Chapter 746: Seven hundred forty-four, transfer orders
Luo Shu took the Silver Needle Box, opened it, and took out two long needles, looking toward Prince Philip, "Prince Philip, please take off your glasses and close your eyes, we will begin the treatment right now."
"All right," Philip nodded, taking off the glasses from his face and closing his eyes at the same time.
As Luo Shu’s hands moved, the onlookers hadn’t time to clearly see her actions before the two silver needles had already been inserted into Philip’s temples.
"Oh! That must hurt! Can our Prince Philip endure it?"
"Look! Prince Philip’s face doesn’t show any sign of pain, so it should be painless, right?"
"But those are needles, piercing into the flesh, how could it not hurt?"
"My poor prince, I hope his suffering is not in vain." The crowd discussed, staring intently at Luo Shu’s moves.
Luo Shu gently twirled the needles with her hands, then lifted them, repeating the action several times. Then, pinching the tails of the needles, she slowly twisted them and pulled the silver needles out from Prince Philip’s temples, "Prince Philip, now please slowly open your eyes."
"Is it healed just like that?!"
"Impossible!"
"Is she really a divine doctor, or a fraud?" The ministers showed expressions of shock upon hearing this. They truly could not believe that just by using needles this way for a while, Prince Philip’s stubborn ailment could be cured.
Philip was also incredibly shocked in his heart, but even more so, he was full of anticipation. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting a bit as they adjusted. After a moment, he finally got used to the light in front of him.
Looking up at the chandelier above, though the light was somewhat glaring, he didn’t feel any discomfort, and excitedly said, "Oh! God! My eyes don’t feel pain, I can see the light!"
The surrounding people, upon hearing this, couldn’t believe their eyes and gaped in astonishment.
"Philip, go outside and feel the sunlight," Hillpry said, with a hint of excitement on his face. If Philip’s eyes were truly healed, then he wouldn’t have to worry about choosing a successor anymore.
"Yes, Father!" Philip stood up immediately and walked briskly outside.
The ministers and Hillpry hurriedly followed.
Philip came outside the hall and looked up at the sun in the sky. Gradually, his exceptionally handsome face revealed an excited, delighted, and brilliant smile, "Father! My eyes are healed, completely healed!"
Hillpry happily nodded and looked excitedly at Luo Shu, "My dear divine doctor! You are truly miraculous! On behalf of the Royal Family and citizens of Langxi Country, I thank you! I hope our friendship lasts forever!"
"Your Majesty! That is my wish as well, may our friendship last forever!" Luo Shu smiled, turning her head to exchange a look with Lu Hanmo.
"To have such a miraculous doctor in your nation must mean it is a remarkable country, and I am truly honored! I look forward to the opportunity to visit Yan Country in the future to experience that ancient land," Hillpry said sincerely. Now, he really had developed an interest in the mysterious and ancient Yan Country.
"Good! We look forward to your visit!" Luo Shu smiled. She hadn’t expected this trip to Langxi Country to yield such perfect results.
Prince Philip stepped forward, bowed solemnly to Luo Shu, and gratefully said, "Thank you!" His eyes were healed, and he would never need to wear sunglasses again, all thanks to her, the miraculous doctor from Yan Country.
After being hosted by the Royal Family of Langxi Country at a banquet, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo got ready for the journey back home.
Like on the way there, the two boarded a plane and flew toward Yan Country.
The plane slowly landed, and as the cabin door opened, Lu Hanmo took Luo Shu by the hand and descended from the plane.
As they just stepped out of the cabin, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo were stunned.
In front of them, the tarmac was filled with soldiers, densely packed as far as the eye could see.
"Attention!"
Following Song Jiefang’s loud command, all the soldiers stood up straight in unison.
"Let’s all welcome our heroes, welcome them back to the homeland in glory," Song Jiefang ordered loudly. As he looked at Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, his eyes were filled with respect. They had exceeded his expectations, not only perfectly completed the tasks he assigned but had also achieved additional ones that benefited the nation and people. They were national heroes! They truly deserved this honorable title.
"Applause!" Thunderous applause erupted instantly, shaking the earth.
The soldiers clapped enthusiastically, with respect, admiration, excitement, pride, and joy as they looked at Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo.
Lu Hanmo, holding Luo Shu’s hand, walked slowly down the plane and faced the onlookers, arriving before Song Jiefang.
"Commander!" Lu Hanmo saluted Song Jiefang.
Song Jiefang stretched out his hand and patted Lu Hanmo’s shoulder heartily, "Well done! You really did well! The country and the people will remember you deeply." Ever since they went to Langxi Country, one piece of good news after another had kept his heart in a state of excitement.
"It’s all my wife’s merit; I hardly played a part," Lu Hanmo said. It was Shushu who saved the commander during the trip to Langxi Country and her conditions that led Langxi Country to agree.
"Both of you have merit, Hanmo. Your transfer order has come through. Next Monday, you will be assigned to Jiangcheng Guard District with the rank of Colonel," Song Jiefang smiled. Lu Hanmo’s achievements were more than enough for a squadron leader.
"Yes, sir!" Lu Hanmo responded. He was not surprised by this promotion, though he couldn’t help feeling reluctant to leave this place.
Song Jiefang turned to Luo Shu and pulled out a green booklet from his pocket, handing it to her, "This is the honor the country awards you." Luo Shu was not part of the Guard system, so she could not be publicly condecorated with a title. However, the position listed in this booklet was by no means less than that of Lu Hanmo. This was the national award for everything Luo Shu had done, and she deserved it!
"Thank you!" Luo Shu took the booklet calmly, as if what she had received was just an ordinary booklet. She did not care much for these things.
Song Jiefang looked at Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo like this and admired them even more. This couple indeed wasn’t ordinary!
