Chapter 323 - 284: Acala Lends a Helping Hand
Chapter 323: Chapter 284: Acala Lends a Helping Hand
Wukong, invoking the City of Thunder, found that the Mosquito Taoist’s million incarnations, using their proboscis as flying swords to attack, were utterly ineffective, all were blocked effortlessly.
The City of Thunder was formidable, being a Magical Treasure of the Ancient Thunder God. Even the Mosquito Taoist could not breach it. As Wukong holed up within the City of Thunder, the Mosquito Taoist was essentially powerless.
Suddenly, Wukong burst out laughing, leaping from the City of Thunder, and taunted, "Mosquito Taoist, do you have any other tricks up your sleeve? Bring them out quickly, lest you lose your chance!"
The Mosquito Taoist retorted furiously, "Very well, very well, you wily Macaca, let me show you my true capabilities! You’ll see how formidable I am!"
This Mosquito Taoist was formidable indeed. With a pinch of a spell, golden lotuses with three petals each appeared around him, which were the Third-grade Merit Lotus Platforms he had absorbed.
"Primordial Magical Treasures, the Merit Lotus Platforms! Although they are only third-grade, they are still tough to deal with!" Wukong’s expression darkened unexpectedly as he hadn’t anticipated that the Mosquito Taoist had such tricks up his sleeve to evolve the absorbed Lotus Platforms for his attack, which was simply incredible.
With a slight shout from the Mosquito Taoist, the three lotus flowers slashed towards him. Wukong, not daring to be careless, quickly raised his Jingu Bang to block.
"Clang!"
With a crisp sound, he was shockingly sent flying outward, a lotus flower hissing as it sliced past his rib, tearing open his skin and flesh, splattering golden blood.
He had achieved his Buddhahood, his blood having turned from red to golden, the authentic Buddha’s Blood. Wukong gasped in shock, channeled his mana, and healed his wound.
The Mosquito Taoist bent a finger and pointed at Wukong, and the three lotus flowers revolved and flew towards him, slashing at Wukong.
A sudden shiver ran through Wukong’s heart, thinking, "This is Amitabha Buddha’s Magical Treasure, absorbed by the Mosquito Taoist. The Saint’s methods are no small matter. Now that the Mosquito Taoist has released these three lotus flowers, I wonder if using the ’Sutra of the Other Shore’ could allow me to control them? If I can seize these three lotus flowers and refine them myself, my mana would surely make a significant leap!"
Wukong began to channel the ’Sutra of the Other Shore,’ "Thus have I heard, why is that Buddha called Amitabha? Because his light shines throughout the ten directions..." A great will arose, and he seemed to communicate with Amitabha Buddha through this scripture. Although he did not cultivate this scripture, being integrated as one, he could channel the Divine Thoughts of the Daoist Equal to Heaven to operate it; however, this move must be used cautiously as being detected by others would ruin everything.
"Is this possibly the will of Amitabha Buddha?!" the Mosquito Taoist exclaimed in shock, sweating profusely, not expecting Wukong to have such capabilities.
"May I enable all under heaven to reach Ultimate Bliss, may I alleviate the world from suffering, may all beings in this world achieve Buddhahood, may I guide and transform all demons and evil..."
A grand spiritual essence spread through the void. In ancient times, Amitabha Buddha had moved the Heavenly Dao and accumulated merit with a mere "May I," thus, becoming a Saint. Now, as Wukong channeled the ’Sutra of the Other Shore,’ he actually connected with his will, and the voice of Amitabha Buddha echoed across this piece of heaven and earth. He aimed to save the suffering masses with great compassion and great divine power, ensuring that all beings under heaven reach the Pure Land and Ultimate Bliss.
"No! My Merit Lotus Platforms!" The Mosquito Taoist suddenly screamed, the three lotus flowers, feeling this spiritual will, paused and then descended into Wukong’s hands.
Wukong couldn’t help but laugh heartily. The Mosquito Taoist really didn’t understand that attacking someone who had inherited from Amitabha Buddha with Merit Lotus Platforms was akin to handing over benefits. He had now easily subjugated the Third-grade Merit Lotus Platforms, seizing the Mosquito Taoist’s foundation.
Wukong indifferently said, "Whether or not this is the will of Amitabha Buddha I do not know, but I only know that the World Honored One of Mount Meru is Tathagata."
He said this as a precaution to prevent others from knowing, so if Tathagata became suspicious, he would have a reason to clear away the suspicion.
The Mosquito Taoist shouted, "Return my Merit Lotus Platforms!"
Wukong, however, said, "Once taken, how can there be any reason to return it? Can a duck that has reached the mouth fly away again?"
With a dignified demeanor, he held a Dharma Seal in hand and displayed his divine skills, blocking the Mosquito Taoist. A gigantic Golden Lion materialized, opening its mouth to bite at the Mosquito Taoist.
Suddenly, the Mosquito Taoist transformed into countless incarnations again, turning into fist-sized mosquitoes flying towards Wukong. He waved his hand, releasing the City of Thunder, and the Mosquito Taoist’s incarnations stood no chance against the City of Thunder. Within moments, they were blasted into ashes by the Ancient Thunder Cannon!
This Ancient Thunder Cannon required no True Qi, only needed to absorb the yang true qi from the heavens and earth daily. Of course, placing it directly into the Sea of Thunder to absorb thunder was the best. Continuously using the Ancient Thunder Cannon consumed quite an amount of the force of thunder from the City of Thunder, but this was nothing for the City of Thunder which had been hidden in the Sea of Thunder, absorbing its force for countless millennia. The remaining thunder was still plentiful, enough for the Ancient Thunder Cannon to last a while longer.
