Chapter 95: Sixth Sense: Fear (6)

The third life-form in this mindscape was a fragment of the monster lord – at the very least 35% of its original power – that was sealed in the Wukong clan’s legendary staff.

Its form was obscured by the chaotic scarlet aura that surrounded it, yet it was still menancing.

"Listen here, white haired runt." The being said as he faced Morrigan, his tone imposing. "Look up."

His tone was commanding, one that left no room for arguments.

Morrigan tried to look up, but her body just trembled more as she imagined looking that demon eye-to-eye again.

The being noticed this.

"Fine." He sighed, then looked away. "Listen here, little runt. If you tell anyone about me, I’ll end you and your clan. It doesn’t matter if all the old men in your clan come at me at once, I’ll simply kill them, and leave their bodies littered on the ground.

It won’t matter if its just a random kid in your dumb clan or a woman, I’ll chop all of em’ up! In fact, all I want to do now is chop up women and kids! And then, for your clan head, I’ll decapitate him and give you his head to hold."

The being in the scarlet aura turned back to Morrigan.

"And leave only you alive as the last of your bloodline, so you can live knowing that you’re the reason your clan went deceased."

The being chuckled a bit, before making his way towards Morrigan. He squatted next to her, raising her head to meet his. "So do we have a deal? Don’t tell any soul about me. Are we clear?"

Morrigan made a feeble attempt to nod.

"Good." The being got up, reveling in his ability to move again.

"End this technique, its annoying seeing weak humans." The being commanded.

There was silence, silence that was present for a long time.

"I c- an’t." Morrigan answered.

"Hmm... Is that so?" The being muttered thoughtfully, putting a hand on his chin. \

"If that’s the case." The being kicked Morrigan lightly in the chest.

Morrigan’s body shot backwards, her form was a blur as it was embedded into the far walls of the cavern.

From that light kick alone, she passed out.

The being sighed, watching the girl’s body slump. As Morrigan fell unconscious, the cavern began to shake. In a moment, the rocks in the ceiling fell down as the place collapsed.

"You didn’t have to knock her unconscious." Ezra said suddenly, he had been watching everything unfold silently.

"Shut up, or do you forget that she broke all your limbs?" The being retorted annoyed, turning to the side as the ground rumbled and facing a wall.

"I know that, but-" Ezra was cut off.

"Shut up, a trash vessel who struggles against a weakling doesn’t deserve the right to talk back to me."

"Stil-"

"You’re always annoying with your trash principles, if you’re fighting, you fight to kill, only under special circumstances should the enemy be alive." The being explained as he turned towards Ezra. "You’re going to be a strong vessel, so your body will be strong enough to handle my power when I kill you and claim this body for myself."

The being was clear from his tone that he wasn’t Ezra to get stronger.

He was ordering him.

...

Jason watched once again as Sixth Sense: Fear activated, he had no idea on what was happening between the two of them, he could only speculate on what had really happened based on the words of the Hades clan elder.

But then suddenly, Morrigan’s finger slipped from Ezra’s forehead, her arm went back to join her body, and her body fell limp to the ground.

’What happened?’ Jason was confused at the turn of events.

A minute ago, Morrigan had been standing and hitting various points in his limb, rendering them unmovable, and now she had fallen to the ground, she had obviously been knocked out cold.

’Is it the backlash of using both Sixth Sense: Fear and Fifth Sense: Pain continuously?’ Jason wondered, noticing that Ezra had now woken up from being under her technique’s influence.

’No, Morrigan doesn’t seem like that kind of person.’ Jason thought, thinking back to her ice cold demeanor and her fighting style.. ’The kind of person that would act recklessly despite knowing that victory was achievable without reckless actions..’

Ezra was a defiant soul, even refusing to give up when his limbs were in serious condition and he had taken a beating. Compared to Raijin Alexia, who had given up when Zane’s dagger was a next from her neck, Ezra seemed like someone who never gave up.

’Then it has something to do with Ezra’ Jason concluded, his fingers on his chin as he thought.

Ezra could not get up, the damage that Morrigan did to him was still evident.

"She’s unconscious." Ezra said out loud.

And Smith Payster was quick to respond, declaring Ezra as the winner.

The Wukong clan elder moved towards Ezra, his steps were slow, but he watched the young heir of the Wukong clan, his gaze never leaving him.

"Drink this." The elder took out a healing potion from his space ring and tried to hand it to Ezra.

But he then noticed that Ezra could not move, the old man took it upon himself to pour the contents of the healing potion down his throat.

As the boy swallowed it, he coughed.

"Do you feel better?" The Wukong clan elder asked.

"No."

The old man frowned before proceeding to touch. He got up from his crouching position and went towards Payster. They had a short discussion, after which the Wukong clan elder went to retrieve Ezra from the hard ground.

Jason watched as Ezra was taken away, after he was taken, the same happened with Morrigan.

Jason yawned, bringing a hand over his mouth.

"It’s already clear on who the winner is.’ Jason mused. ’Ezra isn’t in any condition to fight, so Zane would win by default.’

Morrigan had lost, and Ezra seemed to be in critical condition; his body was so badly damaged that the healing potions brought by the elder didn’t work.

’If I remember well, healing potions can even heal a decapitated arm if given enough time.’ Jason thought, his thoughts drifting around after watching that fight.

’That would take at the very least, a few days before the arm regrew completely. And for the clan heirs, its always in surplus supply so they can fight for as long as they can hold out.’

Jason leaned on the wall, watching every single thing that happened from his vantage point.
