Chapter 122: One hundred and twenty-one, meeting

"First, stand up and then we can talk," Luo Shu stretched out her hand to help the middle-aged woman. She found it very strange that no one had come to look for her all morning, but now suddenly so many people had come.

"Little Divine Doctor, a doctor has come to our town. He says that as long as you are willing to help him, he can cure our illnesses. Please, agree to help him," the middle-aged woman pleaded as she looked at Luo Shu. Although she called Luo Shu the Little Divine Doctor, she had never seen Luo Shu treat anyone. However, it seemed she had heard that Old Man Qin’s illness was cured by her.

"Where is he?" Luo Shu’s first reaction was that the person might know her; otherwise, he wouldn’t have specifically asked for her help.

"He is right outside. I will call him." The middle-aged woman said, turning and walking toward the door, "Doctor Luo, Little Divine Doctor is calling you."

As the middle-aged woman’s words fell, a tall figure walked in from outside.

Luo Qianyu’s lips held a hint of an elegant and charming smile, and his handsome features were so perfect they couldn’t be flawed, as if he were a prince who had stepped out of a comic book. Even though he was wearing a simple black coat, it couldn’t hide the noble aura that emanated from him.

Luo Shu stood there, stunned, her eyes gradually reddening, filled with both excitement and disbelief. Daddy!

She had never thought that in this lifetime, she would be able to see her father again. Nor had she imagined that the first time she would meet her father in this lifetime would be under such circumstances.

At first sight of Luo Shu, Luo Qianyu felt an inexplicably familiar warmth, as if he had seen a family member. This feeling was strange, yet so real. But why would he feel this way towards Luo Shu, whom he had clearly just met for the first time?

Moreover, the way Luo Shu looked at him, and the moisture in her eyes, left him somewhat astonished. That definitely wasn’t the look of seeing a stranger; instead, it was as if she and he were relatives who had been separated for a long time and had finally been reunited.

Collecting his thoughts, Luo Qianyu walked forward with a smile, and extended his hand, "Hello! I am Luo Qianyu. I’m glad to meet you!"

"Hello! I am Luo Shu." Luo Shu tried hard to calm her emotions, but her eyes simply couldn’t move away from Luo Qianyu’s face. This was her father! How could she not be excited when she saw him? She really wanted to throw herself into his arms and act coquettishly as she did in the past.

But what was once commonplace for her had now become a luxury. She could only greet him like a stranger and introduce herself by name. Because now, they really were strangers to each other.

"I’ve heard about you from Lu Hanmo," Luo Qianyu said with a smile. Although he didn’t know why Luo Shu looked at him with such eyes, he genuinely felt a good impression of her.

Luo Shu sniffled, trying hard to keep her tears from falling and managed a smile, "No wonder you know about me."

"I’ve heard your medical skills are quite good, so this time I thought of asking for your help to treat these residents. Would you be willing to join forces with me?" Luo Qianyu asked with an expectant smile.

"I am willing!" Luo Shu nodded vigorously, her voice revealing a barely concealed hoarseness. Although she was trying to control herself, the prospect of working with her father still moved her. She didn’t hope to be with her father forever, but she cherished every minute and every second she could spend with him.

"Then let’s work hard together!" Luo Qianyu said, reaching out his hand with a smile.

"Sure! Let’s give it our all!" Luo Shu reached out and slapped his hand with hers.

Lu Hanmo watched this scene with mixed feelings. He was happy for Luo Shu, glad she had finally seen the family member she longed for. Yet he also felt sad for Luo Shu because, due to the change in her identity, she and her relative had become unrelated strangers.

As if sensing Lu Hanmo’s gaze, Luo Shu turned her head to look over and when she saw Lu Hanmo, a smile appeared on her face.

Lu Hanmo returned the smile and took a step towards her.

"You’re here!" Seeing Lu Hanmo, Luo Qianyu smiled and patted him on the shoulder. After their recent interactions, he and Lu Hanmo had become good friends.

Lu Hanmo nodded with a smile, "I didn’t expect you to come. We really need your help this time." He had just received word that the number of people poisoned in Cloud City had reached as many as twenty thousand.

"No problem! Just tell me wherever you need me," Luo Qianyu said cheerfully.

"Doctor, when can you start treating our illnesses?" the middle-aged woman asked. She didn’t want to disturb their reunion, but their illnesses couldn’t wait.

"We can start right now," both Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu said simultaneously, pausing for a moment before they smiled at each other.

"I have already studied the illness and developed the antidote," Luo Shu said, taking out a bottle of newly made pills from her bag and handing it to Luo Qianyu. She wasn’t worried he would suspect anything, nor was she concerned that he would harm her after finding out about her space. Because he was her father, she understood him and knew he would never do anything to hurt her. Although their relationship was no longer there, she still trusted him.
