Chapter 291: Two Hundred Ninety, Encountering Yun Han Again

"I’m at Zhongqing University, and I’ll be starting my sophomore year this semester," Yang Mujing said with a smile.

Luo Shu nodded, "I heard that the library at Zhongqing University has an extensive collection of books. I really want to check it out." She mainly wanted to see if she could find the kind of text that was on the sheepskin scroll.

"When I have time, I can take you there," Yang Mujing smiled. His first impression of Luo Shu was very good, and for some reason, he felt a strong desire to fulfill her wish to visit the library at Zhongqing University.

"Then I’ll thank you in advance," Luo Shu said with a smile.

"Don’t mention it! It’s no big deal," Yang Mujing said with a laugh, waving his hand, "By the way, you’re not from Jinchen, are you?"

Luo Shu nodded, "I came from Cloud City."

"When are you going to school? If I’m free, I can help you move your luggage." He saw that the freshmen arriving at the school all had loads of bags. She was a girl from out of town and definitely unfamiliar with the place. They were neighbors, after all, it was only natural for him to offer his help.

"Thank you! I don’t have much luggage; I can manage it on my own," Luo Shu said smilingly as she declined his offer. Although he was her uncle in her previous life, in this life he wasn’t. So, to avoid unnecessary troubles, it was better for them to maintain some distance.

"Well, if you need any help, just let me know," Yang Mujing said with a smile.

"Mhm!" Luo Shu nodded.

Hearing the phone ringing inside the house, Yang Mujing gave an apologetic smile and turned to head indoors. He wondered if there was some news from his sister.

After sitting for a while, Luo Shu also stood up and returned to her own room. There was just over a week left before school started; it was time for her to start preparing.

Uncle Li and Aunt Li had just finished lunch and were chatting when they heard a knock at the door.

Aunt Li walked forward to open the door and, seeing Luo Shu, a look of surprise and delight appeared on her face, "Luo Shu, what brings you here?" She thought it would be a long while before she saw Luo Shu again.

"Luo Shu is here! Come in and have a seat," Uncle Li also said with a smile as he advanced.

"I came to see how you both were doing!" Luo Shu said with a smile as she entered the house, placing what she was carrying on the table, "Uncle, Aunt, how have you been feeling lately?" In fact, just by looking at them, she already knew the answer.

"Great! Ever since we took the medicine you gave us, our health has really been like what the advertisements boast: strong as a bull and enjoying every meal," Uncle Li joked with a laugh.

"That’s good to hear!" Luo Shu nodded with a smile.

"It’s all thanks to you. Luo Shu, how long will you be staying in Jinchen this time?" Aunt Li said as she poured a cup of boiled water and handed it to Luo Shu.

Luo Shu took the boiled water, "I’m here in Jinchen for school. Except for winter and summer breaks, I will likely be here the rest of the time."

"School? Which university did you get into?" Uncle Li asked in surprise. Luo Shu’s medical skills made him forget her age, not remembering that she was just a young girl in the prime of her youth.

"Jinchen University," Luo Shu said after taking a sip of water.

"That’s incredible! How come you’re so smart? To be admitted to Jinchen University is really outstanding," Aunt Li said excitedly as she gave Luo Shu a thumbs up.

"Yes, Jinchen University is tough to get into. Luo Shu, you’re really amazing!" Uncle Li laughed happily. The couple was genuinely happy for Luo Shu.

"I just had good luck; the content of the exam just happened to be what I had reviewed," Luo Shu modestly said with a smile. Mainly, she had an unfair advantage, without the knowledge from her previous life, getting into Jinchen University would have been impossible.

"Luck is also a form of strength," Uncle Li said with a smile. He, of course, knew that Luo Shu had real talent; her exquisite medical skills alone showed that she held herself to high standards.

After sitting at Uncle Li’s house for a while, Luo Shu excused herself and left.

Walking alone on the street, Luo Shu wanted to see if there was anything she still needed to buy.

The sound of children’s laughter came from not far away. Luo Shu looked up to see several children surrounding a beggar, making a racket.

"Let’s all hit this stinky beggar together."

"We hit him, and he doesn’t even move. Is he stupid or something?"

"Yeah, I threw a stone at him, and he didn’t even dodge."

"No wonder his head is bleeding."

Luo Shu noticed the beggar sitting on the ground seemed familiar. As she approached for a closer look, her face immediately showed a look of shock.

She quickly went forward to chase away the rowdy children who were throwing things at him.

Crouching down beside the beggar, Luo Shu came face to face with him. His face was slightly gaunt, his eyes lifeless. Even as she looked at him, his pupils did not move, and he did not return her gaze.

"Yun Han," Luo Shu softly called out, but the man still didn’t react. They had only been apart for just over a month, so how had he ended up like this?

Touching Yun Han’s pulse, Luo Shu immediately revealed a shocked expression. His body was in disarray, not only were his meridians severely damaged, but his lifeforce was also rapidly fading. What on earth had happened to him?

"Come home with me," Luo Shu said as she pulled Yun Han up from the ground. With curious onlookers on the street watching, she pulled him towards her car. Last time he had saved her and had taken care of her for a whole month. This time, she would also find a way to save him.

Once home, Luo Shu fed a few drops of Spiritual Spring and a Nine-Leaf Lotus Seed to Yun Han.

She then went to the bathroom, started filling the tub with water, and prepared for Yun Han to take a bath.

After doing all this, Luo Shu went out and pulled Yun Han in, pointing to the bathtub which was now full of water, "Can you wash yourself?" With him in this state, he definitely needed a bath.

Yun Han still looked dazed, but his eyes showed a hint more spirit than before. At least when she spoke to him, he would look her way.

Luo Shu watched Yun Han, feeling somewhat at a loss. What to do? It’s not appropriate for her to help him bathe, is it? But without a bath, he can’t stay like this.

Frowning and pondering for a long time, Luo Shu decided to find someone to help.
