Chapter 552: 550, Open Audition (Part 4)
"You’re talking nonsense! I didn’t do it, you’re framing me," Li Li shook her head, looking at everyone with a face filled with rage and unwillingness. She couldn’t believe that her flawlessly designed scheme was seen through just like that.
"Take her away!" Luo Shu was too lazy to waste words with this kind of person.
"No! I didn’t do it, you can’t wrong me like this." Seeing the security personnel approaching her, Li Li was genuinely scared. If they took her away, her life would be ruined. She absolutely couldn’t let them take her away.
With that thought, a resolute expression flashed across her eyes. She saw a pair of scissors on a nearby table, quickly ran to grab them, and at the same time, seized a girl who was closest to her, "Don’t push me, or I’ll kill her," her eyes flickered with madness and chaos. Her only thought now was that she couldn’t be taken away by the security personnel.
It had taken so much effort to get to where she was, and just as she was about to succeed, someone brutally shattered her hopes. How could she bear this?
"Li Li, calm down, we can still resolve this," Luo Luo said in terror, looking at the scissors against her throat. Li Li had lost her reason, and Luo Luo was genuinely afraid she would slit her throat with the scissors.
"Shut up!" Li Li coldly snapped at Luo Luo, her gaze malevolent as she turned to Luo Shu, "I have no grudges with you, why do you want to destroy me? Do you know how hard it was for me to get here?" She couldn’t accept it. She really couldn’t!
Luo Shu’s lips curled into a cold smile, and with a swift move, before anyone could see what was happening, Li Li was already in her hands.
She pushed Li Li towards the security personnel, "Take her away!"
The security personnel snapped to their senses, quickly subdued the struggling Li Li, and dragged her towards the outside.
"It wasn’t me, you’re framing me, I won’t go..."
It took a good while for Luo Luo to come back to her senses. She looked at Luo Shu gratefully, "Thank you!" She had been truly terrified a moment ago, really scared that Li Li would stab her throat with the scissors.
"Get things sorted out here," Luo Shu instructed Luo Qin, who was standing by, before leaving the backstage with everyone else.
"She was always so kind to everyone, I really didn’t expect her to do something like this," Mu Wan shook her head in disbelief, "I wonder if it was also Li Li who cut that girl’s performance costume last time?"
"What can’t such a person do?" Zhang Qi said with a mocking, cold laugh.
"It’s really scary! I’m glad I don’t have someone like that around me, otherwise I might be dead and not even know it," Chen Xiaomeng said with lingering fear. She was always too trusting of others. If she encountered someone like Li Li, she was certain she’d be sold out and still be counting money for the perpetrator.
"Luo Shu, when is the next competition?" Mu Wan looked at Luo Shu and asked. She was confident in her ability to win a championship.
"We’ll see," Luo Shu said somewhat listlessly. This competition’s outcome was already meaningless to her.
Mu Wan let out a disappointed sigh, "A perfectly good competition, all ruined!"
"Your singing is still very good. Come develop with Starlight, and let’s make an album together," Wang Fei grinned at Mu Wan, eyeing her like prey.
"Your gaze really is terrifying, it makes me feel like I’m a piece of meat being watched by you," Mu Wan joked with Wang Fei, laughing. She naturally knew about Starlight; Luo Shu had told her.
"She’s a tricky one, be careful or she might sell you out," Zhang Qi chimed in with a laugh.
Wang Fei stepped forward, laughing as she linked arms with Mu Wan and said to Zhang Qi, "I might sell you, but never Mu Wan. Mu Wan sings so beautifully, she’s bound to become a big star someday, and of course, so will I. You should hurry up and get our autographs now, because they’ll cost you in the future."
"Who is this person? Why is she so shameless?"
"We don’t know her," everyone shook their heads, laughing.
"Wanwan, are you alright?!" He Xiangyu rushed over in a flurry, asking anxiously. She had intended to come to the scene to cheer for her daughter today, but she felt a bit unwell when she got up this morning. Her father and she both urged her to rest well at home, since there was a live broadcast on TV anyway.
Seeing Wanwan go on stage and the whole audience cheering for her, she couldn’t help but shed tears of excitement. Her daughter was truly remarkable! Just as she was mesmerized by Wanwan’s singing, the singing abruptly stopped. When she saw Mu Wan trying to speak on the stage but unable to make a sound, she knew something was wrong. Ignoring her dizziness, she drove straight here.
"Mom! I’m already fine, has your fever gone down?" Mu Wan reached out to touch He Xiangyu’s forehead, finding it still a bit hot.
"What exactly happened? Why did you suddenly lose your voice?" He Xiangyu pulled Mu Wan’s hand down and asked. What concerned her most now was why Wanwan had lost her voice.
Luo Shu took out a pill and handed it to He Xiangyu, "Let’s talk in the resting room." She could see that He Xiangyu wasn’t feeling well.
"Thank you, Luo Shu," He Xiangyu said with a smile, taking it and putting it in her mouth. She absolutely trusted Luo Shu’s medical skills.
Once everyone was in the resting room and seated, Mu Wan began to explain the whole situation to He Xiangyu.
"How could someone be so malicious? It serves them right to be caught!" He Xiangyu felt almost incredulous after hearing the story. That a little girl could harbor such meticulous and venomous thoughts.
"It’s over now, I’ll definitely be careful in the future," Mu Wan said with a smile. This incident had taught her a lesson.
He Xiangyu nodded, then looked at Luo Shu with gratitude, "Luo Shu, we owe you big time for this." The first time she met Luo Shu, she sensed something extraordinary about her. But Luo Shu’s current achievements were still beyond her expectations.
"Aunt He, you’re welcome! Mu Wan is my friend, and it’s what I ought to do," Luo Shu replied with a smile. Mu Wan, and everyone here, they are all her friends. Should anyone dare to harm them, she would never let it go lightly!
After seeing everyone back to Jinchen, Luo Shu set off back to the Northwest.
Just as she reached the families’ area downstairs, she saw several guard’s wives ready to leave the compound, carrying loads.
"Sister-in-Law Lu, you’re back!" Seeing Luo Shu, the guard’s wives greeted her with a smile. The cake business was booming now; they had endless work every day. Besides needing large quantities for sales outlets, various small stores also wanted to stock up. Cakes were a rare find, tasty and affordable, perfect for gifts, and very popular among the common folk!
