Chapter 1012: One thousand and ten, shopping
"Brother Lu, you’re really amazing!" Shuimu Yan gazed at Lu Hanmo with admiration. Since Lu Mo rarely spoke, Shuimu Yan didn’t know much about him—who would have thought Lu Mo’s martial force was so strong that he subdued that middle-aged man in a single move!
"Let’s go upstairs." Lu Hanmo handed two room plates to Shuimu Yan and pulled Luo Shu toward the stairs.
Watching Lu Hanmo and Luo Shu walk upstairs hand in hand, Shuimu Ye’s eyes widened in surprise. This was the first time she had seen two men holding hands.
"Guests! Please head upstairs." The attendant snapped out of his daze and quickly led the way.
Arriving on the third floor, the attendant pointed at three adjacent rooms. "Guests! These are your rooms."
"I’m heading in now to sleep. Traveling these past days has been exhausting for me." Shuimu Yan pushed open the door and entered his room. With three rooms originally intended for one person each, Yeye’s arrival left Luo Yu and Lu Mo to share one room instead. After all, back at the estate, they often stayed together as well.
"I’m going in too." Shuimu Ye glanced at Luo Shu with concern before entering her room. If not for knowing about her brother’s temper, she would have suggested having him and Lu Mo share a room. That intimate hand-holding of Lu Mo with Luo Yu earlier made her feel uneasy. She’s heard that many men these days are into men—Luo Yu absolutely cannot allow himself to be influenced by Lu Mo!
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo entered their room, set up several formations, and retreated into their spatial domain. They hadn’t seen the babies for several days now. If not for Holy Light City being so dangerous, they would have loved to take the babies out for a walk.
"Shushu, it seems Shuimu Ye has taken a liking to you," Lu Hanmo said, seated beside Luo Shu at the edge of the spiritual spring, watching their two babies as they ran and played.
Luo Shu smiled bitterly. "I’ve noticed too. Once we get the Star Origin Fruit, we’ll leave immediately. Being pursued by a woman like this really puts me in a tough spot. With my identity disguised, I can only pretend not to notice."
"Alright!" Lu Hanmo nodded with a smile.
"Mommy! Let’s go to Daddy’s small world!" The little brother ran up and leaped into Luo Shu’s arms. The only downside to Daddy’s small world was that cultivation couldn’t be done there.
"Let’s go there for sword flight!" The little sister also ran over and sat on Lu Hanmo’s lap, speaking softly. Ever since experiencing sword flight in the small world last time, she had been longing for it. Both she and her brother already possessed divine sense, so sword flight posed no issues at all.
Luo Shu took out two swords and handed them to the little brother and little sister. "Refine them." These swords were ones she had picked out for them from the Sword Pool in the Blood Sea Domain Ruins back in the Sea Realm.
"Yay!" The little brother and little sister excitedly took the swords, climbed off Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, and quickly went to the side to begin refining their flying swords.
Shuimu Ye and Shuimu Yan finished ordering breakfast and saw Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo coming downstairs. They waved at them. "Over here!"
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo smiled at them and walked over to join them.
"After breakfast, let’s stroll around Holy Light City. There are lots of good things to find here," Shuimu Ye suggested.
"There are too many people outside—it’s not worth wandering around," Shuimu Yan replied.
Shuimu Ye giggled and pulled out a map from her pocket. She unfolded it. "This is the map I asked for from the innkeeper this morning. I took a look—there’s a small alley nearby. There definitely won’t be too many people there. Let’s go check it out."
"Alright!" Luo Shu and the other three nodded in agreement. With three days left until the opening of Holy Light City’s Light Domain, they didn’t have much to do other than wait, so exploring sounded good.
After breakfast, the four left the inn. They saw the streets today were even more crowded than yesterday.
They struggled their way to the small alley Shuimu Ye had mentioned, finding it still somewhat crowded, though better than the main streets.
The alley was lined with various stalls, most of which sold handmade crafts.
Luo Shu scanned one of the stalls and noticed several decently ranked magical treasures among its wares. Due to restrictions on immortal spirit energy here, these magical treasures looked no different from ordinary crafts.
She moved her gaze to other stalls, finding one or two magical treasures at nearly every stall.
"Let’s take a look." Luo Shu gestured toward the stall with the magical treasures and spoke to Lu Hanmo.
Lu Hanmo smiled and nodded, accompanying Luo Shu to the stall.
"Have you found something good?" Shuimu Ye rushed forward, squeezing herself between Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, forcefully separating them by one person’s width. She absolutely couldn’t let Luo Yu be led astray. Even if ’he’ didn’t like her, ’he’ couldn’t like another man.
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo exchanged a helpless smile. Fortunately, they wouldn’t be staying here much longer.
At the stall, Luo Shu crouched down, her gaze sweeping across the items before picking up a slightly rusted alchemy furnace and examining it closely. She had noticed this alchemy furnace at first glance. Even with her cultivation, she couldn’t discern its grade.
"You’re not thinking of buying this thing, are you? It’s all rusted!" Shuimu Ye exclaimed in disbelief upon seeing Luo Shu studying the alchemy furnace.
"I think it’s nice—makes for an interesting decorative touch in the room." Luo Shu looked at the stall owner. "How much for this cauldron?"
The owner glanced at the alchemy furnace in Luo Shu’s hands. "Ten gold coins." Most of the items at his stall had been scavenged from the edges of the Annihilation Swamp. Legend had it that a great battle occurred there ten thousand years ago, and these items were remnants left behind. Many stall owners here had similar stories of foraging near the swamp.
Luo Shu handed the stall owner ten gold coins. This alchemy furnace, if taken out of Shuize Country and auctioned in any city in the Earth Realm, would undoubtedly become a priceless treasure.
"You really bought it?" Shuimu Ye rolled her eyes in exasperation. She wouldn’t take this broken cauldron even if it were given for free.
Luo Shu continued scanning the stall carefully but didn’t find any other magical treasures she wanted. Standing up, she walked toward another stall. The harvest from this outing should be worthwhile.
She spotted Lu Hanmo crouched at another stall, examining a small pearl in his hand, and stepped closer to him.
Shuimu Ye hurriedly followed. Although she could monitor them now, what about at night? With the lack of rooms and no way to separate them, she felt helpless.
