Chapter 217: Chapter 212: Feng Bo Fei Lian Steals Luck

The story tells of the Demon Path forces and disciples of Mount Shu rushing into Shennong’s Secret Realm. Creating this realm was an act of the creator, a creation from the void—this space was crafted by the Shennong Clan after Feng Bo Fei Lian brought up the issue, leading the Demon Path forces to besiege Mount Shu.

Upon entering the Secret Realm, groups from all sides immediately flew at great speed, seeking Shennong’s Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip.

Worrying that Poxun might follow him, Enlightenment Dao feared he was no match for Poxun and didn’t dare to delay. Another encounter with Poxun meant certain death.

A Secret Realm was boundlessly vast, and finding the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and Ochre Whip was no easy task.

Leading the way, the Green-robed Ancestor flew swiftly forward, crossed a valley, and saw it was filled with precious Immortal Herbs. His heart tightened, and he thought to himself, "No rush, no rush! Get the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip first; these things are merely insignificant compared to those two Magical Treasures!"

Though the herbs in the valley were enticing, most of the powerful individuals ignored them and headed straight for the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip.

However, those of slightly lower cultivation couldn’t resist the pull of so many precious herbs, and one after another entered the valley.

"Haha! It’s actually Dragon Transformation Grass; hard to believe Shennong’s Secret Realm still contains such a herb!"

"This is the Nine-Leaf Immortal Grass, something that allows mortals to ascend and become immortals instantly when eaten, even more precious than Peaches of Immortality!"

"This is Yuan Shi Ginseng, which holds the aura of Primordial Chaos, eating one could cultivate Chaotic True Qi!"

A large number of Demon Path forces surged into the valley, fighting over the herbs. These ruthless and ferocious individuals from the Demon Path, seeing their desired herbs being picked by others, immediately started fighting. The people of the Demon Path, normally united, instantly turned on one another. Although there were many medicinal herbs in the valley, there were too many people, and the herbs were insufficient for nearly a hundred thousand individuals. They fought desperately to seize the herbs, each refusing to cease their assault.

The most abundant thing in Shennong’s Secret Realm was herbs, this valley being Shennong’s ancient medicinal valley, where he had planted herbs years ago. Over so many years, these herbs had gained terrifyingly powerful effects; eating just one could greatly advance one’s cultivation!

However, some people were not so lucky; they entered a valley full of poisonous herbs. Eagerly harvesting them and swallowing them immediately, they were poisoned to death.

In the boundless Secret Realm, finding Shennong’s Magical Treasures was simply a matter of good luck!

Enlightenment Dao flew wildly for tens of thousands of miles when suddenly he saw a thatched hut, which made him pause. He thought, "There’s a hut here, could it be hiding the Ochre Whip and Hundred Herbs Cauldron?"

Just as he was about to enter the hut, someone came out—it was none other than Feng Bo Fei Lian, who, seeing Enlightenment Dao, turned pale and started to flee.

Knowing that there must be treasures in the hut as Feng Bo Fei Lian wouldn’t be so eager to escape otherwise, Enlightenment Dao shouted furiously, "Where do you think you’re going!"

With the Seven Stars Sword in his hand, he formed a Sword technique. The sword flashed coldly, turning into a streak of light aimed at Fei Lian’s back. But Fei Lian, as if having eyes on his back, flipped over in midair, narrowly avoiding the thrust and turned into a vicious wind, escaping dozens of miles away.

Enlightenment Dao cursed inwardly, thinking Feng Bo Fei Lian must have already obtained some treasure, and he absolutely couldn’t let him escape. He immediately unleashed the Swallowing Dragon Stele. With booming sounds, nine Dragon-Consuming Steles pressed down like giant mountains, blocking Fei Lian’s path.

This blockade allowed Enlightenment Dao to catch up. He mocked, "Where else do you think you can go, Taoist friend?"

Seeing the Witch Clan symbols on Fei Lian, he was taken aback and wondered, "Could this person be from the Witch Clan? The runes on his body are exactly like those used by my brothers when they perform Imitating Heaven and Earth."

Feng Bo Fei Lian felt inward anger, distressed that he had been intercepted while escaping with a treasure. He hadn’t even had time to enjoy it yet!

"Taoist friend, I have neither grievances nor hatred with you. I’m not from the Demon Path; I belong to the Witch Clan. Why must you make things so difficult for me?" Fei Lian said, feigning calm.

"Hehe, I don’t care where you’re from, just hand over whatever you took from the hut and I’ll let you go," Enlightenment Dao said with a cold laugh.

"Oh? I didn’t get anything in the hut!" Fei Lian claimed.

Enlightenment Dao continued to laugh coldly, "If you got nothing, why did you flee upon seeing me? If you don’t hand it over, I will make my move."

Feng Bo Fei Lian huffed, about to speak, when he suddenly felt a gust behind him. Quickly channeling his Mana, the runes on his body began to flow. He felt a strike on the center of his back, blinding pain causing him dizziness as his Primordial Spirit nearly flew out of his body. Turning, he saw it was Longtou Daoren who had ambushed him! Thankfully, Enlightenment Dao currently lacked the Sword Dao Will enhancement from Shu Mountain Sword Cliff; otherwise, Longtou Daoren could have expelled Fei Lian’s Primordial Spirit with a single strike.

