Chapter 323: 322, Teleportation Array
Luo Shu absentmindedly finished her meal with her roommates and returned to the dormitory. She was grappling with whether or not to tell Lu Hanmo that she planned to go to the True Cultivation World.
"Luo Shu, what’s wrong with you? Why do you look so preoccupied?" Zhang Qi asked. She noticed that Luo Shu had been like this ever since she returned from the restroom; could something have happened during her outing?
"I have something to do tomorrow, and I need to ask for extended leave," Luo Shu said, looking at everyone.
"Where are you planning to go? How long do you need the leave for?"
"Did something important come up?" The others asked Luo Shu.
Luo Shu smiled and shook her head, "I’m just going somewhere with a friend to take care of some things. I don’t know when I’ll be back. If it’s quick, maybe just half a month at most." She had no concept of the True Cultivation World and did not know whether she would be able to return once she went.
"What place requires such a long leave?"
"Do you need our help?"
"Yeah, if you need anything, just tell us; you don’t have to be polite with us."
Luo Shu shook her head with a smile, "No need, I should be able to handle it. It’s getting late, let’s go to bed."
"Alright then, but if you need anything, just tell us."
"Will do!" Luo Shu nodded with a smile.
Once on her bed, Luo Shu drew her self-made bed curtain, pasted a Talisman on it, and entered the space.
After thinking for a long time, she decided to tell Lu Hanmo about it. She took out the communication talisman and activated it, but after waiting a long time, there was no sign of Lu Hanmo receiving it.
"He’s probably out on a mission again. Never mind, I’ll write him a letter tomorrow." Putting away the communication talisman, Luo Shu closed her eyes and began cultivating.
After requesting the leave, Luo Shu exited the school and went to the place where she had agreed to meet Yun Han.
In the morning, she had told Luo Qianyu about going to the True Cultivation World and asked him to inform their family, so they wouldn’t worry. Originally, Luo Qianyu wanted to go with her, but he feared that the Feng Family would not give up and would cause trouble for the Divine Doctor Family. Although his strength was not formidable, he didn’t feel reassured leaving the family behind during such critical times.
"Is that place far?" Luo Shu asked, looking at Yun Han.
Yun Han nodded with a smile. He was extremely happy inside. Although he knew that nothing could happen between him and Luo Shu, he was satisfied just being able to spend time alone with her.
"Do we take a car there?" Luo Shu inquired.
"First, we go to your place, and when it’s night, we’ll take the Flying Sword," Yun Han said with a laugh. With his current level of Divine Sense, carrying Luo Shu on a Flying Sword would be no issue.
"Flying Sword?" Luo Shu’s eyes lit up instantly. In her past life, she had seen Flying Swords in many fantasy dramas. She had never imagined that Flying Swords really existed.
Yun Han curved his lips in a smile, "You’ll see tonight."
Not far from the two, Song Xiran was sitting in a car, watching them. He put down the camera in his hands and slowly a cold smile curled at his lips. Luo Shu, I wonder if Lu Hanmo would still want you when he finds out you’re entangled with another man?
"Do you have a grudge against that man in the car?" Yun Han asked Luo Shu. With his Divine Sense, he naturally sensed Song Xiran’s presence.
Luo Shu nodded with a smile, "Someday, they’ll get what’s coming to them." If her trip to the True Cultivation World went well, she might make a breakthrough to the Golden Core Stage quickly. By then, she might be able to probe into the Song Family’s secrets.
Nightfall enveloped the earth, silencing everything around.
Yun Han summoned a Flying Sword and started it up, teasingly looking at Luo Shu who was inspecting the Flying Sword with an astonished expression, "Do you want to stand in front of me, or behind me?"
"Definitely behind," Luo Shu said with a laugh, giving Yun Han a sidelong glance. The position in front was too intimate for just friends, which was not appropriate.
"Actually, I’d prefer you to stand in front of me," Yun Han teased, winking at Luo Shu. He really wanted to try the feeling of holding her in his embrace, soaring through the sky together.
"I’m not bothering with you!" Luo Shu gave Yun Han an annoyed glance.
Yun Han laughed heartily, stepped lightly, and leaped onto the Flying Sword, then said to Luo Shu, "Come on up!"
Luo Shu nodded, took a light leap, and landed behind Yun Han.
"If you’re scared, hold onto my clothes tightly. I’m about to speed up," Yun Han said with a smile.
"Okay!" Luo Shu nodded, full of anticipation.
The Flying Sword shot through the sky like a meteor, racing rapidly towards the distance.
Luo Shu reveled in the exhilaration of soaring through the skies, a radiant smile slowly spreading across her face. If she became capable in the future, she would also buy a Flying Sword; the sensation of flying in the sky was truly wonderful.
"Are you scared?" Yun Han asked, turning to look at Luo Shu with a smile. Actually, he already knew the answer. Luo Shu had only tugged at his clothes at the beginning, afterward maintaining a distance. This made his heart sink a little.
"I’m not scared, it feels great," Luo Shu replied, shaking her head with a smile. She loved the sensation of soaring through the sky. Without True Cultivation, she couldn’t imagine that a person could really fly in the sky with just a sword.
The Flying Sword slowly descended, coming to a stop before a canyon.
"That’s the entrance to the True Cultivation World," Yun Han said, pointing to the canyon entrance.
"You’re so familiar with this place, have you been in there before?" Luo Shu surveyed the entrance to the canyon. Apart from some mists, it didn’t seem much different from any other canyon.
"I’ve been inside once," Yun Han nodded. That experience was a close brush with death, fortunately, he made it out. He was well aware of the dangers of the True Cultivation World, which was why he hesitated to tell Luo Shu about it.
"Then let’s go in," Luo Shu said, looking at the canyon before her. Stepping into it meant entering a different world, one she was curious about, anticipative and aspiring toward. That world might be dangerous, but often, danger and opportunity coexisted. If she wanted to become stronger, she had to move forward.
Yun Han extended his hand, "This is a Teleportation Array. If our hands don’t stay joined, we will be sent to different places after we enter. When we go in, you must release your Divine Sense to protect yourself, otherwise, you’ll get hurt." If an ordinary person entered, they would be turned to ash by the Teleportation Array instantly.
"Okay!" Luo Shu placed her hand in Yun Han’s, and together they walked towards that unknown world.
No sooner had they stepped into the canyon than a whirlwind swept them up, followed by waves of dizziness. Soon after, they felt as though they were being compressed, the sensation growing stronger as if to crush them into pieces.
