Chapter 456: Four hundred and fifty-five, he will not die
"Hanmo, he’s had an accident. His plane lost contact over the Devil’s Sea Triangle half an hour ago," Lu Zhengyang said gravely.
"No! Impossible! He’s a True Cultivator, how could this be possible?" Luo Shu shook her head in disbelief as tears fell with the shaking of her head. She clenched her fists tightly, struggling to suppress her emotions, but her body trembled even more. Before Hanmo departed, he had been in touch with her and told her to wait for him to return. He said he had bought a gift for her, to give her a surprise. He never went back on his word, so why had he done so now?
What would she do if he was gone? How could she live on her own without him? In her past life, he had been safe and sound, so why had something happened to him in this life? No! She refused to believe he was in an accident. He must be trapped somewhere, waiting for her to find him. It had to be so!
With that thought, Luo Shu rushed out of the restroom and hurriedly headed for the dormitory exit. She was determined to find him—even if he was at the ends of the earth, she would find him. If he really was gone, then she would join him. Without him, her life would be utterly boring. Without him, her life would become an empty void. They had already missed each other in the last life; she couldn’t afford to miss him again in this life.
"Luo Shu, where are you going? There’s still four hours before the plane arrives; don’t be hasty!"
"Wait for us, we’ll go with you," everyone rushed out of the dormitory following Luo Shu, only to find that she had already vanished from sight.
Luo Shu summoned her Flying Sword and flew swiftly towards the Devil’s Sea Triangle. She had to find him, she absolutely had to!
The dark blue sea roiled with churning waters, ferocious winds howled, and waves dozens of meters high relentlessly lashed out.
Luo Shu released her Divine Sense, searching tirelessly through the sea. Even as her sea of consciousness throbbed with pain, she never gave up.
After searching for an entire day and night, reaching the limit of her sea of consciousness, she knew she should rest. But another voice inside her insisted that perhaps, just a little longer and she would find him, maybe he was just ahead, waiting for her.
"Master, you should rest now or your Cultivation will be affected," Xiao Qing urgently advised.
"Master, if we keep looking, we will surely find the young master," Xiao Hei also urged. They found it difficult to see their master like this, but no matter how much they pleaded, their master stubbornly persisted in her own view.
Luo Shu’s eyes were bloodshot, covered in web-like red veins, and her face was as pale as a sheet of paper. Her clothes were soaking wet from the seawater, and she could barely move. But she didn’t want to give up, afraid that by doing so, she would lose everything.
Pain! Endless pain, but it still couldn’t compare to the ache in her heart. Hanmo, where in the world are you?
Finally, Luo Shu’s vision darkened, and she fell from midair.
Xiao Qing quickly enveloped her in a space and placed her into the Spiritual Spring for recovery.
As Luo Shu slowly sank into the Spiritual Spring, Xiao Qing and Xiao Hei helplessly shook their heads, unable to comprehend human emotions.
The Divine Doctor Family also quickly received the news of Lu Hanmo’s accident.
"I’m going to find Shushu; she must be heartbroken now," Yang Muxue said as she prepared to rush out. She understood the pain of loss, but she knew he existed, so she hadn’t fallen into despair. But now, her daughter was facing despair. How was she supposed to carry on in this moment?
"I can’t get in touch with Shushu. I called her dormitory, and her roommate said she had already left. She must have gone to the Devil’s Sea Triangle; I’m going to find her," Luo Qianyu said, filled with urgency. He couldn’t let anything happen to Shushu.
"We’ll go with you; we have to bring her back," everyone chimed in. They couldn’t let anything happen to Shushu. They knew she would be grieving without Hanmo, but they would be there for her, to help her through these most difficult of times.
"You all wait at home. Yun Han and I will go," Luo Qianyu said as he saw the eagerness in Yun Han’s eyes. He knew Yun Han would insist on looking for Shushu with him.
"But I can’t ease my mind!" Luo Xiuyi wished he could rush to the Devil’s Sea Triangle right then to bring Shushu back.
"Uncle, we will bring Shushu back safe and sound, don’t worry. We won’t let anything happen to her," Luo Qianyu assured. Shushu was his daughter too; how could he possibly let anything happen to her?
After giving a reassuring look to everyone, Luo Qianyu exited the hall with Yun Han. They summoned their Flying Swords and flew toward the Devil’s Sea Triangle.
Luo Shu’s consciousness flickered back, and thinking of Lu Hanmo, her heart tore once more, the pain so intense that she couldn’t breathe.
She leapt out of the Spiritual Spring and flashed out of the space, resuming her search over the sea. No matter how difficult it was, she would find him, even if it was just his body.
Searching aimlessly, suddenly, Luo Shu sensed something. She looked up only to see dark clouds gathering above, and amidst those clouds, a golden ring of light emitted a powerful suction force.
Luo Shu unleashed her Divine Sense, trying to resist that pulling force, but in the next instant, she gave up. She suddenly very much wanted to see what was inside that ring of light; maybe Hanmo had been sucked in by it.
"Shushu!" Luo Qianyu saw Luo Shu from afar and immediately called out loudly.
Luo Shu turned her head and smiled radiantly at Luo Qianyu and Yun Han. I’m sorry, Dad! I won’t be able to accompany you and Mom anymore, nor will I get to see my brother being born.
Yun Han, thank you! Thank you for all your help, but sadly I only have one heart.
Luo Shu slowly closed her eyes and let the suction force pull her in.
"No!" Yun Han and Luo Qianyu rushed forward.
Yun Han reached Luo Shu first, reaching out to tightly hold her hand, trying to pull her back. However, the suction force was too strong. Not only did he fail to pull Luo Shu back, but he was also swept into it himself.
"Shushu! Yun Han!" By the time Luo Qianyu arrived, the two had already been pulled into the ring of light, and the golden ring itself vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.
"No!" Luo Qianyu howled loudly, but the only answer was the howling sea wind and the thunderous noise of the waves crashing against the sea.
Producing his weapon, Luo Qianyu began attacking the spot where the golden ring had been with all his might, but no matter how he attacked, the ring of light never reappeared.
