Chapter 260: Two hundred fifty-nine, meal in the dish.
Luo Shu walked toward Lu Hanmo’s dormitory, and along the way, everyone she encountered greeted her warmly.
The whole training camp was buzzing with the story of Luo Shu’s daring rescue of everyone by venturing into a perilous situation. That’s why everyone at the training camp felt genuine gratitude and admiration toward her from the bottom of their hearts.
As Luo Shu reached the bottom of the dormitory building, she saw Wang Tianji and a group of people standing in two rows, standing up straight and looking at her with respect.
"Salute!" Wang Tianji ordered.
The crowd saluted Luo Zheng in unison, "Thank you, Sister-in-Law, for saving our lives!" This was the second time Luo Shu had saved them, the first being in MD country’s Suicide Forest, and now in Dark Drain. So, in addition to their deep admiration, they were deeply grateful to Luo Shu. Saving a life was as grand a deed as the heavens, and they hoped that one day they would have the opportunity to repay her kindness.
"There’s no need for such formalities!" Luo Shu said, smiling at everyone. She was quite happy that she was able to save them.
"Sister-in-Law! If there’s ever anything I, Li Niuwa, can do for you, just say the word, and I will go through fire and water, doing everything in my power."
"And I, He Bing, am at your command whenever you need me, Sister-in-Law!"
"And me as well..." said the others one after another.
"Thank you for your kind intentions! If you can live well and create a splendid life for yourselves, that will be the greatest repayment for me." At that moment, Luo Shu suddenly felt she was quite remarkable.
When Lu Hanmo returned to the dormitory, Luo Shu was there reading a book.
Seeing Lu Hanmo’s return, Luo Shu put down her book and smiled at him, "You’re back!"
Lu Hanmo smiled, nodded, walked over, and wrapped his arms around Luo Shu, "Chief Liu asked me to thank you."
"Mm!" Luo Shu nodded with a smile, her fingers playfully tracing Lu Hanmo’s handsome and chiseled features, from his attractive sword-like brows, deep eyes, to his high-bridged nose...
Lu Hanmo smiled as he held Luo Shu’s hand, his eyes full of love for her, "Wife, I want to marry you now, what should I do?"
Luo Shu smiled and took a few steps back, playfully sticking out her tongue at Lu Hanmo, "You promised my father personally, so you can’t back out now!"
Lu Hanmo smiled helplessly, "Only now do I realize what a mistake I’ve made. Wife, you’re not allowed to tease me anymore, otherwise, I might turn into a wolf."
Luo Shu cast a coquettish glance at Lu Hanmo.
Lu Hanmo’s lips curved into a mischievous smile as he fondly ruffled Luo Shu’s hair, "Wife, do you want to know what I look like when I turn into a wolf?"
"I can’t be bothered with you!" Luo Shu grumbled as she glanced at Lu Hanmo and, holding his hand, entered the space. She had been waiting here to show him the red crystal stone.
While in Dark Drain, they had been too busy traveling and when they got on the train, there were other people around. So, she had not had the chance to show him the crystal stone until now.
Entering the space, Luo Shu led Lu Hanmo by the hand to where she stored the crystal stones.
The crystal stone was gleaming and translucent, emitting a soul-stirring, entrancing red glow, hinting at a trace of strangeness and strong, mysterious power.
"Xiao Qing said it’s a Fire Cloud Crystal, a kind of Artifact Refining Material, which renders Talismans and Formations ineffective when carried," explained Luo Shu. After Xiao Qing’s explanation, she understood why her Talismans hadn’t worked on those wild people.
"It’s just a pity that neither of us knows how to refine artifacts," said Lu Hanmo with some regret.
"But we could cut a piece of it to carry with us, so we won’t have to fear encountering powerful Array Masters or Talisman Crafting Refiners anymore," Luo Shu suggested with a smile. She had already had this idea while listening to Xiao Qing.
"Mm!" Lu Hanmo agreed with a nod.
Yang Muxue was standing by the window, looking at Luo Qianyu, who was doing push-ups with one hand in the neighboring courtyard. It was only after they returned together that she realized they lived so close to each other.
Every morning, she had a habit of pulling the curtains and sitting by the window to read for a while.
Ever since she learned that Luo Qianyu lived right next door, her gaze unavoidably drifted to the neighbor’s side when she read the next day, wanting to look away but finding her eyes not cooperating.
So although she held a book in her hands every morning, her gaze shifted toward Luo Qianyu. Luckily, he didn’t know she was secretly watching him, or she would definitely die of embarrassment.
Luo Qianyu naturally noticed the gaze from next door, a small smile gracing his lips; this was precisely the effect he wanted, to let her gradually fall for him.
Checking the time, Luo Qianyu went inside, quickly showered, ate some breakfast, and left the house. Yang Muxue’s life was always very regular, with specific times for getting up and leaving for school each day.
Arriving at the bus stop, a familiar silhouette was already waiting there.
Luo Qianyu approached with a slight smile, "What a coincidence, classmate Yang Muxue!"
"Teacher Luo!" Yang Muxue nodded slightly, her cheeks uncontrollably flushing.
"The bus is here, let’s get on," Luo Qianyu said, pretending not to notice the change in Yang Muxue’s expression, but his heart blossomed with joy.
"Mm!" Yang Muxue responded softly.
She had no idea that she had already become the little red riding hood in the thoughts of the big bad wolf before her. Once she fell, she would become his prey.
