Spoiled By the Young Master After Reborn In the 80s -
Chapter 448 - 447, Adis
Chapter 448: 447, Adis
Lu Hanmo stepped forward and discovered that his Divine Sense likewise couldn’t scan through this wooden door, so he released his Spiritual Power and gave it a hard push.
"Creak!" With that sound, the wooden door opened in response.
"Whoosh!" As soon as the wooden door was pushed open, a swarm of black bats flew out from inside and launched an attack on Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu.
Neither of them were afraid of these bats, and with a sweep of the flames Luo Shu released, the bats in front of her disappeared in large numbers.
Stepping through the wooden door, they saw a vast hall within, and in the center of the hall, three golden wooden coffins were neatly arranged.
"Shushu, you really are my lucky star," Lu Hanmo said happily, planting a kiss on Luo Shu’s face. Although he hadn’t opened the coffins yet, he was already certain that what he was looking for should be here.
"I’m glad I could help," Luo Shu said with a happy smile. He would be able to complete his mission and return to his country sooner, and she could also feel at ease earlier. She hadn’t expected that her mere guess would lead them to discover the Vampire Clan here.
"Whoever you are, leave this place now, or I, the Count, shall not be courteous," a chilly voice suddenly rang out, threatening Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo.
"Are you the master of those bats?" Luo Shu inquired. She was naturally not afraid of the other party’s threats.
"What does that have to do with you, leave now!" the voice rose again, colder than before.
"We will not leave without an answer," Lu Hanmo said with a cold voice.
"Insolence! You’re bringing this upon yourselves," the voice bellowed angrily.
Then, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo heard the sound of more wingbeats around them, as countless bats appeared out of nowhere and launched an attack on them.
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo raised their hands to launch fire spells and talismans at the swarm of bats.
In just a moment, the dense flurry of bats around them had completely disappeared, and if it weren’t for the bat carcasses still lying on the ground, it would appear as though the bats had never been there at all.
"Who exactly are you?" the voice asked, mixed with the sound of grinding teeth, clearly showing the extreme anger of the other party.
"First, tell us why you ordered these bats to attack humans," Luo Shu asked.
The other party clenched his teeth tightly and finally let out a sigh, "I’m wounded and need fresh blood for replenishment." If it weren’t for the injury, he wouldn’t have broken the agreement with Country Y.
"So you mean to say you won’t stop this action unless your injuries are healed?" Luo Shu asked with a raised eyebrow. If it weren’t for Lu Hanmo’s involvement, whatever happened to Country Y was of no concern to her.
"That’s right!" the other party said. He didn’t want it to be this way, but if his injuries weren’t healed, he would age rapidly and die soon. It was said that Vampires don’t die, but if their time ran out without advancing, they would still meet death.
"What injury did you sustain?" Lu Hanmo inquired. He too wanted to finish the task at hand quickly and return to his own country.
"I failed my advancement and suffered a severe internal injury. If my injuries aren’t healed by the next full moon, I will die." If he died, their Bruk clan would fall into decline. His son and daughter were still weak and would definitely be killed quickly by other vampire clans.
Vampires are divided into thirteen clans, which are groups of vampires with the same bloodline and characteristics. Among them, clans with similar philosophies have allied to form "factions," and the two main factions are the Secret Alliance and the Banquet of Devils Alliance.
The thirteen clans are:
Secret Alliance: Bruk clan, Ganggelo clan, Mokawei clan, Nofele clan, Tuoreiduo clan, Ruimoer clan, Fan Zhuo clan.
Banquet of Devils Alliance: Lesenba clan, Spirits and Devils Clan, Independent clans, Ashamai clan, Xitai clan, Giovanni clan, Leifuno clan, Clan of Extinction, Kapadokia clan.
The Secret Alliance is currently led by their Bruk clan. If he dies, not only will the Bruk clan’s status within the Secret Alliance be in jeopardy, but they will also quickly be divided up by other groups.
His clanspeople will be killed or become slaves to other groups, which he does not want to see. That is why he launched this operation, hoping that his injuries would heal faster with a fresh supply of blood. However, the current results are not as he had hoped.
Luo Shu thought for a moment, her eyes slyly shifting before she spoke, "If you are willing to be loyal to me, I might be able to heal your injury." The thought of having a vampire as a minion seemed quite impressive.
There was a moment of silence from the other party before he asked uncertainly, "Can you really heal me?" He was not naive, he knew that what he was facing was not just a matter of loyalty but a choice between life and death. If his injuries can be healed, the Bruk clan will continue to prosper. If he dies, the Bruk clan will face the crisis of extinction.
"Of course!" Luo Shu said confidently. She was now a Primary Alchemist of the Earth Rank; as long as one was not dead, she could handle even the most severe injuries.
"Crack, crack, crack!" The wooden coffin in the middle made a series of noises, and then the lid slowly began to slide open.
As the wooden coffin opened fully, a red-haired man sat up from within.
The moment Luo Shu saw the man, she knew he was the same man from the oil painting.
The man walked out of the wooden coffin and came before Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, his purple eyes sweeping over them, "If you can heal my injury, I am willing to pledge my loyalty to you. My name is Adis, and I am the third generation leader of the Vampire Bruk clan." His predecessors had died due to failed promotions.
Luo Shu hooked her lips into a smile. She liked people who knew the way of the world the most.
Her Divine Sense scanned over Adis and found that his body structure was very different from humans; although there was blood in his veins, it didn’t flow, he was like a moving corpse.
She took out a cup of Spiritual Spring Water and handed it to him, "Drink this." Spiritual Spring Water has miraculous effects on most internal injuries. She wondered if it would have the same effect on the Vampire Clan.
Adis looked at Luo Shu with some surprise, took the cup from her hand, "What is this?" He had never heard of water being able to heal internal injuries, but she didn’t seem to be joking with him.
"You’ll know once you drink it, as it will be useful to you," Luo Shu said with a smile. If it did not work, she still had other Healing Medicine on her, she could always try something else.
Adis sipped the Spiritual Spring Water with a mix of skepticism and hope, and then began to wait for a reaction from his body.
One second, two seconds... one minute, two minutes... soon five minutes had passed.
"It doesn’t have any effect?" Luo Shu asked, looking at Adis with surprise.
