Chapter 258: Two hundred fifty-seven, new teacher
The whispers among the crowd finally disturbed Yang Muxue, who was admiring the scenery. She furrowed her brows slightly and withdrew her gaze.
As she turned her head, she met a pair of eyes as gentle and warm as the sun, filled with a smiling expression. Yang Muxue’s heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly shifted her gaze away, flustered.
Luo Qianyu curved her lips slightly. Her reaction was really cute; Luo believed the days ahead interacting with her would be very interesting. How delightful!
The class bell rang at this moment, and everyone quickly took their seats.
Luo Qianyu looked at the students, her lips holding a light and elegant smile, "Hello, everyone! I’m your new teacher Luo Qianyu, and I will be responsible for your class on ancient medicine diagnostics from now on."
"Clap, clap, clap!" A round of enthusiastic applause erupted from below.
Most of the clappers were girls. They were not interested in the dry topic of ancient medicine diagnostics. But now, they had become interested, thinking that even if they couldn’t understand the class, it was a pleasure just to look at Luo Qianyu’s handsome face.
"Thank you for your warm welcome! I am very happy to be your teacher!" Luo Qianyu raised her hand in a calming gesture, waited for everyone to quiet down and then said, "Now, let’s begin our first lesson of the day."
After glancing at Yang Muxue, Luo Qianyu reached for the book on her desk, "Before we start the class, I want to ask a question. Can any student tell me, what are the different categories of pulse diagnosis?"
Immediately, the room fell silent. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to answer; it was just that they usually spent this class in a drowsy state.
With a smile, Luo Qianyu scanned the audience and finally fixed her gaze on Yang Muxue, "This student, please answer."
Yang Muxue stood up, her delicate face composed and cool, "Generally, there are four major types: floating, sinking, slow, and rapid." Her voice was soft and pleasing, with a touch of indifference.
Luo Qianyu smiled in satisfaction, "Very good! Please sit down. Let’s begin today’s lesson now. Everyone, please turn to page twenty-one of your textbook." He liked girls who were different—intelligent and captivating.
As Luo Qianyu began lecturing, the students gradually focused their attention. His voice seemed to carry a certain magnetism, involuntarily drawing them in, making them want to become immersed in it and listen as he continued, ideally without ever stopping.
The bell announced the end of class, and Luo Qianyu closed her book, smiling slightly at the students, "Class is dismissed!"
The crowd let out a sigh of regret. Now, they were looking forward to having the class in ancient medicine diagnostics every day.
Yang Muxue’s gaze followed Luo Qianyu as he walked towards the door, contemplation in her cool eyes. She felt he seemed familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before.
Leaves from the roadside sycamore trees fluttered in the wind; Yang Muxue stood holding her books at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive. Although she had a car at home, she preferred the feeling of taking the bus.
Before long, a white bus stopped in front of Yang Muxue.
She followed the crowd and walked towards the bus door.
At that moment, the bus wasn’t crowded, and Yang Muxue walked to a seat by the window and sat down.
As the bus was about to start, a figure rushed towards it.
The person boarded the bus breathlessly, thanked the driver, bought a ticket, and made his way to the back.
Yang Muxue heard the familiar voice, her heart inexplicably skipped a beat. Her gaze lifted from the book in her hands to the approaching figure. It was Luo Qianyu walking toward her, and she felt a touch of nervousness.
"Student Yang Muxue, what a coincidence. May I sit here?" Luo Qianyu asked with a smile.
"Please do," Yang Muxue replied indifferently, her gaze returning to the book in her hands. Yet, she found she couldn’t concentrate at all.
Luo Qianyu sat down next to Yang Muxue, maintaining a gentlemanly distance. He had gone to great lengths to get close to her, researching everything from her daily routine to her likes and dislikes. He was the kind of person who wouldn’t act unless he was certain.
Although Yang Muxue’s eyes were on her book, her mind was elsewhere. Luo Qianyu’s clear and pleasant scent was affecting her constantly.
"Screech!" Suddenly, the vehicle braked hard.
Yang Muxue’s body lurched uncontrollably forward. Just when she thought she would inevitably hit her head on the seat in front, a gentle hand blocked her, preventing intimate contact between her forehead and the chair.
"Are you okay?" Luo Qianyu’s voice sounded beside her ear.
"I’m fine! Thank you, Teacher!" Yang Muxue shook her head, her cheeks coloring slightly at the thought of the moment that had just passed.
Luo Qianyu smiled nonchalantly.
"Really, you should watch where you’re going!" The driver complained before starting the vehicle again.
Yang Muxue closed her book, turning to look out the window. With Luo Qianyu there, she couldn’t settle down to read. When would he get off the bus?
After that, the ride was smooth.
Neither Luo Qianyu nor Yang Muxue spoke again, but their hearts were not as calm as they appeared on the surface.
The bus slowed to a stop, and Yang Muxue let out a small sigh of relief, standing up to get off. Finally, she could escape his influence.
"Are you getting off here too?" Luo Qianyu asked Yang Muxue in surprise.
"Yes," she nodded slightly. She hadn’t expected Luo Qianyu to get off at the same stop.
"What a coincidence!" Luo Qianyu smiled and looked at the bus that had stopped, "Let’s get off."
"Alright," Yang Muxue replied quietly. Just a little longer, and they should part ways after getting off, she thought.
They both stepped off the bus, and Luo Qianyu smiled at Yang Muxue. "I live in Yuehai Garden. Where do you live?" Yuehai Garden was where the distinguished citizens and merchants of Metal resided, not far from the High Level Guard District.
Yang Muxue was slightly startled, "I live there too." Could it not be such a coincidence? It seemed they would have to walk together a bit longer.
Luo Qianyu couldn’t help but laugh. "Student Yang Muxue, don’t you think we are fated? This is too much of a coincidence." Of course, whether it was a real coincidence or something he had arranged, only he knew.
