Chi Songzi was a Rain Mage during the time of Earth Emperor Shennong. He took Ice Jade Powder and taught Shennong. He could enter fire without burning. He often went to Queen Mother of the West’s stone chamber in Kunlun Mountains, following the wind and rain everywhere. Pursued by a young woman of the Flame Emperor, she too achieved immortality and left with him. In the time of Emperor Ku of Gaoxin Clan, he again wandered the human world and became a Rain Mage once more. Today’s Rain Mages originate from him.

Chi Songzi was indeed a Rain Mage during the time of Earth Emperor Shennong, appearing within Shennong’s Secret Realm is also no surprise. Seeing a powerful entity like Chi Songzi, especially one from Ancient Times, everyone was greatly astonished and paused in action, whereas Enlightenment Dao was overjoyed internally. He had not expected that a Rain Mage like Chi Songzi would emerge to relieve their predicament within Shennong’s Secret Realm, which was truly miraculous! Chi Songzi’s mana was probably at least on the level of Mixed Yuan Golden Immortal Third Layer of Heaven, seeing as he had once guided Shennong, his mana couldn’t be low.

Poxun’s face darkened, and he asked, "Is Daoist friend Chi Songzi intending to stop me from killing?"

Chi Songzi laughed and replied, "Where is this Daoist friend from, so shameless? He is merely a Daluo Golden Immortal Third Heaven in cultivation level, yet you, being a Mixed Yuan Golden Immortal Second Layer expert, still want to join others in a collective attack? Maybe I should take his place in this fight and see what skills this Daoist friend possesses."

Poxun’s gaze flickered; Chi Songzi had participated in the Middle Ancient Times War and might have been injured, but with such long recovery time, he might have fully recovered. Plus, this person’s mana was already immense in Ancient Times, likely comparable to a Quasi-Saint. Even if he held the Twin Swords, he was no match!

Poxun sneered and declared, "I am Poxun, a disciple under Ancestor Minghe of the Netherworld Blood Sea. Chi Songzi better step aside, lest it provoke my master and send your life away unwarranted."

Chi Songzi could not help but laugh, "Minghe has secluded himself ever since the creation of the world. What threat does he pose to me? I achieved Dao when Heaven and Earth first parted, was friends with the Three Emperors, and peers with the Five Emperors. Even Earth Emperor Shen Nong would call me ’master’. Your use of Minghe to intimidate me is ineffective!"

Poxun was unwilling to let go of Enlightenment Dao, the Hundred Herbs Cauldron, or the Ochre Whip. With a fierce glare, he shouted, "Attack!"

Poxun then raised the Yuantu and Abi Twin Swords, transforming them into beams of frosty light mingled with endless Karmic Force, ruthlessly attacking Chi Songzi.

"Great Divine Sky Way, Nine Heavenly Mysterious Temples! Creation of the Void, Purple Dawn Divine Thunder!" Chi Songzi recited an Oral Spell, his voice cold and firm as iron. As he finished, the void thundered resonantly.

Chi Songzi flicked his finger, and suddenly endless divine thunders erupted in the void, all purple, rolling tumultuously like Divine Dragons. This was a creator’s method, harnessing the secrets of Creation, directly manifesting various elements from thin air.

The Twin Divine Swords penetrated the Purple Dawn Divine Thunder, yet were struck to the extent of dispersing their Karmic Force. The Purple Dawn Divine Thunder was an extremely powerful lightning from the Divine Sky Taoist Magic, not something ordinary people could invoke. Only a mighty being like Chi Songzi could manufacture it directly, truly terrifying!

Chi Songzi raised his branch, stepping in an ancient footwork—this was the Eight Trigram Steps created by Fuxi. Being friends with the Three Emperors, he naturally exchanged knowledge with Fuxi and learned the Eight Trigram Steps. Chi Songzi, swinging his tree branch, stepped in the ancient Da Yu’s Steps, originally created by Da Yu. As Chi Songzi’s feet moved in Da Yu’s Steps, his movements became elusive, and he vocally commanded, "Wild Winds!"

As he quickened his steps, it seemed to resonate with the Heavenly Dao Laws, and then he formed a spell, from which a gust of fierce wind blew as if the Heavenly Dao had opened its eyes, forcefully blowing at Poxun like a deep, bone-chilling breath, causing him to howl in agony, falling to the ground. The dharma image was also shattered in one blow.

