Chapter 103: Planning a heist? (2)

Leon now looked at Seraphine standing in front of him. There was a thought in his mind—what if he was able to travel in his dimension freely, as the mountain was still the best location for him to train?

Just as this thought appeared in his mind, his figure vanished in front of Seraphine, making her panic.

She looked around frantically in every direction, but she couldn’t see him despite having no obstacles in her sight.

But after a few seconds, his tall figure materialized right where he had vanished, making her release a sigh of relief, as his sudden disappearance had truly shocked her.

"Where did you go, Leon? Are you trying to pull a prank on your master? Don’t do it—I didn’t like this even a bit," her voice was really serious.

"Seraphine, you don’t have to worry too much. Rather than explaining what happened just now, it would be best to just show you." He could feel that he could do it together with her.

She didn’t understand what he was talking about. She knew he could teleport from one place to another, but disappearing completely from her sight without warning had scared her a bit. Yet it seemed there was more to what happened earlier than just simple teleportation.

Leon held her hand, and with just a thought, both of them disappeared from their spot.

Seraphine’s stomach churned at what Leon did. The feeling wasn’t great, but when she looked around, she was baffled—they were now standing in front of their makeshift house. The same rocky mountain range, the destroyed area, their bed, chair, table... everything was the same. She even touched the table to feel it, making herself believe it wasn’t just some illusion. They were really here now.

They were more than four thousand kilometers away from this place. She was sure he wasn’t capable of teleporting such a long distance—if he was, why would he have carried her for a full thirty minutes before?

"How did you do that?" She asked.

"I don’t know, but I just found out I can teleport anywhere I want in here. I had tried to teleport to the opposite side from where we had gone, but it didn’t work—so it seems I can only teleport freely to places I’ve at least visited once." He paused, building up suspense, with a small smirk on his face.

"Tell me everything, Leon. You didn’t say it all just now, did you? Hmph! That smug look on your face tells me you’ve saved the most important part." She had a playful, annoyed look on her face.

"Haha, okay. It’s just that I have to spend no mana to teleport whenever I’ve visited a place at least once. Not a single drop of mana."

Seraphine, hearing him, was a bit astonished—if not outright shocked. It was a very overpowered ability. It was like a god, in her view. If she considered the fact that in the conscious realm, he couldn’t even be killed here, and now could move anywhere he wanted with just a thought, the only limitation being that he had to have traveled to the place once, still, it was almost absurd.

She knew this ability would be very helpful for moving supplies here, if the need ever arose. With the combination of his inventory and his ultimate teleportation, he was like the fastest courier in the world.

After telling him how useful this ability was going to be if the need arose, she took a seat on the chair and watched him try to experiment with his new power.

Seeing him teleport the bed along with himself—without even touching it—she praised it silently in her mind, giving a few satisfied nods. It would’ve been quite a limitation if he had to physically hold onto people, like he had with her.

Besides, the fact irritated her quite a lot. If he really had to hold hands with different people just to move them, it would not be pleasant.

He even moved hundreds of small rocks beside him. His ability truly seemed limitless in here.

After a while, he got satisfied and came back to her.

"Let’s go back."

She stood from her seat, and now the portal was ready to move into. She wasn’t surprised by how quickly he created the portal in just a few seconds, now, compared to previously, when he would need at least a minute.

He was hundreds of times stronger now—it was only natural for him to do such things.

Coming back to their room, Seraphine quickly left him in a hurry, saying she had to give him something, leaving Leon curiously standing in his spot, wondering what she was going to give him.

Seraphine came back with a big, yellowish-thick paper scroll in her hand. A light smile tugged on her beautiful face. Her amethyst eyes locked onto his. He could see the excitement in them, as if telling him he was going to like whatever was in the scroll, which made him even more curious to know what the scroll contained.

She placed the big scroll on the table. Leon’s eyes locked completely onto the scroll as she slowly opened it up.

It revealed a map. Not just any map. At the bottom, in bold letters, it was written: Kingdom of Shampain. But that wasn’t the surprising part—it was what else was on the map.

Besides the capital city, Hemsburand, and the royal palace, which was marked with a golden circle, there were seven different locations marked with red circles—different castles, the names of various duke houses of the kingdom. And that wasn’t all—there were countless other locations marked on the map.

More than a hundred different places, marked in different colors. There were also various pathways leading to a singular palace. Just from the detail of the map alone, he could tell this thing was definitely not legal.

He couldn’t help but ask her.

"Where did you get this, Master?" Even if she was Commander of Duskmoor, this map had too much detail for someone like her to possess. It looked like something made for planning to take down an entire kingdom.

And this momentary suspicion on a whim was not far from the truth.

Seraphine stood tall with a proud look on her beautiful face as she told him the truth about the map.

"This map was created by me. No one in this lower domain would have such a detailed map of the Kingdom of Champagne—not even the kingdom of shampain itself. It took years to make this map. Haven’t you noticed how short I was on soldiers, being a commander, when you first joined me...?"

After she finished speaking, Leon held his breath for a few moments. In his thoughts, Master doesn’t seem cold, but I knew deep down she was very kind. How could she treat a stranger like me so well when we first met? She never forced me to do anything, despite having the power to do so. She was a woman of principle and respect.

But now he understood—she was even more ruthless than he had imagined, when it came to someone she considered an enemy.

He felt relieved that he didn’t piss her off too much with his bratty behavior when they first met.

"So, Master, you’re telling me—if push came to shove, you would have gone into hiding and started hunting from the lowest to the highest level across their entire kingdom? No direct confrontation—but deadly sneak attacks? Can you imagine being sneak-attacked by one of the strongest people in the whole lower domain? Hehe... You were calling me a villain earlier—how shameless! Look at you, Master—you were even more ruthless than I am."

"My lovely villainess~"