"Past, present, future! The Three Lives and Three Realms, Three Gives Birth to All Things!" Wukong joined his hands together, the three lotus flowers blossomed, and three figures seated themselves atop, representing his past, present, and future. This is what the Buddhist sect cultivates.
The Three Lives and Three Realms, and the latter, the Three Gives Birth to All Things, are Taoist teachings. This represents the Dual Cultivation of Life and Essence, the Integration of Buddhism and Daoism with terrifying power.
The mystical secrets of the Buddhist Sect combined with the divine skills of the Taoist Sect intertwined as he unleashed a punch and exclaimed, "With the power of three lifetimes, I forge this unparalleled fist! Mosquito Taoist, take this punch from me!"
This punch, empowered by the Meritorious Lotus Platform and the profound mysteries of both the Buddhist and Taoist Sects, was terrifyingly powerful. The Mosquito Taoist felt it was unstoppable, as though the Heavenly Dao decided he had too much karmic force and too deep karmic ties, personally intervening to eradicate him! It seemed as if this person was executing the will of the heavens, with all divine forces converging upon him!
"Boom!"
The void collapsed significantly, revealing an aura of primordial chaos. The laws of Heavenly Dao swiftly repaired the collapsed void. A massive fist seal, carrying ferocious wind, struck towards the Mosquito Taoist, intending to pulverize him completely.
The Mosquito Taoist formed a spell, shouting, "Netherworld Blood Sea, unpredictable divine power, empower me!"
This Mosquito Taoist did not have a humble origin, greatly related to the Netherworld Blood Sea. Born from a mosquito within the Blood Sea, he once took a bite of the placenta of the Ming River, but didn’t gain much advantage until he absorbed power from the Tortoise Spirit Holy Mother and the Meritorious Lotus Platform, which bestowed him with such divine skills. Now unable to counteract, he sought the power of the Blood Sea to fend off Wukong’s punch.
The Ming River frowned, calculated with his fingers, and sneered, "This mosquito, having sucked on my placenta, now wishes to use the power of my Blood Sea to fend off his fatal disaster? How could this be possible?"
He had karmic ties with the Mosquito Taoist too, and seeing him eliminated would satisfy him greatly. Why would he lend the power of the Blood Sea to the Mosquito Taoist? With just a spell, he suppressed the power of the Blood Sea.
The Mosquito Taoist, seeing that he could not borrow the power of the Blood Sea, his face drastically changed. He could only try his best to operate his Method to protect his body, ready to let his Primordial Spirit leave the body and flee at any moment.
If his physical body was killed, he would not be able to control it anymore. He could only abandon it, but as long as he preserved a wisp of divine thought of the Primordial Spirit, he could either slowly reconstitute a new body or cultivate anew, even resort to Body-Snatching.
The fearsomeness of the Mosquito Taoist lay in his ability to transform into myriad mosquitoes to flee, making it hard to capture all at once; otherwise, he would not have escaped from the grasp of Amitabha Buddha.
A Saint’s roar, like the Lion’s Roar, was extremely terrifying. Even Law Realm experts could be killed instantly, with only the creator capable of withstanding it.
As Wukong activated his Fist Technique, he also recited the True Words. With these True Words, combined with his fist technique, the power was significantly enhanced!
"Boom boom!"
The Mosquito Taoist, protecting himself, felt the punch as though the entire Primordial Universe had crushed onto him; his body nearly exploded and he nearly died, spitting out mouthfuls of old blood continuously.
Initially, he was stunned by the True Words ambush from Wukong, otherwise, he could have fought more fiercely. Now, having lost the Meritorious Lotus Platform, he was truly at his wit’s end. His clone’s abilities were troublesome for anyone, but Wukong had the City of Thunder, with one hundred and eight Ancient Thunder Cannons to target mosquitoes, making it an easy task. With one strike, a Sea of Thunder engulfed and slaughtered countless.
He had met his nemesis, else he wouldn’t have been defeated so hastily.
The Mosquito Taoist shouted, "Spare me, Victorious Fighting Buddha, I am willing to convert to the Buddhist Ancestor, I truly intend to convert to the Buddhist Ancestor!"
Wukong, however, sneered, "Shameless old thief, your sins are deep, against heavenly morality, the only way to cleanse this karmic force is to let you die!"
It is said in the Buddhist Sect that divine skills cannot conquer karmic forces, which are the most frightening. The Mosquito Taoist, born in the Blood Sea, slaughtered nearly eighty thousand people, yet oddly did not accumulate much karmic force; otherwise, the Nine Heavens would have intervened much earlier, not leaving it to Wukong. After all, those from the Netherworld Blood Sea, especially the Ming River who wielded two Divine Swords, could kill anyone, including the emperor of the Human Clan, without attracting any karma or slaughter karmic force.
Yet he did not dare to do so. If he did, he might be besieged by the Three Pure, and even with enormous abilities, escape would be impossible.
The Mosquito Taoist exclaimed, "I hailed from the Netherworld Blood Sea, inherently embodying the Will of Slaughter, killing without accruing karmic forces; your arguments are forceful, bent on killing me, this is not the teaching of the compassionate Buddhist Sect. Buddha preached putting down the butcher knife to immediately achieve Buddhahood, I am willing to put down the knife!"
Wukong sneered, "Even if you put down the butcher knife, it’s useless. Even the Buddhist Ancestor has his moments of Wrathful Vajra. Such demons as you should have been eradicated long ago!"
Wukong unleashed another punch, knocking the Mosquito Taoist over, smashing his bones completely, he cried out, "You’re killing me too!"
Just as Wukong was about to pursue his victory and obliterate him completely with another punch, his punch was suddenly entangled by a chain.
"Acala?!" Wukong’s brow furrowed, it was Acala who had stopped him.
