I don't usually like villain MCs but Shang's transformation was really well written. Like all Warmai novels the ending is rushed and unsatisfying, but it makes up for it by having a very unique power system and good character writing(Note: characters can occassionally seem 2d but thats only bc Warmai loves killing off side characters)
'Tell, don’t show'—random NPCs dump lore. MC trains by falling off trees, Brittle sword-main weakness, becomes strongest in one chapter.
the epitome of the quest for strengt a descent in depression apathy and madness the fight are cinema the charactere are well written and smart this book will hurt your feeling
What the actual f*ck did I just read? Straight to fucking hell with this s*it. This novel is a goddamn mindfuck; I feel like my brain’s been brutally raped. For the first time in my life, I genuinely wanted the fucking main character to drop dead. This s*it ain’t for the weak or soft-hearted — it’ll chew you up and spit you out. I need a fucking soul detox after this.
I don’t usually give a d*mn about romance, BUT FUCKING HELL — this story needed it. A single ounce of warmth, of basic human connection, would've made a difference. The MC is mentally wrecked — totally, irreversibly fucked in the head.
And if you're the type to grow attached to side characters like me, buckle the f*ck up. They all fucking die, and most of them die by his own goddamn hands. This novel doesn’t just kill its characters — it murders you too, from the inside out. Merciless. Fucking brutal.
