Chapter 201: Two hundred, Pirates

A large ship was docked right in front of their vessel, with more than a dozen fierce-looking men armed with long knives leaping over from that ship.

"If you value your lives, hand over all your valuables!" one of the bald pirates, whose face was covered with pockmarks and who had thick Zhang Fei-esque eyebrows and a face full of flesh, shook his long knife in his hand, threatening everyone. With the New Year fast approaching, if they didn’t rob something now, there wouldn’t be any ships at sea. But why were there only men on this ship? Judging by their build, they looked more like pirates than their own gang. Could it be that they had run into their peers?

"Are you guys trying to rob us?" Mo Shaoze stepped forward, looking at the group of pirates with a mocking smile.

The bald pirate quietly took a step back, swallowed hard, and said with forced bravado, "That was the plan... If it’s inconvenient for you... then never mind..." He was already slipping out of his plans to rob them due to the overwhelming presence of the other party.

"How can you be a pirate with such cowardice? You really lack professional integrity." Mo Shaoze chuckled evilly, and with a flick of his wrist, the long knife in the bald pirate’s hand landed in his own. Then, he saw his hand wielding the knife flit through the air rapidly a few times.

Mo Shaoze stopped moving his hand and threw the knife onto the ground, looking at the bald pirate with a grin, "That look suits you far better!"

At that moment, what were once the bald pirate’s thick Zhang Fei eyebrows were now completely bald, making him shine brightly like a bulb with his bald head.

"Hahaha..."

"Impressive, my instructor!"

"That really suits him perfectly."

"Instructor, you’re too harsh," said Mo Shaoze’s companions who were laughing their heads off at the bald pirate.

Hearing the laughter, the bald pirate shuddered back to his senses. Stretching out his hand, he felt his smooth forehead, and beads of cold sweat began to slide down from there. His legs shook, and he finally fell to his knees with a "thud", "Mercy, great hero! I was blind not to recognize Lan Shan, please spare me..." With such formidable knife skills, the other party was definitely not ordinary. This time, they truly hit an iron plate!

The bald pirate’s followers, feeling a bit scared, swallowed hard and took a few steps back, ready to run at any moment. With their skills, there was no way they could handle a knife like that; this man was surely a tough fighter.

"When you were going to rob us, how come you didn’t think of sparing us?" Mo Shaoze asked, raising an eyebrow at the bald pirate.

"Great hero, as long as you spare us, we’ll do whatever you want," the bald pirate said, now filled with regret.

"Really, anything?" Mo Shaoze asked with a sly curl of his lip, looking almost like the big bad wolf luring Little Red Riding Hood.

The bald pirate had a sudden ominous hunch and shifted backward, "Just... just let us go, great hero..."

"Alright! I think that ship of yours looks pretty good, I’ll take it!" Mo Shaoze glanced at the large ship that was moored alongside theirs.

"But... without our ship, how will we get back?" The bald pirate was close to tears. Taking their ship was like sentencing them to death. In such cold weather, were they expected to jump into the sea?

"Do you think you have the right to choose?" Mo Shaoze looked at the bald pirate teasingly.

The bald pirate turned and exchanged glances with the pirates behind him, quickly spun around, took the large knife from the ground, and lunged toward Mo Shaoze. If he was not willing to give them a way out, they might as well fight to the bitter end.

But before his knife could even touch Mo Shaoze, he had already received a kick in the stomach from Mo Shaoze and was sent flying.

The other pirates attacked Mo Shaoze and the others at the same time the bald pirate did. But with their level of skill, how could they be a match for the group? They were subdued in a matter of seconds.

Mo Shaoze glanced at the pirates subdued by the group, "Tie them all up and we’ll hand them over to the marine law enforcement when we get back."

"Yes!" the crowd responded in unison.

Ropes were quickly found, and the pirates were tied up tightly.

The bald pirate sighed in dejection, looking toward He Bing, who was standing not too far away, "Can I ask you a question?" If he could go back to the moment before, he would rather be blind than see this ship. If they hadn’t spotted this ship, they wouldn’t have ended up like this.

"Ask!" He Bing glanced at the bald pirate and turned his head away with a stifled laugh. He couldn’t help laughing whenever he saw the bald pirate’s bald look. It really was too much like a giant lightbulb.

"Are you guys part of the Guards?" the bald pirate asked tentatively.

"What’s it to you?" He Bing turned around and glared at the bald pirate.

"Of course, it matters. If you’re not Guards, I’ll feel a bit better," the bald pirate said with a mournful face.

"And what if we are?" He Bing asked, raising an eyebrow. He couldn’t quite follow the bald pirate’s train of thought. He was captured anyway; whether they were Guards or not, what did it matter to him?

"Then just give me a knife and let me die!" the bald pirate said, full of regret.

"Why?" He Bing asked surprisingly.

"Who made me so accurate in seeking my own death?" The bald pirate lifted his head, on the verge of tears.

"Congratulations! You’ve hit the jackpot!" He Bing said, barely holding back his laughter.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo emerged from below deck, surprised to see a group of pirates tied up on the deck, "Who are they?"

"Instructor! Sister-in-Law! They’re pirates, they wanted to rob us, but we captured them. Look at that ship behind us, it’s theirs," Yang Zihe, who was in charge of guarding the pirates, said, pointing to the ship tied up at the stern.

Lu Hanmo nodded slightly, "Where’s Mo Shaoze?"

"He’s on that ship," Yang Zihe replied.

As they were speaking, Mo Shaoze came over with a cage in his hand, "Come and see, what kind of snake is this?" He asked, pointing at the cage he was holding.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo turned to look and saw a small snake with blood-red coloring inside the cage.

"You’ve never seen it before, right? Neither have I seen such a strangely colored snake before," Mo Shaoze said, placing the cage on the ground. He had just checked the bald pirate’s ship and found nothing valuable except for this snake. To be pirates and end up like this was indeed a sad state of affairs.
