Mu Yucheng heard Xu Xiang calling his name intimately and raised his eyes to look at Xu Xiang coldly. Looking at her pale face, he frowned slightly as his head began to hurt again.

After a moment of silence, she said softly: "I don’t know why you think I am Young Master Xiao’s concubine. But among all the people present here, you should know me best. How can you ask me this question? How can you doubt me like this?"

When Mu Yucheng saw the hurt expression on her pale face and the blood dripping from her fingertips and chin, his heart felt as if someone was gouging it out with a dull knife. He gasped and subconsciously took a step towards her, trying to wipe the hurt expression off her face and check her wounds. At this moment, he wanted to bear the wounds on her behalf.
