Chapter 382: Three hundred eighty-one, clue

I don’t know how much time had passed, but the two bodies were rapidly falling when suddenly a "splash!" was heard as both submerged into water.

Luo Shu was quickly embraced by Lu Hanmo. She looked around and realized they had landed in a vast sea.

The sea was boundless, extending as far as the eye could see without discernible end, with deep blue waves constantly churning, giving rise to colossal waves that surged towards them.

Lu Hanmo waved his hand, summoning a Formation Barrier that warded off the assault of the seawater.

"As expected, the teleportation array has many exits," Luo Shu said. The last time it was a forest, and now it was an ocean; who knows where they might end up next if they teleported again?

"This oceanic region is vast," Lu Hanmo said, retracting his Divine Sense. Even with his divine sense extended to the limit, he still couldn’t see the edge of the sea.

Lu Hanmo summoned his Flying Sword, "Let’s fly to land first." They didn’t have the luxury to waste time now.

However, as soon as the Flying Sword was summoned, it fell back down.

"There must be a flying restriction here," Luo Shu said with a wry smile. The last time she was here, Yun Han told her that many places in the True Cultivation World forbid flying.

"If we swim to shore, we’ll definitely be too late. Shushu, you go into my space first; I’ll think of something," Lu Hanmo was now in a state of urgency. They only had three months, and Shushu’s condition definitely couldn’t afford the delay.

"Okay!" Luo Shu nodded with a smile, entering the space.

Once Luo Shu had entered the space, Lu Hanmo looked up at the entrance of the teleportation array above. He wanted to teleport back and then try to teleport once more, but the position of the array was in mid-air, inaccessible without flight, so he had to abandon that thought.

After a moment of thought, Lu Hanmo’s body sank down, and he dived into the seawater.

Spreading his Divine Sense all around, Lu Hanmo quickly spotted a giant sea beast. His eyes lit up, and he quickly swam towards the creature. The teleportation array was only open for two shichen; he had to hurry.

The sea beast, upon noticing Lu Hanmo swimming towards it, paused in surprise before quickly charging at him. The audacity of this tiny human to challenge it was simply asking for death!

"Roar~" The sea beast opened its mouth and spewed a giant water bubble at Lu Hanmo.

Lu Hanmo waved his hand, summoning his Flying Sword, and struck the water bubble with force.

"Boom!" A powerful sword light split the bubble in two, the force parting the central seawater as if opening a new path through the ocean.

Huge waves surged, immediately merging back together, turning the sea surface even more tumultuous.

The sea beast was stunned for a second before scrambling to escape. This human was too strong for it to handle.

But before the sea beast could flee, its tail was already seized by Lu Hanmo.

Then, Lu Hanmo’s voice resonated near its ear, "Help me enter the teleportation array, or I’ll kill you."

"Roar!" The sea beast cried out, indicating its agreement. Even though it was a Spirit Beast, it wasn’t foolish.

Lu Hanmo, satisfied, released the sea beast’s tail and leaped onto its back.

Although the sea beast was reluctant, it still carried Lu Hanmo rapidly out of the sea and towards the direction of the Teleportation Array, swimming swiftly.

Soon, the sea beast brought Lu Hanmo to the whereabouts of the Teleportation Array.

The massive body of the sea beast, like a small mountain, had Lu Hanmo standing on top, only about two or three meters away from the Teleportation Array. With a light leap, he easily entered the Teleportation Array.

As a wave of dizziness and a sense of compression came, by the time he landed again, Lu Hanmo had returned to the canyon he had entered from before.

"Shushu, stay in the space and don’t come out. Wait until we’ve passed through the Teleportation Array before coming out," Lu Hanmo said. He couldn’t bear to let her experience the pain of being teleported again.

"Okay!" Luo Shu showed a touch of happiness on her face. It was so good to have him around!

Lu Hanmo entered the Teleportation Array once more, and when he landed, he found himself amidst a lush forest.

The forest was filled with towering trees that reached the clouds, and even in less dense areas, there was an abundance of shrubbery. However, the Spiritual Energy here was incredibly rich.

Luo Shu emerged from the space and looked around, "This isn’t the place I was at last time either." She wondered just how many exit points that Teleportation Array had.

"I really hope this forest has Nascent Soul Fruit," Lu Hanmo withdrew his Divine Sense and said. Although vast and boundless, this forest was still better than being in the ocean.

Luo Shu nodded, thought for a moment, and took out a communication talisman to contact Xiao Yao, "Brother Xiao Yao, this is Luo Shu. I’m wondering if you know where to find Nascent Soul Fruit?" Xiao Yao, being a person of Lan Star, definitely knew more about this place than they did.

"Have you been affected by the pollen of the Nascent Soul Fruit?" Xiao Yao immediately guessed the reason Luo Shu was searching for the Nascent Soul Fruit.

"Yes," Luo Shu replied.

"Where are you now?" Xiao Yao asked.

"I’m in a forest, different from the last Teleportation Array’s location, I don’t know the exact place," Luo Shu described simply.

After some thought, Xiao Yao said, "Then you must be in the No Return Forest; there’s no Nascent Soul Fruit there. Head east, there’s a Silver Fir City, and a Red Plume Auction House there— they might auction Nascent Soul Fruit. I’ll also look for you from here, and let you know once I have some news."

"Thank you so much, Brother Xiao Yao," Luo Shu said with a smile of gratitude.

"Let’s leave it at that for now; get in touch anytime you need," Xiao Yao said and then cut off the communication.

Luo Shu put away the communication talisman and smiled at Lu Hanmo, "Let’s head east."

"Alright!" Lu Hanmo nodded and took Luo Shu’s hand as they walked towards the east.

They were still on the outskirts of the forest, where they occasionally saw Loose Cultivators of not very high Cultivation searching for lower-level spirit beasts. As they went deeper into the forest, it became rare to encounter other Cultivators, but the levels of the spirit beasts grew higher, indicating that the dangers were increasing.

Luo Shu called out Xiao Qing, who was now a Level Four Mid Stage spirit beast. Its Strength was comparable to a Mid Stage Nascent Soul.

Xiao Qing had a powerful perception of danger, avoiding the dens of powerful spirit beasts each time, sparing them from major battles.

In order to save time, Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo hardly stopped along the way; whenever they encountered spirit beasts, Lu Hanmo would collaborate with Xiao Qing, and they didn’t encounter any particularly dangerous situations. On their journey, they also gathered a good number of Spirit Grass as well as some spirit cores and pelts from spirit beasts.
