Chapter 51: 51 - Kaiser Versus Degula [2]

BAM!

Degula rushed at Kaiser as soon as the match started, he was tearing through the air!

And despite his massive size and weapon—his speed was abnormally fast!

"..."

Kaiser calmly looked at Degula. He was preparing to respond to his actions, tightly clutching his short sword and placing his buckler in front of him.

Then, when Degula was just a step away from him—

’Now!’

BAM!

Kaiser kicked off the ground and dashed in!

"?!"

Degula’s eyes widened, he didn’t expect Kaiser to close in.

He couldn’t swing down his greatsword because they were too close to each other! And before he could even try to anyway—

THUD!

Kaiser dived and used his body weight to bash Degula’s stomach with his buckler!

"URGH...!?"

Degula groaned, but he didn’t budge an inch. And with Kaiser in front of him—

"DIE!"

FWOOSH—!

He let go of his left hand from the greatsword and then he swung it diagonally down! He was aiming for Kaiser’s head with the back of his hand.

"Ugh...!"

FWISH—

Kaiser dodged by crouching down, then as he was in that position—

BAM!

He jumped and sent an uppercut at Degula’s chin as a counter with the buckler on his left forearm!

Though...

’It’s not a direct hit!’

Degula looked up at the same time the buckler made contact with his chin. He lessened the impact he received by a lot!

"...!"

Kaiser’s eyes widened when he saw Degula staring at him with a smirk.

FWOOSH!

Then a left hook coming toward his head appeared! Kaiser shielded the right side of his face with his buckler.

BOOM!

A loud sound was produced as Degula’s fist collided with Kaiser’s wooden shield.

"?!"

Kaiser’s left arm was flung up in the air along with his buckler from the force he received.

And in that moment—Degula grabbed the hilt of his greatsword with both hands... Then he swung downward.

S W O O O S H—!!!

Kaiser gritted his teeth, he couldn’t dodge. And so—

"GRAAAAAA—!!"

SWOOSH!

He slashed diagonally up with his short sword to intercept the attack. And the next thing everyone knew—their weapons collided.

T I I I N G—!!

Two metals clashing loudly echoed throughout the arena.

"GARGH!!!"

Kaiser received the attack with only his right hand, his forearm bone cracked.

THUD—

He was flung a few meters away because of Degula’s strength, he fell on all fours onto the ground.

Whoosh~

But he immediately pushed with his hands to stand up. And when he got up...

"KAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

He saw Degula already rushing at him straight while laughing like an idiot. So to respond to that—

TAP!

Kaiser stepped forward with his left foot and squatted a little, he was in a back-right stance.

He clenched the handle of his short sword with both hands.

And in the next moment... Degula arrived in front of him and slashed his greatsword horizontally!

W H O O S H—!!

Kaiser saw it coming. He twisted his torso to the left, and with all of his might—

SWISH—!

He swung horizontally straight too!

C L A N G—!!!

Sparks flew everywhere as their weapons met once more.

"?!!"

A deep frown appeared on Kaiser’s face as they came into a standstill... Degula was much stronger than him physically and was slowly pushing him back.

Though...

’Fights aren’t decided by strength alone.’

FWISH—

Kaiser did a 360 spin to his right as he retrieved his sword.

BOOM!

"?!!"

Degula’s greatsword slammed to the ground because of that, he was surprised.

Then after making a full spin, with his hands still on his weapon—

Phuck!

Kaiser stabbed forward, aiming at his opponent’s right ribs that were left wide open!

"Ugh...!!"

But Degula was able to twist his body to the side at the last second—Kaiser’s attack grazed him, but it didn’t pierce through!

BAM!

Then he launched a counterattack with a right backhand hook on Kaiser’s right side of the jaw!

"...!"

Kaiser turned his head to the left just in time and lessened the damage he took. He stumbled back a little...

"..."

But his eyes remained on his opponent.

And that’s when Kaiser saw it—Degula raised his greatsword with an absurd strength, he was only lifting it with his left hand!

And without an ounce of hesitation on his face—

FWOOSH!

Degula swung down his sword at him. Kaiser’s head would be split if he was hit!

But instead of worrying...

’Got you...!’

Kaiser smiled!

He raised his short sword above his head while holding it with both hands.

TANG!

The blades of their weapons collided for the third time! It was weaker than the previous two exchange they had.

This is because no matter how strong Degula was... Using a greatsword with just one hand is still far from him.

Fwip-

Kaiser slightly tilted his sword to the left.

SHIIIIIICK—

Degula’s greatsword slid through the blade of his short sword... And it hit the ground!

BOOM!

"..."

Kaiser successfully deflected Degula’s greatsword!

"?!!"

Degula was bewildered, he did not consider his attack being parried by a child!

And as he was in that state—Kaiser smoothly transitioned his arms and raise his sword above his head.

Then, while coldly staring at Degula in the eyes—

S L A S H—!

Kaiser slashed down his short sword diagonally from right to left without a thought in his head.

"..."

Silence engulfed the arena... It went like that for a few seconds.

Then...

Thud-

Degula’s head fell onto the ground. A clean cut through his neck decapitated him.

His eyes were still glaring, but the skin on his head was slowly losing color... It’s losing a lot of blood.

And finally, after realizing what just happened—

"WHAAAAAAA?!!"

"WHAT THE HELL?!!"

"WHO’S THAT KID?!!"

"WAIT... HE LOOKS FAMILIAR!!!"

The audiences started getting loud again, they were cheering for Kaiser.

Looks like they liked the fight.

But ignoring them...

"Haaaaa..."

Kaiser just took a deep breath... A small smile then appeared in his face.

’This is a bit exciting.’

He thought, pertaining about all the fighting happening.