Flying Liann cursed, "You scoundrel, resorting to such despicable tricks!"

Enlightenment Dao exclaimed, "Now!"

A Golden Sand Pill was launched. Flying Liann became furious and, quickly summoning a fierce wind, this wind was indeed powerful. Although the Golden Sand Pill had the immense weight of a Taiyi Pure Golden Mountain, the wind forcibly diverted its course, striking the Longtou Daoren instead and knocking him off his feet while transforming into a massive Swallowing Dragon Stele.

Flying Liann thought to himself, "It seems I cannot seize this Magical Treasure, but in just a moment, I will have absorbed its luck, and there will be no issue in leaving!"

Enlightenment Dao withdrew the Golden Sand Pill and, wielding his sword, charged forward, cursing, "Will you hand it over or not? If not, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"

Flying Liann replied, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t get any treasure from that thatched cottage. Why are you pressing me so relentlessly?"

Enlightenment Dao coldly snorted and thrust a sword toward Flying Liann’s forehead. Yet, Flying Liann swiftly dodged and, opening his mouth, a gust of fierce wind transformed into a large axe and giant sword, slashing towards Enlightenment Dao. Enlightenment Dao, clasping a Sword technique in his left hand, generated a fire dragon on the blade. The flame, fueled by the wind, grew larger and fiercer, rolling back towards Flying Liann.

With a spell gesture, Flying Liann pointed at Enlightenment Dao, and a great gust of evil wind immediately rose, larger than before. Although fire can be fueled by wind, too strong a wind will blow it out, and this gust was so immense it made the Nine Dragon-Consuming Steles sway as if they were about to topple.

The fire dragon was utterly extinguished by this fierce gust. Enlightenment Dao clasped a spell, and a vast evil wind burst from his mouth, clashing with Flying Liann’s wind, making the whole Secret Realm seem to tremble.

Flying Liann thought to himself, "Just a little longer, and I will have absorbed all the human luck from the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip, then I can use this luck to scheme in the Central Plains!"

Flying Liann’s forte was not fighting, but strategy. Highly intelligent, he had devised many brilliant plans for Chi You in the past, even defeating the Emperor several times. Had it not been for the Emperor’s fated heavenly luck, and the intervention of the Mysterious Lady of the Nine Heavens, he might have been defeated by Chi You. Fortunately, he was aided and kept safe.

Although the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip were precious, Flying Liann realized he could not acquire them now. If Enlightenment Dao didn’t succeed, and the news spread, Flying Liann would have no peace! Being wise, he knew he should act wisely and not be bewitched by these Magical Treasures.

"Go!" Enlightenment Dao raised his hand, conjuring Divine Thunder that crackled and struck Flying Liann.

Struck by so much Divine Thunder, Flying Liann felt his Primordial Spirit almost paralyzed, cursing inwardly, "This Daoist is really persistent!"

Flying Liann then revealed his true form, a creature with a bird’s head and a deer’s body, with two antlers on the bird’s head, a quite peculiar sight. Being a bird, he naturally excelled in wind manipulation, earning him the title Feng Bo.

Also known as Dragon Sparrow, Flying Liann’s true form made the evil wind even more terrifying. It howled from all directions, forming a colossal vortex that nearly burst Enlightenment Dao within it!

Enlightenment Dao quickly used his Divine Skills, releasing a swath of dark clouds from his sleeves that enveloped him, with the evil wind slashing through the clouds surrounding his body incessantly.

"Explode!"

Enlightenment Dao used his Divine Skills to create a Sword Shadow Clone, dropping it into the very center of the vortex. It suddenly exploded, generating an immense force that scattered the evil wind.

Flying Liann snorted coldly, "You want the Magical Treasure, right? Here, take it! But be careful of others hunting you down, hahaha!"

Flying Liann’s eyes darted around until he spotted the approaching giant from the Demon Path, the Blood Demon Ancestor. Opening his mouth, he spat out an ancient Three-Legged Cauldron and a red whip—these were the Shennong’s Hundred Herbs Cauldron and Ochre Whip, used respectively for concocting elixirs and testing the properties of herbs, both rare treasures, the most precious items in Shennong’s Secret Realm.

Enlightenment Dao spread his sleeves, wrapping up the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip in his robe and stowing them away. Flying Liann burst into laughter, "Blood Demon Ancestor, you see, I have given him all the Magical Treasures; I’m no longer involved! I am not destined for these treasures, so I will no longer entangle with you. These treasures, I give to you!"

Suddenly, Flying Liann transformed into a gust of wind and rapidly flew away, vanishing in the blink of an eye. Enlightenment Dao, having secured the Hundred Herbs Cauldron and the Ochre Whip, and sensing they were genuine, knew that for Flying Liann to manufacture two such items in such short time would not be easy, so naturally, he did not pursue him further.

The Blood Demon Ancestor approached and demanded, "Hand over the treasures, and I might spare your life!"

He had witnessed Enlightenment Dao and the Green-robed Ancestor’s magical combat, aware of Enlightenment Dao’s strong Mana, powerful Magical Treasures, and substantial Divine Skills, making him very difficult to confront.

However, Enlightenment Dao merely smiled coldly, shrinking the two treasures and swallowing them, planning to refine them thoroughly later.

As to whom the treasures would ultimately belong, that remains to be seen. Stay tuned for the next episode. (To be continued.
