Spoiled By the Young Master After Reborn In the 80s
Chapter 741 - 739, Invitation

Chapter 741: 739, Invitation

Luo Shu’s revival of the leader quickly spread throughout Langxi Country.

Countless journalists carrying camera equipment rushed to the scene, all hoping to obtain firsthand news material.

However, the hospital had already been put on lockdown, which greatly disappointed the omnipresent reporters, leaving them no choice but to wait for opportunities outside the hospital entrance.

After Karls reported the matter to the president, the president immediately reported it upwards, and soon even the Royal Family of Langxi Country became aware of the situation.

At this moment, in the enormous conference room of Langxi Country’s royal palace, members of the Royal Family and a delegation of ministers were sitting around discussing the event.

"My respected Majesty, I think we should invite that medical practitioner from Yan Country to come to the palace to treat Prince Philip," suggested one minister.

"No! I disagree with your opinion. If Doctor Silo can’t cure Prince Philip, how could an ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country possibly do so?" another minister immediately countered.

"But that ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country revived that Mr. Gus, and we are all well aware of Mr. Gus’s condition. Even Doctor Silo was at a loss."

"Prince Philip’s situation is different from Mr. Gus’s. Prince Philip is a noble of the Royal Family, with a distinguished identity and bloodline. How can we trust the health of Prince Philip to an ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country?"

"I also agree with Lord Jackmoh’s words."

"Mr. Gus also makes sense, perhaps that ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country really could cure Prince Philip."

"I know about ancient medicine practitioners; their medical skills have absolutely no scientific basis—it’s sorcery. We absolutely cannot let an ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country treat Prince Philip."

"I don’t see it that way. It doesn’t matter whether the other party uses medical skills or sorcery, as long as they can restore Prince Philip’s health, that is the best outcome."

Both sides were steadfast in their arguments, and there was no end to the debate. Neither side had any intention of backing down.

Hillpry, with an elegant smile on his lips, listened to the debate. From time to time, he would raise the red wine glass in his hand and sip a little from it. It wasn’t until the glass was empty that he slowly began to speak, "Perhaps I could invite them to dine."

The debate in the conference room came to an abrupt halt.

All eyes turned to Hillpry in shock and disbelief. What did His Majesty say? He wanted to invite an ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country to dinner? Oh my God! They must have heard wrong!

After Hillpry waited for his personal guard to refill his red wine glass, he raised it and took a sip, "I think I should invite her to dinner. What do you think?"

"My respected Majesty, I think I do not like your suggestion," a minister spoke up, his face full of reluctance.

"Your Majesty! This matter concerns the dignity of our Royal Family and must not be taken lightly. Yan Country is a nation of little strength; let alone that the other party is just an ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country, even Mr. Gus is not qualified to dine with Your Majesty."

All the ministers present nodded in agreement. No one raised an objection this time; His Majesty’s noble status was absolutely inviolable.

"However, I really like this proposal," he said, smiling at everyone. His blue eyes twinkled with a playful and expectant light. He was very much looking forward to meeting that miraculous ancient medicine practitioner from Yan Country.

"Your Majesty! Please do not make such a difficult decision."

"My respected Majesty, please reconsider," urged everyone present, hoping he would change his mind about the unfortunate decision.

Hillpry turned to Lord Mikejay, who was seated to his right, "Lord Mikejay, I leave this in your hands. I await your good news."

"Your Majesty! I hope you will consider withdrawing this unfortunate idea," pleaded Mikejay, his brow furrowed. How could someone from Yan Country have the right to enter here?

Hillpry waved his hand dismissively, "It’s decided!"

In the hospital room, Luo Shu and others were chatting when the door was gently knocked.

Then, Robert and the dean came in, leading a middle-aged man with golden hair.

Mikejay scanned the people in the room, finally resting his gaze on Luo Shu and assessed her with a frown. Though mentally prepared, he was somewhat in disbelief to see Luo Shu’s protruding belly. How could this Yan Country woman possibly be a highly skilled doctor?

Robert approached Luo Shu. As the only one among them who had spoken with Luo Shu before, it naturally fell to him to introduce Mikejay, "Hello, doctor! Allow me to introduce you. This is Lord Mikejay, a cabinet minister of our Langxi Country."

Luo Shu looked at Mikejay and gave him a slight nod in greeting.

"He has come with a very important matter to discuss with you," Robert said, shifting his gaze to Mikejay and stepping back.

Mikejay stepped forward, taking out an invitation letter from his pocket and offering it to Luo Shu, "This is an invitation from our Majesty, which he has asked me to deliver to you. He hopes you can accept his offer to dine with him." This was completely unprecedented. Not to mention that she was from Yan Country.

Luo Shu looked calmly at the invitation in Mikejay’s hand without reaching out to take it, "I’m willing to accept His Majesty’s invitation. However, it is only fitting that your country should provide a satisfactory explanation to Yan Country regarding this incident first."

"Are you saying that you are declining our Majesty’s invitation?" Mikejay asked, managing to keep his composure while feeling a bit shocked inside. Such an honor was something many would dream of, yet she declined.

"I can accept the invitation from His Majesty and indeed feel honored, but only on the condition that the issue is resolved beforehand," stated Luo Shu calmly.

"I shall convey your message to His Majesty," said Mikejay as he put away the invitation. It was her own refusal, so it was no longer his concern.

Upon returning to the palace, Mikejay went directly to Hillpry’s study.

Standing outside the study, Mikejay spoke to a brown-haired elder guarding the door, "Mr. Mars! I would trouble you to inform His Majesty that I have something to report to him."

"Very well, Lord Mikejay," replied Mr. Mars. He turned and gently knocked on the door, entered after hearing Hillpry’s voice, and then came back out shortly after.

"Lord Mikejay! His Majesty invites you to enter," said Mr. Mars.

Mikejay nodded slightly and entered the study.
