Chapter 265: Two hundred sixty-four, evasion
Yang Mujing walked up with a smile, looking at the jacket in Yang Muxue’s hands, "Sis, that jacket looks like it belongs to a man, doesn’t it?"
Yang Muxue’s face turned slightly red as she glared at Yang Mujing, "Why did you suddenly come back?"
"You haven’t got yourself a partner, have you?" Yang Mujing revealed a roguish grin. His sister had always been cold and detached. When had she ever shown such a demure side? She must have someone she liked.
"Don’t change the subject. Answer me," Yang Muxue looked at Yang Mujing, waiting for his response.
"The school is organizing an off-campus activity tomorrow. I came back to get some stuff," Yang Mujing walked over to the couch, sat down, and started drinking from the cup he held.
"Then you should go to sleep early," Yang Muxue nodded and started walking towards the second floor.
"Sis, you haven’t answered me yet. Do you have a partner already?" Yang Mujing put down the cup, looking at Yang Muxue who had reached the stairs.
Yang Muxue paused for a moment, glanced at the clothes in her hand, and continued moving forward, "Don’t talk nonsense."
"Sis, I’m warning you, those people in the Yang family won’t let you decide your own marriage," Yang Mujing said with a hint of mockery. The Yang family always put interests first. His sister’s future marriage would certainly be used by them as a tool for bargaining and gaining benefits.
Yang Muxue looked at the clothes in her hand again, her gaze returning to its usual indifference. Xiao Jing was right. The Yang family had raised her all these years; they couldn’t possibly let their investment go unrewarded. They were merely waiting for an opportunity to trade her away.
Luo Qianyu walked through the door, raised his hand to look at it, and a joyful smile appeared on his face. He had finally succeeded in holding hands with his Xiao Xuexue.
Humming a tune, Luo Qianyu walked towards the bathroom in high spirits. He had now successfully taken the first step. Next, all he had to do was wait for his Xiao Xuexue to fall into the tender trap he had meticulously set.
Luo Shu said goodnight to Lu Hanmo, then hung up the phone.
With the counterfeit factory busted, her factory had returned to its former prosperity, with orders piling up one after another.
The family of the girl who committed suicide over the counterfeit products stopped causing trouble at the factory once they learned from the news that the products were not produced by their company.
Luo Shu picked up the phone again and dialed Luo Qianyu’s number. Whether the Yao Family led the sabotage or the Song Family was behind it, she had to have someone keep an eye on them. She couldn’t afford to be passive anymore.
Luo Qianyu heard the ringing, wiped his hair with a towel as he walked out of the bathroom, and picked up the phone, "Shushu?" Not many knew his phone number.
"Bro, have you heard about the factory?" Luo Shu cut straight to the point.
"I have. I’ve already sent people to watch the Yao and Song Families," Luo Qianyu responded. After learning about the factory incident, he immediately sent people to keep an eye on both the Yao and Song Families. With Lu Hanmo in Cloud City, he wasn’t worried about the Lu family’s territory.
"Do you plan to stay at Jinchen and continue teaching?" Luo Shu asked with a smile.
"Yeah! Trying out a new lifestyle isn’t too bad. Besides, you’ll be coming over after your exams, won’t you?" Luo Qianyu replied with a smile. His revolution had not yet been a success, so naturally, he had to keep working hard. He would make other plans once he had won over his beloved.
"Alright then!" Luo Shu chuckled and shook her head. After chatting with Luo Qianyu for a bit, she put down the phone.
Having quickly freshened up, Luo Shu entered her space and began today’s practice. Strength was now the most important thing for her.
Upon waking up, Luo Qianyu went out to the yard to exercise. What puzzled him, however, was that he did not notice Yang Muxue’s gaze, which usually spied on him. Could it be because of yesterday’s rain? Did she catch a cold?
After exercising for a while and still not seeing Yang Muxue appear, Luo Qianyu ended his workout disappointingly and went inside.
After breakfast, Luo Qianyu arrived at the bus station and scanned the area, but still, he didn’t see that familiar figure. Could she really be sick? Otherwise, according to her personality, she should have been here by now.
Holding on to a sliver of hope, Luo Qianyu stood at the bus station waiting for Yang Muxue to appear, yet even when the bus arrived, the charming figure was nowhere to be seen.
Luo Qianyu sighed softly and stepped onto the bus.
Without the faint scent of her perfume to accompany him, Luo Qianyu felt the journey to school was dull and uninteresting.
Finally reaching school, Luo Qianyu walked into the office, sat down at his desk, and saw a box of pastries placed on it, frowning in irritation.
Zhou Meifang had been observing Luo Qianyu ever since he entered the office, and her heart leaped with joy when she saw his gaze land on the pastries she made.
She put down her Federation language book, looked at Luo Qianyu, and said, "Teacher Luo, I’ve just learned how to make these pastries. I made some for every colleague in the office; try them, and see if they’re good." Of course, she had wanted to make them only for Luo Qianyu, but fearing he would reject her kindness like before, she purposely made a serving for everyone. That way, he would probably accept her gesture, right?
"Thanks, but I don’t eat sweets," Luo Qianyu said, checking the time on his wrist and picking up the textbook from his desk to head outside. He decided that after this class, he would go check on Yang Muxue.
Entering the classroom, Luo Qianyu’s eyes instantly brightened. He saw Yang Muxue sitting quietly in her place, engrossed in a book, exuding a calm and graceful aura. Seeing her complexion, she did not seem ill, so why hadn’t she taken the bus today?
Feeling Luo Qianyu’s scrutinizing gaze, Yang Muxue’s heart tensed slightly. Yesterday, Xiao Jing’s words had awakened her; she realized she had begun to harbor feelings for Luo Qianyu, but she knew she had to suppress this budding affection. Otherwise, not only would Luo Qianyu be harmed, but she would also suffer greatly in the future.
Seeing that Yang Muxue’s attention was solely focused on the book in her hands, Luo Qianyu felt an urge to go over and see what book was so captivating that she didn’t even have a moment to glance at him.
The bell rang for class to begin, and Luo Qianyu diverted his attention, addressing the students who were already seated, "Let’s continue with yesterday’s material, please turn to..."
Ever since Luo Qianyu started teaching the ancient medicine diagnosis course, the students had been incredibly enthusiastic, and even students from other classes would come to attend. As a result, Luo Qianyu’s classes were always packed.
