"In that case, I’ll call Hanmo and tell him to bring Luo Shu back for us to see," Zhu Huizhen said with a smile as she walked into the room and picked up the phone to make the call.

"Hello! Please get me Lu Hanmo." Once the call connected, Zhu Huizhen spoke.

"Sorry! The instructor isn’t at the training camp these past two days."

"Not there? Where did he go?" Zhu Huizhen asked with surprise.

"I don’t know that."

"Very well, thank you." Zhu Huizhen hung up the phone and shook her head helplessly, "It seems Hanmo is on a mission again. I should have asked for Luo Shu’s phone number last time."

"Big sister, don’t be anxious! An ugly daughter-in-law is bound to meet her in-laws eventually. Hanmo will definitely bring Luo Shu back for you to see," Ye Shanshan consoled her with a smile.

Zhu Huizhen nodded helplessly, "That’s the only choice I have." Now, her curiosity about Luo Shu was only growing.

The two subordinates were quick to react, splitting left and right and leaping up simultaneously, kicking at the massive tiger’s head and body. This wasn’t their first encounter with a beast; they were experienced and had also significantly improved their strength after these days of intensive training.

Luo Xiuyi reached into his pocket and handed a small wooden box to Luo Shu, "Open it and have a look!"

Luo Shu did as told and opened the box to find a green jade pendant inside, "This is?"

"This was given to me by your mother, and now I’m passing it on to you," Luo Xiuyi said, his eyes lingering on the jade pendant in Luo Shu’s hand with a hint of reminiscence. Back when he knew Yushuang was getting married, he had intended to return the jade pendant to her, but she refused to take it back no matter what. She told him that if he didn’t want it, to just throw it away.

He had felt heartbroken back then and in a fit of anger, he threw the jade pendant away. But after doing so, he regretted it and spent two whole days searching for it until he finally found it again.

He had kept it locked in a cabinet all these years until Shushu showed up and he learned the truth about what happened back then. Since then, he started taking it out and looking at it several times a day, reminiscing about the good times he and Yushuang used to share. If only he could turn back time!

"Dad, you should keep it," Luo Shu said, closing the box and pushing it back toward Luo Xiuyi. She could tell the jade pendant meant a lot to him.

Luo Xiuyi shook his head and pushed the box back to her, "Keep it!" Once he had decided to give it to her, he wouldn’t take it back. Even if he didn’t have the keepsake to look at, he could still cherish the memory. As long as he didn’t forget her in his heart, it was enough!
