Chapter 589: 587, Emergency Task
Upon reaching the training camp’s parade ground, he saw that everyone had already assembled there.
Mo Shaoze sprinted into the ranks, hurrying to the front of his own team.
It wasn’t long before Liu Changhe approached the team with a grave expression. He looked at the crowd and said in a deep voice, "An urgent situation has occurred in Yunchuan County; they need our support. Teams three and seven will be led by Instructor Mo Shaoze."
"Yes!" the crowd responded in unison.
"Depart immediately!" Liu Changhe ordered sternly.
"Yes!" Mo Shaoze replied, quickly jogging to lead the crowd toward the airport.
Several planes were parked on the airport’s tarmac. Mo Shaoze heard footsteps behind him and turned to look. He saw a group of doctors and nurses, clad in white coats, approaching. Clearly, they were the medical team set to join the rescue in Yunchuan County.
Seeing Shen Anning among the medical team, Mo Shaoze’s brow furrowed slightly. The mission was very dangerous, and he truly didn’t want her to go. Odd, why was he so concerned about her?
Shen Anning, noticing that Mo Shaoze was staring at her, glared back at him fiercely. Once this was over, she would definitely settle her score with him.
Mo Shaoze, observing Shen Anning’s expression, let a slight smile play across his lips. As everyone boarded the plane, he stepped up as well. He had been reckless this time. Once he returned, he would definitely make a proper apology to that wild woman. If she demanded he take responsibility, he might even sacrifice a bit.
After leaving the training camp, Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu first went to the Divine Doctor Family, planning to stay for a day or two before visiting other places.
Yang Muxue was reading a book in her room. As her belly grew larger, her movements became increasingly slow. She decided to just stay in the room to read or take walks in the yard and bask in the sunshine.
Suddenly, darkness fell before her eyes as a pair of soft, boneless hands covered them. Then a deliberately lowered voice ensued, "Guess who I am!"
Yang Muxue’s lips curled into a faint smile, "Shushu!"
Luo Shu released Yang Muxue’s eyes and looked at her with a beaming smile.
"You’re this big and still playing such games?" Yang Muxue said with a laugh as she glanced playfully at Luo Shu.
"I was dying of boredom! Now that I’ve finally been let out, of course, I have to let loose a bit," Luo Shu stated as she took a seat next to Yang Muxue, pulling out two bottles of milk from her space, and handed one to Yang Muxue.
"I made this myself, it’s absolutely pure and natural. Give it a try." The last time Hanmo took her out for a stroll, she’d seen a family with a few dairy cows and bought several buckets of milk to take home.
Yang Muxue set down the book in her hand, took the milk Luo Shu offered, and curiously examined the glass bottle, "What is this?" She hadn’t seen a white drink before.
"Milk!" Luo Shu unscrewed the bottle cap, took a sip, and her face showed complete satisfaction.
Yang Muxue’s brows knit together slightly, but seeing Luo Shu enjoying it so much, she too unscrewed the cap and took a small sip. She discovered that the milk didn’t have the fishy taste she had expected; instead, it was a bit sweet, prompting another sip. Hmm! It’s actually quite tasty!
"Do you like drinking it?" Luo Shu looked towards Yang Muxue.
"Mhm." Yang Muxue nodded with a smile.
"Then I’ll give some to Dad later and ask him to put it in space," Luo Shu said. Milk kept in space wouldn’t go bad no matter how long it was stored.
"Okay!" Yang Muxue nodded.
Luo Shu looked at Yang Muxue’s belly. "Carrying such a big belly must be tiring, right?" When she thought that in a few months she would be in the same situation, she couldn’t help but sigh in her heart. When that time came, she would truly have no freedom. But she was also looking forward to it, because she would be able to see what her baby looked like. Would it resemble her more, or would it look more like Hanmo?
"It’s just a bit heavy, the rest is okay." Yang Muxue stroked her belly, her face lit up with a maternal smile, "Qian Yu said that there are two little boys inside, and both of them look a lot like me."
"Can I take a look?" Luo Shu also became somewhat curious.
"Sure!" Yang Muxue nodded.
With permission, Luo Shu immediately released her Divine Sense and probed into Yang Muxue’s belly. She saw two identical little boys inside; one was playing with the umbilical cord, while the other lazily stretched, making two bulges emerge on Yang Muxue’s belly.
"What are they doing?" Yang Muxue reached out to touch the raised areas on her belly, which immediately shrank back, prompting her to let out a light chuckle.
"One is stretching, and the other is playing with his umbilical cord. They are so cute! I really want to hug them," Luo Shu said, gently touching them with her Divine Sense. One of the babies immediately reached out to grab it.
"What a sensitive little guy," Luo Shu noted with a hint of surprise in her eyes. "It seems Dad has really put in a lot of effort. These two little ones are already at the Qi Refining Mid Stage. Their future achievements are bound to be limitless."
"All I wish is for them to grow up safe and carefree," Yang Muxue said longingly as she caressed her belly. The greater the ability, the bigger the responsibilities one has to shoulder.
Luo Shu stretched out her hand and gently laid it on top of Yang Muxue’s, which was on her belly. "You don’t have to worry; your brothers have always been outstanding!" The future brothers would only become even more outstanding. They might have certain responsibilities, but with their abilities, they were surely up to the task.
When Mo Shaoze and his team arrived in the disaster area, they were stunned by the scene in front of them.
The rolling mudslide, like a colossal yellow dragon, roared and surged down from a distant mountaintop, carrying a terrifying momentum.
Thunderous booms echoed, the kind that made people’s ears ache with each sound.
Mo Shaoze snapped back to attention, his face set in seriousness as he looked towards the team members behind him. "Team Seven, start setting up the relief tents. Team Three, follow me for the rescue now."
"Yes!" Everyone responded in unison.
"Move out!" With Mo Shaoze’s command, they ran towards the distance. There had been a disaster in that area just the day before, affecting many survivors. He needed to transport those people over here first. After their careful survey, this was determined to be the safest area.
After running for about half an hour, Mo Shaoze and his team came upon a mountain village. Many survivors were gathered on the open ground outside the village, awaiting rescue. The sight was enough to make anyone’s heart ache.