Da Yu’s Steps, inherently for invoking wind and rain, coupled with Chi Songzi’s mastery in manipulating the elements, now combined with his display of Divine Powers, were terrifyingly powerful. This gust of wind, subtly incorporated with the Heavenly Dao Laws, shattered the dharma image behind Poxun and knocked him to the ground, leaving his entire body bloody, as if slashed by hundreds of steel blades.

Enlightenment Dao was utterly astounded. This was the true display of the "Divine Sky Torrential Rain" Method Divine Skill. His own use of it was nothing compared to this; it was like comparing the bright moon to a pearl made of rice.

"Thunderous Torrential Rain!"

With a change of spell in his hand, Chi Songzi directed it at Poxun, who jumped in surprised from the ground, positioning the Twin Swords above his head. Suddenly, dense dark clouds filled the void, followed by a downpour. Countless raindrops, each a Divine Thunder, bombarded Yuan Tu and Abi, exploding with a crackling sound like firecrackers.

Rain Mage Chi Songzi was incredibly formidable. In his hands, Poxun was like a clay doll, completely at his mercy without a chance to resist.

"It won’t do, Chi Songzi’s mana might not be below the Ancestor. Only the Ancestor can defeat him with the Primordial Magical Treasures! I’m no match for him!" Poxun thought to himself, wielding the Yuan Tu Sword to break through countless rows of torrential rain.

Chi Songzi smiled and said, "Esteemed Daoist friend, would you care to test more of my humble methods? I have yet to use many of my techniques!"

Upon hearing this, Poxun dared not challenge Chi Songzi any further, knowing too well that his own strength was far inferior. But seeing that the duck at his mouth was about to fly away, the hatred in his heart was hard to quench! Yet, he couldn’t contend against Chi Songzi, where did he dare pursue Enlightenment Dao? Enlightenment Dao’s physical body originally belonged to The Great Sage Wuzhiqi, the Red-Bottomed Horse Monkey Water Ape, who had died and been taken over by him, gaining the Divine Sky Torrential Rain skill in the process. Chi Songzi intervened to help only when he saw this Dao being employed. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bothered with his life or death.

The Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip of Shennong were naturally left to fate, to end up with whoever could seize them, and he in Shennong’s Secret Realm would not interfere, only stepping in after seeing the successor of Divine Sky Torrential Rain encircled and attacked.

Poxun, holding a length of twig, said to Chi Songzi, "I have long heard of the great name of Rain Mage Chi Songzi. Witnessing it today, it certainly lives up to its reputation! This seat admits inferiority! However, friending Chi Songzi incurs such enmity, it’s likely inevitable that my Netherworld Blood Sea will afflict you in the future! Better if your successor handed over the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and Ochre Whip, only then could this hatred be dispelled."

Seeing the situation was lost, the Green-robed Ancestor turned immediately into a green light and fled far away.

The Blood Demon Ancestor paused slightly, knowing that the wily Green-robed Ancestor would certainly lead to no harm, also transformed into a streak of blood light and flew off to chase the Green-robed Ancestor.

Vishnu harbored silent hatred but knew too Poxun was no match for Chi Songzi. With Chi Songzi determined to protect Enlightenment Dao’s life, they had no recourse!

This trip to Shennong’s Secret Realm yielded them nothing but a loss, including Indra, enraging Vishnu and Poxun to steaming fury.

"At least make this scoundrel return the treasure he took from our Netherworld Blood Sea!" Vishnu demanded.

"Did you take their treasure?" Chi Songzi asked.

"No, what treasure? I don’t know about any," Enlightenment Dao feigned confusion, making Poxun and Vishnu grind their teeth in anger.

Vishnu cursed, "Rascal, you just clearly took away my junior brother’s Asura Mirror, return it quickly!"

However, Enlightenment Dao shook his head and said, "Perhaps this esteemed friend is mistaken, I took no Asura Mirror. Just now, it seemed like Indra self-destructed along with the magical treasure."

Vishnu was furious.

Chi Songzi couldn’t help but laugh and said, "Since he claims he didn’t take it, and you two have no proof, let’s just forget about it then."

With Chi Songzi inclined to be conciliatory, Poxun and Vishnu had no choice but to comply, fearing provoking the Ancient Rain Master further might lead to being executed right there! This was a figure who could count as both friend and peer to the Three Emperors and the Five Emperors, and as both mentor and friend to Earth Emperor Shennong!
