"If I keep hanging around you, I’m afraid dad will throw me out. I’d better not be your third wheel," Luo Shu joked with a laugh. Seeing the anxious look on her father’s face as he watched her mother, she knew he wished he could be by her mother’s side twenty-four hours a day.

"Don’t mind him!" Yang Muxue said with a flushed face, unable to suppress a sweet smile at the corners of her mouth.

"What bad things are you saying about me?" Luo Qianyu’s voice came from nearby.

Luo Shu and Yang Muxue turned their heads to see Luo Qianyu and Lu Hanmo walking towards them.

Smiling, Luo Shu walked over to Lu Hanmo’s side, took his hand, and said to Luo Qianyu and Yang Muxue as they walked away, "We won’t disturb you two."

Once Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo were out of earshot, Yang Muxue reached out and pinched Luo Qianyu’s waist.

"Ouch! That hurts, let go!" Luo Qianyu deliberately grimaced and shouted.

Yang Muxue glared at Luo Qianyu with feigned annoyance, "Why would you ask Shushu that kind of question?"

"What’s the big deal? Shushu is no child," Luo Qianyu said with an unconcerned smile.

"You’re not allowed to ask that again. You might have no shame, but I still do," Yang Muxue warned Luo Qianyu with a stare.

Luo Qianyu laughed and pulled Yang Muxue into his embrace, "As you command, my dear wife!" He had asked Shushu about the customs of the modern world and thought that addressing each other as husband and wife was actually quite nice.

After staying a few days with the Divine Doctor Family, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo finally left. They were now back on Yuan Star, ready to visit the Divine Doctor Family anytime. Besides, Lu Hanmo’s holiday was almost over, so they planned to spend the remaining days with the Lu family.

When Luo Zheng heard that Luo Shu had come to see him, he hastened toward the office where she was.

Luo Shu nodded with a smile and waited for Luo Zheng to sit down before asking, "Are you getting used to things here?" Luo Zheng had grown taller and more robust, and his strength had gone up a notch.

Luo Zheng nodded with a smile, "I’m doing great here! Big sister, where did you and brother-in-law go recently?" He had been so out of sorts for days upon hearing they had disappeared that he couldn’t focus during training, and the instructor had punished him several times.

"We ended up on a deserted island and had to wait a long time before a passing ship found us. Sorry for worrying you," Luo Shu said. This was the story she told everyone.

"As long as you’re okay, big sister!" Luo Zheng said with a smile.

"Here, this is for you! Don’t ever shortchange yourself out there," Luo Shu said, handing Luo Zheng a stack of money.

Luo Zheng quickly shook his head and pushed the money back, "Big sister, I already have enough money." He hardly ever had the chance to spend money here.

"Are you treating me as your big sister?" Luo Shu said sternly, looking at Luo Zheng. As his older sister, she naturally should take good care of him. Even if she couldn’t take care of him in other aspects, she at least had to ensure he lacked for nothing.

"Okay!" Luo Zheng took the money.

Luo Shu pointed to a bag of clothes on the ground, "And these clothes are from me and your brother-in-law. If you need anything, just call us. You have Hanmo’s phone number for the Guard District, right?"

"I do, thank you, big sister!" Luo Zheng said, looking at Luo Shu. More than money or material things, he wished their relationship could go back to how it was in the beginning.

Luo Shu stood up, "Then I won’t stay any longer. When you’re on break, you should stay at Jinchen. Aunt Li and the others have been asking about you." "I’ll walk you out!" Luo Zheng stood up to follow.

"No need. I heard you have an assessment coming up soon, good luck!" Luo Shu said with a smile, patting Luo Zheng’s shoulder before turning to leave.

As Luo Shu left, Luo Zheng watched her go, then looked at the bag of clothes on the ground and sighed deeply. He had tried to go back to the way things were, but realized it was impossible to return to those days.

Not long after Luo Shu walked out of the office, a voice suddenly called out to her, "Wait a minute!"

She turned to see the elf-like man she had met in the dormitory when she first brought Luo Zheng to the school, "What is it?"

"I’m Ling Tianyu, and I have something I want to discuss with you," Ling Tianyu said, pointing to a nearby grove to indicate he wanted to talk there.

Luo Shu smiled, her lips curving, and followed Ling Tianyu toward the grove.

In the depths of the grove, Ling Tianyu stopped and turned to Luo Shu, "I know you’re an Ancient Martial Artist, and I want to invite you to join our power."

"Not interested," Luo Shu said with a smile and a shake of her head. Forget the power behind Ling Tianyu—even a True Cultivation Sect wouldn’t interest her.

"The Ling Family can give you everything you want," Ling Tianyu said. The first time he saw her skills, he knew she was a master of ancient martial arts. Such a strong person would definitely benefit his power if he could persuade them to join.

"I’m not going to join your power, so you might as well save your energy," Luo Shu said, glancing at Ling Tianyu before continuing on her way out of the grove.

"I will defeat you, and I’ll make you join the Ling Family for sure!" Ling Tianyu shouted after her, not willing to give up on such a strong potential ally.
