Chapter 444: 443, contempt

Feng Tiangu wanted to chase after them, but thinking of the formidable Formation before him, he stopped in his tracks, teeth clenched in anger as he stared at the Divine Doctor Family, "One day, our Feng Family will annihilate you Divine Doctor Family!"

"What do we do now?" Feng Yuexia looked at Feng Tiangu worriedly and asked. All the disciples from other sects had been led away, except for their Feng Family, who couldn’t bring their own disciples back. How were they to explain this when they returned?

Feng Tiangu’s face changed, only then did he realize that he had done something stupid. But Luo Qianyu had already said that they would release the person only when their family head arrived; now, he could only go back and report the truth.

With an uneasy heart, Feng Tiangu returned to the Feng Family and went straight to Feng Zhentian’s study.

"Where are the people?" Feng Zhentian’s sharp gaze was fixed on Feng Tiangu.

"Didn’t... didn’t bring them back," Feng Tiangu said, shrinking his neck in fear. If he had just paid the ransom like the other sects, the people would have been back by now. He regretted it in his heart, but it was already too late for regrets.

"Reason!" Feng Zhentian demanded with a deep voice.

"They asked that you personally go to retrieve them, otherwise, they will kill Tianchi and the others within three days," Feng Tiangu said, trembling with fear.

"Bang!" The desk in front of Feng Zhentian split in half, "This is outrageous!"

"Family head..." Feng Tiangu swallowed nervously, fearfully watching Feng Zhentian. Now, he just wanted to leave the study as quickly as possible, to get far away from the Feng Family, or his end would be very miserable.

"Get out!" Feng Zhentian roared in anger. Right now, he felt an urge to rush to the Divine Doctor Family and slaughter them.

Feng Tiangu hurriedly ran out of the study. He had decided that he needed to run as far away as possible and never let anyone from the Feng Family find him.

"What happened?" Seeing Feng Tiangu come out, Feng Yuexia stepped forward and asked.

"Yuexia, let’s run quickly. Otherwise, if the family head finds out it was our fault that the people weren’t brought back, he will certainly not spare us," Feng Tiangu said, grabbing Feng Yuexia’s hand anxiously.

"It’s your fault, what does it have to do with me?" Feng Yuexia shook off Feng Tiangu’s hand and headed towards Feng Zhentian’s study. She had to clear things up, letting the family head know that this matter had nothing to do with her, and it was all because of Feng Tiangu’s presumptuous actions.

Seeing Feng Yuexia heading to Feng Zhentian’s study, Feng Tiangu’s expression changed, and he quickly reached out to hold back Yuexia, "Where are you going?!"

"To explain to the family head that this matter isn’t that related to me. If you had just paid the ransom generously like the other sects, we would have already brought back the people by now," Feng Yuexia said, also regretting that she should have gone to pay the ransom herself.

"You’re not going!" Feng Tiangu shouted in anger.

"I am going!" Feng Yuexia struggled to pull her hand back, but Feng Tiangu’s grip was too tight, and with her strength weaker than Feng Tiangu’s, she just couldn’t break free.

"If you go, I’ll tell the family head about you secretly skimming off Spirit Stones," Feng Tiangu threatened. If she was going to expose him, he would take her down with him.

"You’re despicable!" Feng Yuexia glared at Feng Tiangu with hatred. She couldn’t believe he was such a person.

"Right now, you either leave with me, or we both go down together," Feng Tiangu said, now desperate to survive at any cost.

Feng Yuexia bit her lip and eventually conceded. If the family head learned of her skimming Spirit Stones, she could well imagine her fate.

Dropping his burst of rage, Feng Zhentian slowly calmed down, "Someone, come here!"

"Family head!" A subordinate quickly entered.

"Go call Feng Tiangu and Feng Yuexia here," Feng Zhentian ordered sternly. He had to get the full story and understand why the Divine Doctor Family specifically wanted him to come.

"Yes!" The subordinate responded and turned to go look for Feng Tiangu and Feng Yuexia.

Soon after, the subordinate hurried back in, "Family head! Miss Yuexia and Young Master Tiangu are not in their rooms, and the guards at the door said they saw them leave the clan."

Feng Zhentian narrowed his eyes, he quickly understood the situation and roared, "Send someone to catch them and bring them back!" It seemed the situation had turned out this way because of Feng Tiangu and Feng Yuexia. Those two were good for nothing but trouble!

The airplane slowly landed at the Yan Country Guard airfield, and with the aircraft door opening, Lu Hanmo, emanating a cold aura, led his people down.

Meticulously uniform, superbly trained!

A blond, blue-eyed Guardian Officer approached with a faint smile and shook hands with the leading Lu Hanmo, "Welcome! I am Colonel Chris."

He glanced over the people following Lu Hanmo, his mouth twisting disdainfully. Of the nations that had come, they were least optimistic about the Guard of Yan Country. The other nations had already caught up with the world, while Yan Country was far behind, even in a semi-closed state.

"I am Lu Hanmo," Lu said with a slight nod, speaking in their language.

Chris looked at Lu Hanmo with some surprise. From Hanmo’s standard pronunciation, it was clear he spoke the language well, "I’ll take you to the Guard base, where we have detailed information about bats and Vampires." He was indeed surprised to see Lu Hanmo’s presence, especially his dignified aura. But his ingrained perception of Yan Country made him choose to ignore it.

Lu Hanmo gave a slight nod and looked at Jess who was following them from the plane, "Are you okay?"

"Mr. Lu, thank you for this time! I’m fine, I really like your country, and I will visit again if I have the chance. I hope to see you again in Yan Country, goodbye!" Jess said with a smile as he bid farewell to Lu Hanmo. All he wanted now was to get home as soon as possible and check on his family.

"Goodbye!" Lu Hanmo said with a smile as he bade Jess farewell.

Followed by Chris, they arrived at the Guard base, where rows of Guard tents had been set up.

"Mr. Lu, this is your tent," Chris pointed to a tent in front of them that was somewhat smaller compared to the others.

Lu Hanmo nodded and stepped into the tent.

The interior of the tent was very simple, with just a row of ground beds and a few small wooden tables.

Chris followed everyone into the tent, pointing to a stack of documents on a table, "These papers are about bats and Vampires. Mr. Lu, take a good look. We have a meeting at three in the afternoon, and I hope Mr. Lu will be on time."

"Okay," Lu Hanmo replied indifferently.

"Then I’ll take my leave!" said Chris, and then he walked out of the tent.
