"Qingqing, you really are..." Song Yuyan pushed open the door, walked to the bed, and reached out to lift the comforter. She had just received a phone call from her father who had fiercely scolded her because of what Qingqing had done that day. She had intended to teach her daughter a lesson, but seeing her cry so heartbreakingly, she found it hard to remain stern.

"Mom... just let me be alone for a while..." Yao Qing’s choked voice came from under the covers.

"Qingqing, what exactly happened? Tell mom," Song Yuyan asked gently, patting Yao Qing under the comforter. She only knew a rough outline of the day’s events, that her daughter had embarrassed herself at the Bai Family and Qin Family’s wedding banquet, causing the Song Family to lose face as well.

"It was Luo Shu... it must be that bitch... she made me lose face... wu wu..." Thinking back to the moment when she had soiled her pants, Yao Qing felt as if she wanted to die. Brother Yan must have seen it; he must be so disappointed in her.

"What did Luo Shu do?" Song Yuyan asked, frowning.

"Knock knock knock!" There was a gentle knocking at the door.

Luo Shan stepped forward and opened the door, seeing Song Xiran at the doorway, she involuntarily stepped back, "C-cousin!" For some reason, she always felt intimidated by this cousin.

Song Xiran nodded slightly, walked into the room, and sat down in a chair, motioning to the spot beside him, "Have a seat!"

Luo Shan bit her lip, walked forward, and took a seat, though she did not dare sit too close to Song Xiran.

"Are you afraid of me?" Song Xiran asked in a deep voice. Luo Shan and Luo Shu were clearly sisters, yet their personalities were so different; what could have caused this?

"No...not at all..." Luo Shan quickly shook her head.

Song Xiran curved his lips into a mild smile, speaking kindly, "We’re cousins, we’re family, there’s no need for you to be afraid of me." It was people like Luo Shan who truly seemed like they came from the countryside.

"Mhm!" Luo Shan nodded, her hands nervously twisting together.

"Luo Shan, can you tell me about your sister?" Song Xiran smiled as he looked at her. He needed to know her weaknesses to take targeted action. Today, Luo Shu caused him and his Song Family to lose so much face, and he had to reclaim the honor.

Luo Shan nodded and thought for a moment before saying, "My sister has been very kind to me and Xiao Zheng. She took us out of the village and gave us a stable life. "How did your sister learn her medical skills?" Song Xiran asked. This was what he was most concerned about.

Luo Zheng was in his room practicing the Five Animal Frolics when he heard a knock at the door and went to open it.

"Cousin!" Seeing Song Xiran standing at the door, Luo Zheng greeted him with a smile.

"Could we talk for a moment?" Song Xiran asked with a smile.

Luo Zheng nodded slightly and stepped aside to make room.

Song Xiran walked into the room, sat down on a chair, and after Luo Zheng sat down, he said, "I met your sister today. She has come to Jinchen."

"Really? Where is she staying now?" Luo Zheng asked excitedly.

Song Xiran smiled and nodded, "She’s now staying with the Lu family, together with Lu Hanmo. I tried to persuade her for a long time, but she refused to come back no matter what."
