Chapter 142: Come Out From The Secret Passage

Xu Xiang took the reconnaissance device from Mu Yucheng, and handed over a torch into his empty hand. He looked at the torch for a moment and said, "I don’t need this."

Hearing his words, Xu Xiang raised her eyebrows and looked at him. Mu Yucheng glanced at her, and said, "I can see clearly even in the dark."

She remembered how powerful he is, nodded and said, "I see. Then give it to me. I will give it to someone else."

He handed the torch to her, then she handed the torch to a woman from the Yishi tribe who was standing not far away from the entrance of the secret passage. The woman looked at the torch in her hand in surprise and said, "Thank you."

Xu Xiang smiled slightly at her and said, "You are welcome."

After everyone was ready, she took the torch and walked into the dark secret passage with Mu Yucheng walking beside her. Behind her, A Lu Ge supported his father, and followed closely behind Xu Xiang and Mu Yucheng. Since a single torch can illuminate a distance of about ten meters, not everyone needs to carry a torch with them.

They walked into the secret passage slowly, while following Xu Xiang’s instructions from time to time. With the map and traps clearly displayed on the screen of the reconnaissance device, they walked inside the secret passage smoothly.

When the last person had walked past half of the secret passage, Yigu Ertai and the people of the Lang tribe finally arrived at the entrance of the Jia tribe’s village. He looked at the silent village and didn’t see anyone around him. Then he looked at the traces on the ground, and followed the traces without saying a word.

With their chieftain leading the way, the people of the Lang tribe followed closely behind him. Not long after, they came to the entrance of the secret passage. Yigu Ertai jumped off his giant wolf, looked at the traces on the ground, and then at the closed stone door.

When Yigu Ertai raised his hand, a warrior of the Lang tribe went to push open the stone door. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he pushed, the stone door didn’t move at all.

Looking at the unmoved stone door, Yigu Ertai shouted at him angrily: "Useless!"

The warrior lowered his head, not daring to make a sound. Yigu Ertai looked a little annoyed at the warrior, pointed to several warriors and said, "The four of you, go and open the door."

With the addition of four more warriors, the five of them began to push the stone door again. This time, the immobile stone door finally moved slightly. When the stone door had been opened twenty centimeters, it suddenly stuck, moved backwards, and closed the secret passage again.

The five warriors quickly avoided the stone gate. They were quite lucky not to be smashed by the stone gate when it closed with a bang.

Looking at the tightly closed stone door, then at the five warriors that were sweating profusely, Yigu Ertai knew that it was impossible for them to open the secret passage by force. He thought for a while, jumped lightly and sat on his giant wolf, turned around and left. Seeing their chieftain already leave, the others quickly followed with their belongings.

While Yigu Ertai and the people of the Lang tribe were still looking for the way, Xu Xiang finally saw the end of the secret passage. She raised the torch and carefully looked at the closed stone door in front of her. Sure enough, she found a string of symbols on the stone door after a while.

She knelt down and ran her finger across the symbols. After reading the symbols, she stood up and turned to look for A Lu Da to open the closed stone door, but she couldn’t find him.

She looked at A Lu Ge, and asked, "Where is your eldest brother?"

A Lu Ge looked at her and said, "My eldest brother is stationed in the middle of the team. Do you want me to call him?"

Before she could nod her head, Mu Yucheng’s cold and calm voice came from behind her.

"No need to call him." He said while taking a step towards the closed stone door.

When Xu Xiang turned to look at him, his hands were already on the closed stone door, and he pushed in lightly. Seeing him pushing the stone door open with a palm, Xu Xiang swallowed back what she wanted to say.

Mu Yucheng patted the dust off his hands, turned to look at her and said, "It’s open. Let’s go."

Xu Xiang looked at his expressionless face and thought: ’... I’d better not offend him. He looks like a handsome gentleman, but who would have guessed that he was stronger than A Lu Da? He is really a dangerous man.’

Seeing that she didn’t respond, he raised his eyebrows silently. After recovering from her thoughts, Xu Xiang walked out from the secret passage. When she emerged from there, she lowered the torch and blinked a few times to adjust to the bright surroundings.

After a few seconds, she looked around and found a small road ahead. Looking at the soil’s conditions, she knew that this road was often traveled by people. She looked up at the sun’s position and found that it was already past seven in the morning.

She looked at A Lu Ge and said, "Let’s rest here first."

After helping his father to sit on the side of the road, A Lu Ge nodded and took the torch from her and said, "Okay."

Before she went to check the surroundings, she took out the previously prepared food from her space and asked A Lu Da to distribute the food to the people of the Xiuluo tribe. When leaving there, she took out a bag of fried dough sticks that she bought from her original world.

Opening the paper bag, she turned to look at Mu Yucheng and asked, "Do you want to try this?"
