Lu Hanmo had just returned to his dorm when one of his subordinates came running over to tell him to go to the office to answer a phone call.

The office wasn’t very far from the dorm where Lu Hanmo lived; after a walk of just five or six minutes, he arrived at the office.

He didn’t have to wait long before the phone on the desk began to ring. Lu Hanmo reached out to answer the call, "This is Lu Hanmo."

"Hanmo, it’s Mom. I saw you on the news today, the one about the poisoning incident in Cloud City," Zhu Huizhen’s voice came through, tinged with excitement.

Lu Hanmo curled his lips into a smile, "Mom, you’re not calling me just because of this, are you?"

"Of course not. Hanmo, I actually have a question for you, and you must answer Mom honestly," reasoned Zhu Huizhen with a hint of seriousness in her voice.

Lu Hanmo furrowed his brows slightly, "Go ahead!"

"Hanmo, tell Mom, do you have someone you like?" Zhu Huizhen asked. She had thought for a long time, and this seemed to be the most likely possibility. Only love could change a person.

"Yes!" Lu Hanmo did not deny it. His relationship with Shushu was bound to be known by the family sooner or later. As long as Grandpa agreed, no one else in the family would object. Although Shushu did not have a powerful background, her excellence was something other women couldn’t compare to. At least that’s what he believed in his heart.

"What kind of person is she?" Zhu Huizhen’s voice carried a touch of eagerness and excitement. She had always thought that given her son’s personality, he wouldn’t find a girlfriend so soon. She was surprised that it was much earlier than she had anticipated and was very delighted!

"Oh my! She sounds wonderful! So when are you bringing her home for Mom to see?" Zhu Huizhen teased with a laugh. Her son’s high regard for the girl showed that he was truly smitten this time.

"Sure! You’ll definitely like her when you meet her," Lu Hanmo responded with a smile.

"What’s her name?" asked Zhu Huizhen after some thought.

"Luo Shu," replied Lu Hanmo.

After Zhu Huizhen hung up the phone, she saw Lu Zhengyang coming out of the washroom and happily announced, "Zhengyang, our son has a girlfriend now."

"Is that so?" Lu Zhengyang was somewhat surprised. His cold and aloof son actually had a girl who dared to like him? He was quite impressed with the girl’s courage.

Zhu Huizhen nodded and said with a smile, "Really! Our son even told me her name, the girl is Luo Shu."

"Isn’t that the girl from the news today?" Lu Zhengyang reflected.

"Is that little girl Luo Shu?" Zhu Huizhen thought carefully and said with satisfaction, "That’s pretty good! The girl is beautiful and has a good temperament, but most importantly, our son likes her." She wasn’t very demanding about Hanmo’s partner; as long as the girl wasn’t terrible, it would be fine. Mayor Li thought it over carefully, then nodded with a smile, "Alright! You just need to fill out an application and prepare the documentation, and I’ll submit it for you."

"Thank you, Mayor Li!" Luo Shu said, smiling her thanks.

"Don’t mention it!" Mayor Li shook his head with a smile and glanced at his watch, "It’s almost noon; let’s head over to the Welcome Guest Hotel across the street."

"Sounds good!" Luo Qianyu and Luo Shu nodded with a smile. They naturally wouldn’t reject Mayor Li’s invitation.

The trio went to the Welcome Guest Hotel, where the waitstaff immediately ushered them warmly into a private room.
