Chapter 655: 653, choice

Lu Hanmo emerged and took out a Luminous Pearl, immediately illuminating the entire cave.

"Lu the War God!" Wang Fei and the others looked at Lu Hanmo in shock. It turned out that neither he nor his wife were ordinary people.

"Let’s heal the injuries first," said Lu Hanmo as he handed a bottle of Elixir for healing to Wang Fei.

He turned his head towards Chen Xiaomeng, whose legs were crushed and bleeding profusely, walked over, squatted down, and took out a vial of diluted Spiritual Spring, pouring it on Chen Xiaomeng’s injured legs.

As the Spiritual Spring flowed over the wounds, they rapidly healed. In no time, they had returned to their original state.

Wang Fei and the others were beyond shocked at this scene. Had they not witnessed it with their own eyes, they would have never believed that such miraculous methods existed in this world. Were they immortals?

"Indeed, not quite," Luo Shu said coldly. If Luo Shan hadn’t left with Song Xiran back then, she would still have treated her as a sister. Even if Luo Shan wanted to live with Luo Jiansen, she would have ensured she had nothing to worry about and could marry the man she loved. But Luo Shan knew the Song Family had ill intentions and still chose to go back with Song Xiran.

If Luo Shan had chosen to tell her when she went to find her at school, to tell her that Song Xiran had asked her to place the Spiritual Gu in her body, then she would have been given another chance. She would have provided an antidote and let her live with Luo Zheng. But Luo Shan did not do so; she still chose betrayal.

That single thread of kinship she had felt for Luo Shan was completely worn away. She was utterly disappointed and thus chose to give up on her. Perhaps she was too heartless, but she truly could not forgive someone who had betrayed her time and again. Her heart wasn’t broad enough to act as if nothing had happened.

Luo Shan was stunned, then burst into laughter, hysteria lacing her voice. She truly hated this! She hated so very much!

Luo Shu coldly watched Luo Shan laughing like a madwoman.

After a long while, Luo Shan finally stopped laughing. Her eyes were bloodshot, flashing a terrifying light, "Let’s settle this today." She turned and walked out of the cave. This time, it would be either her death or Luo Shu’s.

Lu Hanmo stepped forward and took Luo Shu’s hand, exiting the cave with her. He glanced coldly at Luo Shan before looking at Luo Shu, "Be careful!" He very much wanted to intervene and deal with Luo Shan himself for Shushu, but he knew that she would not want him to interfere. Luo Shan was just a Cultivator at the Late Stage of Foundation Establishment, not difficult to deal with. Otherwise, even if Shushu did not want him to interfere, he would not have agreed.

Luo Shu stepped forward, looking indifferently at Luo Shan, "Begin!"

Luo Shan waved her hand and a long sword appeared in her grasp. She charged at Luo Shu with the sword, her gaze filled with bloodthirsty intent to kill and intense hatred. She had to kill Luo Shu to completely release the hatred in her heart.

The long sword, carrying fierce killing intent and powerful momentum, slashed towards Luo Shu.

Wang Fei and the others felt their wounds had healed and were no longer in pain. They quickly got up and rushed out of the cave.

They just saw Luo Shan’s sword slashing at Luo Shu, and their faces instantly turned pale with fright, "Luo Shu!" They did not know if Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo were a match for Luo Shan, but they really did not want Luo Shu to be harmed in the slightest.

They wanted to rush forward but were stopped by an invisible barrier.

With a wave of her hand, Luo Shu sent Luo Shan and her sword flying outwards, crashing heavily onto the ground.

Luo Shan lay on the ground, emotions of unwillingness and anger churning within her. She got up and charged at Luo Shu once again. It turned out her cultivation truly wasn’t a match for Luo Shu’s, but what of it? She had no way out now. Today she didn’t want to let Luo Shu go, and neither did Luo Shu wish to spare her. Since death was the inevitable conclusion, she was going to fight to the bitter end.

But before she could reach Luo Shu, she was again sent flying with a slap.

Luo Shan got up once more and, sword in hand, charged at Luo Shu. She had made up her mind, as long as she wasn’t dead, she would fight Luo Shu to the end.

By the time Luo Shan charged at Luo Shu for the third time, Luo Shu stopped holding back. She conjured a long sword and thrust it straight into Luo Shan’s heart. It was all over!

Luo Shan’s eyes widened in an instant. She slowly looked down at the long sword piercing her chest and let out a bitter laugh, "Sister... I really wish I could go back to the beginning... I wish..."

Lighthearted laughter filled the fields as two equally skinny girls were busy planting seedlings.

"Sister, there’s a loach, quick, catch it!"

"Got it! It’s so slippery, come help, hahaha..."

"Here I come! Finally caught it, sister, we have meat for dinner tonight, hahaha."

The laughter gradually faded, and Luo Shan slowly closed her eyes, slowly falling to the ground. If she could, she would give anything to go back to those days. Although it was hard, they were all so happy...

Looking at Luo Shan, who lay breathless on the ground, Luo Shu’s heart ached. She gave a mocking laugh and closed her eyes. She had already killed her; what else was there to mourn? She asked herself, if Luo Shan had chosen to flee instead of drawing her sword, would she have let her go? The answer was yes! That’s why she had given Luo Shan three chances. But she had chosen to give them up.

Lu Hanmo walked over and took Luo Shu in his arms, gently patting her back, "Don’t be sad! The babies and I will always be with you." He glanced at Luo Shan on the ground and sighed softly. He remembered how pure she had been when he first met her, as innocent as a little white rabbit that could startle at the slightest carelessness.

Luo Shu steadied her emotions and opened her eyes, "I’m fine now!"

Stepping out of Lu Hanmo’s embrace, she looked again at Luo Shan on the ground, "Hanmo, help me bury her."

"Okay!" Lu Hanmo took out some tools, looked around, and chose a spot to start digging.

"Luo Shu, you and..." Wang Fei thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with the appropriate words.

"We are True Cultivators," Luo Shu said, looking at everyone. As long as they were okay, she was relieved.

"Are you immortals?" Chen Xiaomeng glanced at her leg. If it weren’t for the bloodstains on her trousers, the gut-wrenching pain from before, and the feeling of near-despair, she would have thought it was all just a dream.

Luo Shu shook her head, "When one’s True Cultivation reaches a certain level, it is possible to become an immortal." However, she had no desire to become one. She liked being with her family and friends, enjoying this ordinary yet joyful life.
