Chapter 229: Chapter 220: The Luck Divides and Chaos Ensues in the Central Plains_3

"Boom!"

The Daoist Equal to Heaven struck with a Sky-Overshadowing Seal on the ground, causing the entire Uttara Kuru Kingdom to tremble. A huge crater appeared in the desert, almost a hundred zhang deep, startling Flying Liann—who thought that if such a palm hit him directly, he would certainly turn into minced meat. Only then did he realize how terrifying the physical body of the Mahoraga was, capable of forcefully breaking the Sky-Overshadowing Seal of the Daoist Equal to Heaven with his bare fists.

Transforming into a giant dragon, the Heavenly Demon King whipped his tail against Flying Liann, knocking him over and off the clouds.

"Take another one of my Merciful Palm strikes!" The Daoist Equal to Heaven slammed down another palm, its giant seal causing harsh winds, making it nearly impossible to open one’s eyes.

His Divine Skills were unleashed almost within the blink of an eye, the Supreme Right Enlightenment possessing countless thoughts; with a single thought activated, he could deploy Divine Skills. How could it be so fast? Flying Liann had once seen it; his "Laozi was born extraordinary" linked Divine Skills slashing down, completely unstoppable.

The blood in Flying Liann’s body boiled like water, bubbling intensely, almost exploding.

"Shaman God Fist!" Flying Liann broke the palm seal with a punch, only to see another massive palm seal descending. The Divine Skills of the Daoist Equal to Heaven were too formidable. He was simply no match.

The Daoist Equal to Heaven proclaimed, "Laozi was born extraordinary, spanning the Four Seas and a thousand mountains; the Five Elements crafted Equal to Heaven’s force, have a taste of this Great Golden Pill!"

As he opened his mouth, a "pfft" sound emerged as he spat out a Great Golden Core. While Flying Liann was dealing with the second palm seal and had not yet turned around, the Golden Core struck him on the chest. His body immediately flew horizontally, his skin cracking and blood splattering everywhere.

"Laozi was born extraordinary, Tathagata can only be third place; Flying Liann will not pass today, have another Great Golden Pill!" The Daoist Equal to Heaven then touched his own forehead, and with a "pfft" sound, another Golden Pill Relic flew out.

"Pop!"

This Golden Pill Relic hit its mark, sending Flying Liann rolling dozens of li away. The Heavenly Demon King swiftly followed up with a Merciful Palm strike, smashing Flying Liann straight into the ground.

"Laozi was born extraordinary, feet on the ground and hands blocking the sky; created heaven and earth, became an immortal in a moment, slaying gods and exterminating demons with a single thought!"

The Daoist Equal to Heaven pointed his finger at the ground, and instantly a Sword of Wisdom surged from his third eye. Imitating Heaven and Earth also manifested in a blink of an eye, his Dharma Body gripping the Sword of Wisdom and slashing towards Flying Liann.

Flying Liann exclaimed, "My life is over!"

His massive head was suddenly sent flying by the Sword of Wisdom, his eyes wide open, still very much unwilling.

"Destroy your Primordial Spirit!" The Daoist Equal to Heaven roared furiously. He despised Flying Liann to the bone, disrupting his plans twice. How could he tolerate him?

Just as Flying Liann’s Primordial Spirit attempted to escape from his head, the Daoist Equal to Heaven cast the Garuda’s Giant Palm Seal. His entire palm seemed like a Heavenly Net, attempting to capture Flying Liann within his grasp.

Knowing he could not escape death, Flying Liann declared, "Even in death, I won’t make it easy for you! Chi You Blood, explode for me!"

His blood transformed into droplets of Divine Thunder, exploding in the palm of the Daoist Equal to Heaven. Groaning in pain, the Daoist Equal to Heaven immediately loosened his grip as the Divine Thunders crackled continuously, blasting his right hand into a bloody mess. The Daoist Equal to Heaven, enduring the pain, recited a spell and his right arm immediately restored itself, gold Buddha Light erupting from his body. Within that Buddha Light, it seemed as if countless Buddhas were seated, their sacred sounds bursting forth and suppressing Flying Liann’s self-destruction.

With Flying Liann’s death, the Human Path’s luck naturally dissipated. It split into five directions and flew away, disappearing without any trace, impossible to grasp. The Daoist Equal to Heaven, stunned, realized that Flying Liann had played a final trick before his death.

"Five Paths of Luck, the Five Barbarians disrupting the Central Plains?!" The Daoist Equal to Heaven’s eyelids twitched wildly, realizing that the barbarian tribes living in the Uttara Kuru Kingdom would now benefit from the dispersed luck.

This was the Imperial Qi of the Ancient Shennong Clan! With such luck, one naturally could contend for the Central Plains. One reason those barbarians could not invade the Central Plains in the past was their lack of such luck. But now, with Flying Liann’s death and the dispersion of the Divine Farmer’s Luck into five paths, it was likely to be gained by the barbarians, subsequently allowing those nations of barbarians the capability to contend for the Central Plains!

Indeed, Flying Liann feared that if only one or two paths were released, they could be seized by the Daoist Equal to Heaven; hence, with his self-explosion, he split the luck into five paths. These were not ordinary paths of luck; in time, they could enable those tribes to grow strong and possess the strength to contend. The Daoist Equal to Heaven had not anticipated, due to a freak coincidence, that the Heavenly Dao’s history continued on its original trajectory.

The Five Barbarians disrupt the Central Plains, followed by the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and Buddhism would rapidly grow during this period, standing toe to toe with Daoism! The Journey to the West was ultimately bound to begin.

The Daoist Equal to Heaven could not help but look to the heavens and laugh bitterly, thinking, "Oh, heaven, you don’t play fair; if I had known killing Flying Liann would cause the luck to scatter among the Five Barbarians, I wouldn’t have killed him!"

The disruption of the Central Plains by the Five Barbarians was a grand catastrophe for the Central Plains, followed by a time of reconstruction leading to the prosperous era of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, perfectly exemplifying that things turn around at their extreme.

The Green-robed Ancestor and Blood Demon Ancestor, seeing Flying Liann killed, were also stunned; the great trend had passed, and with Flying Liann dead, the whereabouts of the Chi You Armor were also out of reach. The Turtle and Snake Generals, seeing the Daoist Equal to Heaven kill Flying Liann, were gloomy and quite puzzled as well.
