Chapter 281: I want to apply to Jinchen University.
As the exam papers were distributed, the examination room became quiet once again.
Perhaps due to the hot weather, everyone handed in their papers at a visibly faster pace than in the morning. No one wanted to stay any longer in this sweltering classroom filled with the smell of sweat.
Luo Shu handed in her paper and walked out of the examination hall, heading towards the campus exit.
"Hey! Please wait a moment!" An urgent shout came from behind her.
Luo Shu didn’t stop walking. After all, with so many people on campus, who knew who was being called.
Footsteps hurriedly approached from behind Luo Shu, and before long, a girl in a green dress caught up with her, blocking Luo Shu’s path, "Please wait a moment."
"Is there something wrong?" Luo Shu asked in surprise, confident she had never seen the person before.
"Aren’t you the Little Divine Doctor? I need your help," the girl said, gasping for breath.
"What sort of help?" Luo Shu asked, slightly frowning.
"There’s someone in our examination hall who has suffered heatstroke; it’s very dangerous, please come with me quickly," the girl said anxiously, grabbing Luo Shu’s hand and pulling her towards the examination hall she had come from. The reason she knew to find Luo Shu here was that she thought Luo Shu looked familiar when she had seen her earlier, and only later did she remember who Luo Shu was. So, as soon as the incident happened, she had rushed over. It was fortunate that Luo Shu had not yet left the campus; otherwise, she would not have been able to find her.
Following the girl to the examination hall she mentioned, they found students crowded around three layers deep, watching the condition of the student who had suffered heatstroke.
"Make way, please! Make way! The doctor is here!" The girl in the green dress hurried forward, pushing through the crowd to let Luo Shu pass.
When the crowd saw the girl and then Luo Shu following behind her, they were slightly surprised. Hadn’t they said a doctor was coming?
Some people recognized Luo Shu and looked at her excitedly.
Walking up, Luo Shu glanced at the girl in the blue dress lying on the ground and said to the surrounding onlookers, "Can everyone please step back to keep the air circulating?" In this kind of weather, even without the crowd, the heat was oppressive.
After hearing Luo Shu’s words, most of the students left the classroom, but a small portion remained in place, unwilling to leave, waiting to see how Luo Shu would treat the girl.
Luo Shu ignored those people, crouched down, and checked the condition of the girl with heatstroke. She then reached out and pressed her fingers onto the girl’s Renzhong and Hegu acupoints.
The onlookers who had left did not go far; they all gathered at the windows to watch the situation inside the examination room.
"Do you know who that girl saving the person is?"
"You know her?"
"How can you not know her? She’s the famous Little Divine Doctor."
"Is she the one who solved the poisoning crisis, the Little Divine Doctor?"
"Why would I lie to you? Take a closer look at her face."
"You know, she does look similar." Half a year had passed, and Luo Shu’s appearance had changed greatly, but the overall contours of her face hadn’t changed much.
"Thud, thud, thud!" A rush of hurried footsteps approached as the teacher who had gone to call the school clinic’s doctor brought them back.
A few people rushed into the examination hall and were somewhat surprised to see Luo Shu pressing on the girl who had suffered from heatstroke.
Just as the teacher was about to ask Luo Shu to make way, the clinic’s doctor stopped him, "The way she’s pressing is very professional; it looks like she knows something about medical science."
Seeing the girl faintly regaining consciousness, Luo Shu retracted her hand, stood up, looked at the doctor behind her, and said, "I’ll leave the rest to you."
After speaking, Luo Shu paid no attention to the astonished looks from everyone and walked towards the outside.
The doctor hurriedly stepped forward and crouched to examine the girl’s condition.
The teacher frowned as he watched Luo Shu’s retreating figure and said unhappily, "What an attitude for a student!"
After the doctor inquired about the heatstroked girl’s condition and saw that she was no longer in serious trouble, he instructed two classmates to help her up and take her to the clinic to rest for a while.
Upon standing up and overhearing what that teacher was muttering, he said, "She’s no ordinary person." He hadn’t recognized Luo Shu at first, but when she spoke to him, he realized who she was. If it weren’t for the patient in front of him, he would have certainly stopped Luo Shu to ask her some questions about medical science. Meeting her wasn’t an everyday opportunity.
"Who is she, then?" The teacher looked at the doctor with curiosity.
"She is none other than the ’Little Divine Doctor’ who saved the people of the whole city." Looking in the direction Luo Shu had left, the doctor’s eyes were full of admiration and respect.
"What?!" The teacher opened his mouth in disbelief.
Under the varied expressions of the onlookers, Luo Shu walked towards the campus exit.
"Luo Shu!" As soon as she walked out of the campus, she saw Zhao Aishu and Lu Hanmo standing not far away, smiling at her.
Luo Shu approached with a smile, "Godmother! What brings you here?"
Zhao Aishu shook the bag holding a lunch box and said, "I’ve brought you some mung bean soup; in such hot weather, it’s easy to get heatstroke, and drinking mung bean soup is the best."
"Thank you, godmother!" Luo Shu said with a smile as she reached out to take the bag.
"How did you find the exam, difficult or not?" Zhao Aishu asked. Since Luo Shu had never attended school, she was always somewhat worried.
"Not very difficult," Luo Shu replied with a smile. Compared to the exams in her previous life, the questions now were truly simple.
"As long as you’re confident. Do you have a university you’re interested in?" Zhao Aishu asked. If Luo Shu didn’t perform well, she would pull some strings to secure a university spot for her. With Old Xu’s influence, that shouldn’t be hard to accomplish. For the sake of her goddaughter Luo Shu, she would bend the rules and take a shortcut.
"I want to try for Jinchen University. Now that Hanmo has been transferred back to Jinchen, I also want to go to school there," Luo Shu shared her plans. She really liked the academic atmosphere of Jinchen University.
"Jinchen University?" Zhao Aishu exclaimed in surprise, her mouth agape. She had thought Luo Shu would choose a university in Cloud City and never expected her aspirations to be so high. Of course, she also hoped Luo Shu would get into a good university, but Luo Shu was quite a special case. Although she was very smart, having never attended school and only looking at exam materials for half a year, it seemed unlikely for her to get accepted into Jinchen University.
Turning her head to look at Lu Hanmo, Zhao Aishu suddenly understood. With the powerful backing of the Lu family, it probably wouldn’t be a big problem for Luo Shu to get into Jinchen University.
Luo Shu exchanged a smile with Lu Hanmo, "Godmother! I will pass, don’t worry!" She could tell by her godmother’s expression what she was thinking. However, she was not the old Luo Shu who had never attended a day of school but rather Luo Shu with two PhD degrees. Such an exam would naturally not be difficult for her.
