"You’ll know soon enough," Lu Hanmo said calmly. Li Shun was one of his men, and he had always had high hopes for him. When he found out Li Shun was the man in black who took Zhang Jiao away, he could hardly accept the fact.

"Why are you doing this to him, isn’t he one of your own?" Zhang Xiuer couldn’t help asking out of curiosity. Her identity had already been exposed; whatever they were going to do to her was no longer her decision to make.

"Because his identity is the same as yours, both spies," Mo Shaoze said with a cold laugh.

"What?!" Both Zhang Xiuer and Li Shun looked at each other in shock. How could he/she possibly be a spy?

A burning sensation like fire tore through Li Shun’s body, and he emitted a pained grunt, his body beginning to tremble slightly. Even though he had endured countless harsh trainings, no pain could compare to this.

He clenched his teeth tightly, his body curling in agony, beads of cold sweat quickly soaking his clothes.

As Zhang Xiuer watched Li Shun suffer, her heart filled with worry and fear. She didn’t know if Lu Hanmo would make her take the pill too, and if she did, could she withstand it?

Lu Hanmo watched coldly, his resolute face showing no emotion. Shushu had already informed him about the pill’s effects when she gave it to him. He wondered how Shushu was doing now; he was really worried about her!

In the courtyard lived an elderly couple who were dressed very simply, their clothes full of patches.
