"I’ll go with you," Luo Shu said with a smile, looping her arm through Zhao Aishu’s and walking with her to the kitchen.

"I’ll go too," Meng Yujuan hastily followed.

The rest of the people looked at each other. It seemed they couldn’t offer much help; they might just get in the way if they tried to assist, so they decided to wait and eat instead—something they were good at.

Once in the kitchen, the four of them began to busy themselves.

Meng Yujuan was in charge of washing the vegetables, Luo Shu cut them, and naturally, Aunt Chen and Zhao Aishu took up the cooking.

"Luo Shu, when do you plan to have children?" Zhao Aishu asked as she took the vegetables Luo Shu had chopped and put them into the pot. As a doctor, it was certainly up to her when she wanted to have children.

"I’ll just let nature take its course," Luo Shu said with a smile. She really wanted to have a baby, envious of the sight of a mother with a swollen belly. But she had checked and her body was fine with no problems, so why she wasn’t getting pregnant was also a mystery to her.

"You aren’t using contraception, are you?" Zhao Aishu asked in disbelief. It had been over half a year since Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo got married, so there should have been some news by now.

Luo Shu shook her head with a smile, "We’ll just let nature take its course."

"You’re a doctor, these little gynecological issues shouldn’t be a problem for you. I’m waiting for your good news," Zhao Aishu said with a laugh. She had absolute faith in Luo Shu’s medical skills. She had been able to heal her leg; what else could possibly stump her?

"Luo Shu, you should step up the efforts! I’m looking forward to being an auntie!" Meng Yujuan laughed heartily.

"Yes, that’s right! I’m waiting to be a grandmother. Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo are both so good-looking; their baby will surely be beautiful," Aunt Chen said with a smile as she picked up a plate and started dishing out the food from the pot.

As everyone talked, dish after dish of beautiful, fragrant food had already come out of the wok.

Meng Yujuan and Luo Shu stepped forward and brought all the prepared dishes to the living room.

"It’s time to eat!" Having brought all the dishes to the table, Luo Shu called out to the people in the living room.

"Coming!" Everyone stood up, went to the yard to wash their hands, and then entered the living room.

"You’ve worked hard. We couldn’t help much, so we can only help eat," Mu Wan said with a smile as she sat down next to Luo Shu.

"Sure!" Everyone laughed and sat down, picking up their chopsticks and starting to eat.

"This food tastes better than what I’ve eaten outside," Chen Xiaomeng said, her mouth full of food, her face showing satisfaction.

"Auntie! Teach me how to cook," Zhang Qi said with a smile.

"Don’t teach her, otherwise the kitchen will be in danger," Liu Mengyao joked with a laugh.

Zhang Qi gave Liu Mengyao a annoyed glance, "You just love to tear me down."

"I think you two are quite a match," Meng Yujuan said teasingly, swallowing the food in her mouth, which made everyone laugh.
