Chapter 151: 150, Wu Guzi

"Hmm?" Lu Hanmo lowered his head and smiled as he gazed at Luo Shu.

With a flip of her hand, Luo Shu revealed a white Spirit Stone shimmering with crystalline luster in her palm. "This is a Spirit Stone I found yesterday underneath the construction site. It greatly benefits cultivation, and I’m giving this one to you!"

Lu Hanmo glanced at the Spirit Stone in Luo Shu’s hand and shook his head with a smile, "You keep it." He preferred her to be stronger than himself; only if she was strong could he feel assured about her safety.

Luo Shu grabbed Lu Hanmo’s hand and placed the Spirit Stone in it. "I have more, this one’s for you."

"Spirit Stone!" a surprised voice came from not far away.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo turned their heads to look and saw a disheveled old man with a scruffy beard. After a few flashes, he appeared in front of them, his eyes burning as he stared at the Spirit Stone in Lu Hanmo’s hand.

"Let’s go back," Lu Hanmo said as he pocketed the Spirit Stone and took Luo Shu’s hand, heading toward the training camp. The aura emanating from the old man made it clear he was an Ancient Martial Artist, and a strong one at that.

However, the old man had no intention of letting Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu leave. With a flash, he appeared in front of them, blocking their path, and extended his hand with a chuckle, "You can leave, but give me the Spirit Stone."

"No!" Lu Hanmo flatly refused.

"You have to give it even if you don’t want to. If I want it, it’s mine," the old man said assertively.

Luo Shu gave Lu Hanmo a significant look and then mocked the old man, "Are you planning to rob us violently?"

"You could put it that way. If you’re not willing to give it away, I’ll have to take it by force," the old man replied with a cold smile, his tone full of domineering strength.

"You’re of such an old age, yet you’re robbing from the young. Aren’t you afraid of being laughed at if word gets out?" Luo Shu said with disdain.

The old man snorted arrogantly, "Who dares to laugh at Wu Guzi, I’ll cripple them!"

"So, you’re saying you must have this stone today?" Luo Shu reached into Lu Hanmo’s pocket and took out the Spirit Stone, waving it in front of Wu Guzi.

Wu Guzi’s eyes lit up, and he hastily reached out to snatch it.

Luo Shu, however, threw the stone into a hollow near some mountains first and said with a spread of her hands, "Gone."

"You!" Wu Guzi ground his teeth in frustration, glaring at Luo Shu before turning to chase after the spot where she had thrown the Spirit Stone. A Spirit Stone was an invaluable rarity. Once he found it, he would come back to settle scores with these two disrespectful youths.

"Let’s hurry!" Luo Shu said to Lu Hanmo with a mischievous smile, pulling him along as they ran towards the training camp. She wouldn’t be foolish enough to actually throw away the Spirit Stone; she had already stored it in her space, and what she tossed was merely a pebble she had switched it with.

Wu Guzi searched the hollow for a long time but could not find the Spirit Stone nor sense the slightest trace of Spiritual Energy, which left him jumping with anger.

He wanted to settle things with Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, but the pair had already vanished from sight.

Looking toward the distant training camp, Wu Guzi bit his lip resentfully, swatted his sleeve, and turned to leave, disappearing in the blink of an eye. He knew the young couple must be connected to the training camp, but their sect had rules against intervening in any worldly affairs.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo returned to the training camp and went to Lu Hanmo’s room.

After Lu Hanmo had set up a Shielding Array, Luo Shu took out the Spirit Stone again and handed it to him. "That old man must be furious for not finding the Spirit Stone. I’d love to see him hopping mad."

Lu Hanmo gave a shallow smile and affectionately flicked Luo Shu’s nose. "You really are mischievous." But the more she was like this, the more irresistible he found her.

Luo Shu playfully stuck out her tongue at Lu Hanmo and put the Spirit Stone in his hand. "This Spirit Stone should help you break through to the Mysterious Level Mid-Stage."

Lu Hanmo examined the Spirit Stone in his hand. "Who would have thought this tiny stone could contain such concentrated Spiritual Energy?" Just holding it, he could feel his Inner Qi strengthening as though he was on the verge of a breakthrough. No wonder the old man wanted it.

"My grandfather once said that these Spirit Stones were used by the legendary immortals. It’s still hard for me to believe we actually got one," Luo Shu said with a laugh.

"Are there really immortals in this world?" Lu Hanmo asked in surprise, having thought such tales were merely made up by people.

"I’m not sure either. There are many things in this world we can’t access now. Perhaps when we truly become powerful, we might come into contact with another world, one currently beyond our imagination," Luo Shu said with some anticipation. Initially, she hadn’t believed in the existence of immortals either, but now that she had obtained the Spirit Stone, she wasn’t so
