I alone am exalted! Let it be suppressed!"

He drew upon the entire power of the World of Heavenly Demons; he was the master of that world, and its will was under his control, bearing down on Wukong with crushing force.

Wukong knew this was his fated tribulation. Once he entered the World of Heavenly Demons, his connection with his other two bodies was completely severed. He could only rely on himself.

"The past does not change, eternally existing; the present is unwavering, my heart like stone; the future shifts, unpredictable! Past, present, future, Three Lives as One! Man Follows the Law of the Earth, Earth’s Law Becomes Heaven, Heaven’s Law and the Way, The Way Follows Nature! Unity of the Three Teachings!" Wukong’s feet manifested a lotus platform; he sat cross-legged upon it as his Three Lives identity materialized, shielded by three lotuses and resisting the will of the entire World of Heavenly Demons.

How heavy is the will of a world? How despair-inducing? Fortunately, the Meritorious Lotus Platform of Amitabha Buddha was the nemesis of the World of Heavenly Demons, and that willful force, when it pressed down, was immediately blown to pieces.

"This is the will of the World of Heavenly Demons, the essence of the world! When attacked, I can also sense the profound mysteries of this world’s origin." Wukong suddenly felt a marvelous sensation; if he could control the origin of the world, he would be able to create from the void, forge life, and construct secret realms.

To suppress him, the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord relied on the world’s will, but with the Meritorious Lotus Platform in Wukong’s hands, he was fundamentally unable to kill Wukong. The World of Heavenly Demons’ will could not crush him to death either, which greatly annoyed the Great Freedom Heavenly Demon Lord.

"The Other-transforming Self at Ease is truly formidable, indeed the being that forced Siddhartha Gautama Buddha to burn with Karmic Fire for five hundred years. However, killing me won’t be easy. These three lotuses protect me, impervious to all methods. The will of the heavenly demons conflicts with the will of Buddhism and is even restrained by it." Wukong saw this clearly and his mind calmed, beginning to comprehend the secrets of creation through the world’s will that was suppressing him.

The Triple Primal Unity was extremely difficult to cultivate; each layer represented one heaven. This realm was not something one could just stack True Qi to reach, but it demanded true comprehension of the principles and essence. Those who grasped the essence and saw through the principles could advance quickly. This explained why the scholars of the Hundred Schools of Thought could become saints instantly through one piece of writing — their principles were powerful enough to gain recognition from the Heavenly Dao.

But how many people possess such great wisdom? Wukong had also come to understand great wisdom amidst life and death, and favored by the Heavenly Dao, he was able to cultivate at such a rapid pace. Yet at the barrier of the Creation Boundary, he found it too difficult to break through.

The spells of the Other-transforming Self at Ease were manifold and bewildering, ensnaring Wukong’s spirit. However, in his heart, Wukong quietly recited the Sutra for Crossing Sentient Beings. By crossing others, he crossed himself as well, rendering these illusions ineffective against him.
