Chapter 468: Four hundred and sixty seven, register

Flying Cloud Plaza was the central square of Tianchi City, and it was also the most prosperous place in Tianchi Country. Here, there was the nation’s largest Martial Arts Arena, commercial center, as well as hotels, shops...

All the sects participating in the competition were arranged to stay at the largest hotel in Flying Cloud Plaza, the Flying Cloud Hotel.

Standing at twenty-two stories tall, the Flying Cloud Hotel had hundreds of rooms on each floor, easily accommodating all the sects.

Due to its low status among the sects, Upper Pavilion was allocated to the bottom floors.

Here, rooms were still shared by two people, and Yi Xueying was once again Luo Shu’s roommate.

"Sister Luo Shu, let’s go out and take a stroll, Flying Cloud Plaza is really bustling," Yi Xueying suggested. She didn’t know Luo Shu’s age and, in the True Cultivation World, seniority was rarely determined by age. Anyone with higher cultivation was considered a senior, even if they were a child.

Luo Shu shook her head with a smile, "I won’t go, you can go ahead." Her Strength had recovered to the Nascent Soul Early-Mid Stage, but that was far from enough for her.

After thinking it over, Yi Xueying said, "Then I’ll go out for a walk. When I come back, I’ll bring you something delicious." She finally understood the gap between herself and Luo Shu; in terms of effort, she could never outdo Luo Shu.

"Okay!" Luo Shu smiled and nodded, then closed her eyes again.

Once Yi Xueying had left the room, Luo Shu raised her hand and set up several Formations in the room before entering her space.

After setting up a Spirit Gathering Array, Luo Shu submerged herself in the Spiritual Spring to cultivate. Although she could cultivate with her mind, it wasn’t as fast as when her whole being entered the space to cultivate.

After spending a Shichen cultivating in the space, Luo Shu checked the time and realized it was almost up, so she exited the space. The speed of her cultivation this time inside the space had more than doubled compared to before. Just a short Shichen, and her Strength had improved once again. She was certain that if she had begun cultivating in physical form within the space from the start, her Strength would have certainly recovered by now.

Not long after Luo Shu left the space, Yi Xueying returned, but her complexion didn’t look good.

"What happened?" Luo Shu asked.

"Those people from other sects are really too much, they deliberately snatched the item I liked, and they insulted me and our Upper Pavilion in public," Yi Xueying said, her tone filled with anger and even more so with grievance.

Luo Shu gently patted Yi Xueying’s hand, "We’ll prove ourselves with our Strength during the competition. This time, our Upper Pavilion will definitely make them take notice."

Yi Xueying nodded, "Sister Luo Shu, you seem even more formidable now. Has your cultivation recovered a bit more?" Though she lacked confidence in her own Strength, she had absolute faith in Luo Shu’s. This time, their Upper Pavilion would stand out because of her.

"Yes!" Luo Shu nodded with a smile.

"That’s great! You’re really amazing!" Yi Xueying exclaimed happily.

The sect competition was scheduled for the following morning at the ninth Shichen, with hundreds of sects partaking.

However, the rules of the competition were different this time: instead of competing in all events simultaneously, it would be one event after another. Sect Disciples could earn points for each competition they participated in, and only those with the highest cumulative scores would have the chance to enter the top one hundred. So, if one only won in a single event, the chances of making it into the top one hundred weren’t great.

Hearing the rules, many disciples who had been confident in themselves felt uneasy. Winning in a single event was no problem for them, but tallying the total scores across all events was a bit more difficult.

The Nascent Soul Elder furrowed his brow and looked at everyone, "To get into the top one hundred this time, it seems we must participate in more than two events. Are you confident?" The disciples selected were all outstanding in their respective events. They could win in their areas of strength because they had invested a great deal of effort and energy into them, which meant they might have neglected other areas.

"I can participate in two events," Mo Lixu was the first to speak up. He had come to the competition to win and was ready to give it his all.

"I can too," Wu Zhiyuan and Xu Bing said in unison.

The Nascent Soul Elder nodded, then turned his expectant gaze towards Luo Shu, who hadn’t yet spoken. Judging by her cultivation, participating in two events would definitely be no problem for her.

Everyone also turned their eyes towards Luo Shu. She was the dark horse of their team. In just ten days, her Strength had already recovered to the Nascent Soul Mid Stage, an incredible feat.

"I should be able to participate in four events," Luo Shu said. She had just considered, aside from Artifact Refining, she had no issues with the other events. She was determined to be in the top one hundred in this competition.

Everyone was dumbfounded! They stared at Luo Shu, their eyes filled with shock and disbelief. Damn! She truly was an unfathomable monster!

The Nascent Soul Elder slowly recovered from his shock, and in his eyes, alongside amazement, was profound joy, "Luo Shu, which events will you participate in?" This time, their Upper Pavilion could truly hold their heads high.

"Except for Artifact Refining, I can do the others," Luo Shu stated.

"Then good! Let’s go register now," the Nascent Soul Elder laughed heartily, grabbed Luo Shu’s arm, and headed to the competition registration desk.

The others were rendered speechless, shook their heads with a smile, and followed along.

The Nascent Soul Elder, holding Luo Shu’s arm, approached the registration desk which was currently empty, stepped forward, and said to the middle-aged Cultivator in charge, "Hello! We are from Upper Pavilion."

The middle-aged Cultivator glanced at the Nascent Soul Elder with a trace of disdain in his eyes, "Which events do you want to register for?" To him, a worthless sect like Upper Pavilion wasn’t even worth greeting; they wouldn’t make it past the preliminaries anyway.

"This disciple here will enter four events, all but Artifact Refining," the Nascent Soul Elder claimed with unabashed pride.

The middle-aged Cultivator was taken aback, a sneer crossed his lips as he looked at Luo Shu, "Name, age, gender, cultivation, sect, tell me everything." To make it through one event would be quite an accomplishment already, but to register for four was simply showing off.

"Luo Shu, nineteen, female, Nascent Soul Late Stage Peak. Due to an injury, my Strength is now at Nascent Soul Mid-Early Stage, my sect is Upper Pavilion," Luo Shu replied.
