Chapter 739: Seven Hundred Thirty-Seven, I believe in her
After parking the car, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, led by Zhang Bing, took the elevator to the VIP area on the twelfth floor of Hegesas Hospital.
This area is dedicated to serving high-profile individuals from Langxi Country—rich and powerful figures with significant national influence. Therefore, everything here, from the medical equipment and facilities to the level of medical teams and Bei Sea Service, is the best and most advanced that the hospital has to offer.
No sooner had they stepped out of the elevator than they were stopped by two bodyguards stationed by the elevator doors.
"Please show your identification!" one of the bodyguards demanded. They were specially dispatched by Langxi Country to protect the leader who had been attacked. Although reluctant, they had received their orders and had to comply.
"They are here to visit the leader. Here are their credentials," Zhang Bing said as he took out the documentation and handed it to the bodyguard who had spoken.
After examining the papers carefully and glancing at the pregnant Luo Shu with disdain, the bodyguard handed the documents back to Zhang Bing, "Go on in!"
Zhang Bing took the documents back and led Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo toward the ward.
Once they arrived in front of the guarded room, Zhang Bing stopped and said to Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, "The leader is inside this ward."
He then turned to the two bodyguards standing guard at the ward, "This is Instructor Lu Hanmo, and his wife."
"Instructor Lu, hello!" Upon hearing this, the two bodyguards immediately straightened up, their eyes filled with admiration for Qin Yushen. They were well aware of Lu Hanmo’s reputation; he was an idol they revered and a pillar of their belief.
Lu Hanmo nodded slightly to the two bodyguards, and after Zhang Bing pushed open the door of the ward, he entered the room with Luo Shu.
In the ward, a middle-aged man lay on the hospital bed with his eyes closed, his body hooked up to an array of life-support tubes.
At that moment, besides the middle-aged man on the bed, there was also a doctor in a white coat, a nurse, and a middle-aged woman who appeared somewhat haggard. She was the wife of the man in the bed and had come from Yan Country specifically to care for him after hearing about his incident.
"Ma’am, this is Instructor Lu Hanmo and his wife," announced Zhang Bing as he led Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo forward to introduce them to Zhu Yuhua.
"Auntie!" Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu greeted Zhu Yuhua. She and Zhu Huizhen were cousins, so naturally, they were familiar with Zhu Yuhua.
"You’re finally here, Luo Shu, please take a look at your uncle-in-law," Zhu Yuhua said excitedly to Luo Shu. She was aware of Luo Shu’s exceptional medical skills and therefore had complete confidence in her.
Upon finding out about her husband’s accident, she had called her cousin, who had already gone out and had been unreachable by her.
"Auntie, please rest assured, I will certainly cure my uncle-in-law," Luo Shu confidently stated. It wouldn’t be too difficult for her to save him, even if he was no longer breathing, let alone if he still had a breath left.
Zhu Yuhua nodded, "I’ll leave it to you!" With Luo Shu’s reassurance, she felt at ease.
Luo Shu smiled and nodded, then stepped towards the hospital bed.
"Who are you? What do you intend to do?" The doctor was surprised when he saw Luo Shu approach the bed and stared at her.
"I am a doctor and need to examine the patient," Luo Shu said in the language of Langxi Country. When she had studied modern medicine in her previous life, she had mostly been abroad and interacted primarily with foreigners. Her language skills were strong, and after spending time with foreign friends, she had learned several languages.
Afterward, when she had been with Hanmo abroad, she often took on the role of interpreter. Naturally, Hanmo was proficient in many languages as well.
Robert sized up Luo Shu and frowned, "That’s not funny at all." This young pregnant woman didn’t look like a doctor to him.
"Of course, I would not joke about such matters," Luo Shu said as she stepped forward, took the patient’s hand, and felt for his pulse.
"My goodness! You aren’t an ancient medicine practitioner, are you?" Robert exclaimed in disbelief when he saw Luo Shu’s actions. He had heard of ancient medicine but was not a believer in it. He refused to believe that sticking a few needles into a patient’s body could do any good.
Luo Shu ignored Robert’s exclamations, withdrew her hand, and took out a bottle of Elixir from her bag. She poured out a Pill and placed it in the patient’s mouth.
"What have you given him?! How can you just administer medication to a patient randomly? Nurse, hurry and remove the Pill from the patient’s mouth," Robert shouted angrily and anxiously. This woman from Yan Country was far too reckless.
Upon hearing this, the nurse quickly stepped forward, intending to remove the Pill from the patient’s mouth.
However, she was blocked by Lu Hanmo, who had, at some point, appeared at Luo Shu’s side.
Feeling the intimidating aura emanating from Lu Hanmo, the nurse stepped back fearfully. Oh my! This man from Yan Country was terrifying!
Seeing that Luo Shu had already prepared the Silver Needle and was starting to disinfect it, Robert turned to Zhu Yuhua in desperation, "Ma’am, I hope you can stop her. If anything goes wrong, our hospital will not be responsible."
Zhu Yuhua did not understand Robert’s words, but she could roughly guess what he was trying to convey from his demeanor.
Zhang Bing promptly translated for Zhu Yuhua.
Understanding the situation, Zhu Yuhua nodded and said to Robert, "I trust her!"
Zhang Bing translated Zhu Yuhua’s words back to Robert.
"Oh, ma’am! I don’t understand why you would choose to believe in these things without scientific basis, especially when your husband’s life is at stake! This is not something to be joked about," Robert pleaded with Zhu Yuhua, hoping to change her mind and prevent Luo Shu’s actions.
"She is our Yan Country’s divine doctor; I believe she can cure my husband," Zhu Yuhua stated earnestly and firmly.
"Ma’am! If you insist on your decision, then I regret to tell you that I will no longer be responsible for your husband’s treatment," Robert said, resorting to a threat when he realized he could not persuade Zhu Yuhua.
