Chapter 130: I Won’t Believe This!

Standing outside Ha Tai’s tent, Xu Xiang and Mu Yucheng looked at each other. After a long silence, Xu Xiang blinked her sore eyes and said, "All right. You can follow me, but don’t ask anything."

Mu Yucheng rolled his eyes at her, but didn’t speak. Seeing him rolling his eyes at her, Xu Xiang suddenly had the urge to beat him up. It’s a pity that she knows that she can’t defeat him now.

’Why do I feel like he’s not as expressionless as when we first met? It’s also weird, I always want to hit him for no reason. This is very strange...’

Xu Xiang scratched her cheek in confusion, then turned and walked towards the entrance of the village, with Mu Yucheng closely following her. What she doesn’t know is that this is just the tip of the iceberg that she would slowly discover in the future.

After walking for a while, the two came to the entrance of the village. Xu Xiang looked around, but didn’t see many people. Afterwards, she came to the burning ’mountain’ not far from the Xiuluo tribe’s campsite.

When she stood in front of the burning corpse, the smell was so bad that ordinary people would throw up on the spot. She glanced at Mu Yucheng who was expressionless, but didn’t see any disgust or discomfort on his face. Raising her eyebrows, she circled around and stood in a hidden place around the burning corpses.

She glanced at him and asked, "Can you close your eyes for a moment? Don’t open your eyes until I tell you to open them."

Mu Yucheng glanced at her for a moment, then obediently closed his eyes. The moment he closed his eyes, Xu Xiang took out the three corpses of Te Mu Lun’s elite guards from the space, and then threw them directly into the raging fire in front of her. Two seconds later, Mu Yucheng suddenly opened his eyes.

Lowering her hands, Xu Xiang glanced at him and said in her heart: ’I knew it. This man won’t listen to me obediently.’

Mu Yucheng glanced at the burning corpses in front of him for a few seconds before looking at her and asked, "Where are the corpses that you want to burn?"

As Xu Xiang walked back to the camp of the Xiuluo tribe calmly, she said, "What corpse? There are no corpses to burn."

He stared at her back for a moment, then looked at the burning corpses thoughtfully. He stood there for a while, and then followed her back to Ha Tai’s tent.

Just when Xu Xiang and others formulated a plan to rescue A Lu Zhi from the Lang tribe, Ma La Ya and Te Mu Lun were facing countless dangers in the ancient underground passage. After escaping from the arrow rain just now, the two leaned on the cold and wet wall while sitting on the ground, panting heavily.

Ma La Ya looked at Te Mu Lun and asked out of breath: "Do you really know the way? Why do you always lead us to fall into the traps?"

Te Mu Lun looked up at her silently. He adjusted his breathing and then spoke with annoyance clear in his tone.

"I said I know the way. I didn’t say I knew every location of the traps. If you don’t believe me, then you can go by yourself. Don’t follow me." After speaking, he closed his eyes.

Choking by his words, Ma La Ya glared at him. After resting for another five minutes, Te Mu Lun opened his eyes, stood up and started walking again. Without any other choices, Ma La Ya bit the bullet and followed him in silence.

The two walked slowly in the dark, using the wall as a guide. They walked for another half an hour without encountering any problems, when suddenly there was a clicking sound in the silent passage.

Click!

As soon as they heard the clicking sound, they felt the ground disappear under their feet. Feeling the lightness, Ma La Ya couldn’t help but shout in fear.

"Ahh!!"

She flung her arms frantically, trying to grab anything that would stop her falling into the darkness below. When she grabbed the corner of Te Mu Lun’s clothes, she instinctively pulled him down with her. But before she realized what she was grabbing, Te Mu Lun already stepped on her stomach and jumped up from there with all his strength.

Kicked in the stomach, her voice echoed in the darkness, and she fell even faster. "Aahh~!!"

Using Ma La Ya’s body as a foothold, Te Mu Lun jumped up from the deep hole and successfully landed on the cold ground. He looked down into the pit and saw Ma La Ya was stabbed to death by countless spikes at the bottom of the pit. He glanced at her corpse coldly, stood up and continued on his way.

Without Ma La Ya as his burden, Te Mu Lun walked faster and avoided the traps smoothly. After a long time, he got out of a hole under a dead old tree, covered with blood seeping out from his countless injuries.

He covered the bright sunlight with the back of his hand, looked up at the blue sky, and laughed like crazy. After laughing for a while, his eyes had adjusted to the surroundings brightness. Lowering his hand, he looked around, and what he saw was quite different from what he imagined.

Standing in the middle of the desert, he couldn’t believe his eyes. No green plants, no clean water, no life at all. He fell to his knees, clutching the loose sand with both hands tightly, as tears streamed down from his eyes before disappearing into the sands.

Clenching his hands tightly as his body trembled, he said in disbelief: "Impossible... I already bet everything, and all I got was this hellish place? No... I won’t believe it!"

He let go of his clenched hands, looked at the loose sand falling from his hands, stood up, and strode forward. The despair and helplessness in his eyes had long since disappeared. All that remains is determination, ambition and the survival instinct.
