Spoiled By the Young Master After Reborn In the 80s -
Chapter 1000 - 998, Level Eight Immortal Alchemist
Chapter 1000: 998, Level Eight Immortal Alchemist
"Lu Hanmo, Formation."
"Wonderful!" The crowd from the Formation Pavilion cheered joyfully. If Lu Hanmo chose Formation, Luo Shu would definitely pick the same.
"Luo Shu, Formation," Elder He announced.
"Knew it! Hahaha..."
"Why did they both choose Formation? Wouldn’t it have been better if one of them joined our Alchemy Pavilion?"
"Even joining the Talisman Crafting Pavilion would’ve been fine. Why did they both pick the same one?"
Compared to the joyful cheers from the Formation Pavilion, the other pavilions were filled with disappointment.
"Take a short break, everyone. The second round of the competition will start in ten minutes," Elder He said to the five of them before walking off to the side. They had already prepared everything needed for the evaluation project in advance, so it could begin anytime.
As Elder He stepped away, Chu Zhiruo, Su Chenche, and a few others gathered around.
"Junior Brother Lu, Junior Sister Luo, there’s still time before the competition starts. You can switch projects if you want. Why not reconsider?"
"If you’re willing to switch, I’ll speak to the Elder. He will surely approve."
"Go away, go away. Junior Brother Lu and Junior Sister Luo have already made their decision. You’d better focus on persuading other disciples." Fang Qing stepped forward, blocking Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo, ensuring they wouldn’t be taken away.
"We’ll give you all the other disciples. Just let us have Junior Brother Lu and Junior Sister Luo!"
"In your dreams!"
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo exchanged wry smiles.
When Elder He returned, he waved his hand, and three long tables materialized. One held materials for talisman crafting, while the other two were set with alchemy furnaces and all the Immortal Spirit Grass required for pill refinement. "Zhao Longfei, you’ll craft a talisman at the first table. Xu Yangji and Fang Yi, you’ll refine pills at the other two tables." Talisman crafting and alchemy didn’t require as much space as Formation.
"Yes!" Zhao Longfei and the other two responded, stepping forward to begin their tasks.
Elder He turned to Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo. "The Formation will take a little more time to prepare."
"Alright!" Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo didn’t seem to mind. Watching Zhao Longfei and the others refine pills and talismans was equally entertaining.
"Luo Shu, the Sect Leader encountered a bottleneck while refining pills and wishes to consult with you," Elder He said.
"Alright!" Luo Shu agreed. It must have been because she gave that one attendant some pills the other day, leading them to deduce that she was an Immortal Alchemist. She hadn’t planned on hiding it anyway.
"Then come with me," Elder He said. Zhao Longfei and the others wouldn’t finish anytime soon, and even if they did, as long as he delayed the Formation test, the evaluation couldn’t proceed.
In the Alchemy Room, Lin Jue was already waiting. Seeing Luo Shu arrive, he greeted her with enthusiasm. "Luo Shu, when I’m refining Emperor Extreme Pills, I always fail at the final step. Do you know why that is?"
"The Emperor Extreme Pill includes Thousand Spirit Grass, which is an extremely volatile Spirit Grass. Many Immortal Alchemists are in the habit of adding the Thousand Spirit Grass into the alchemy furnace early on during refinement. When this happens, the grass evaporates completely inside the furnace, resulting in failure to form pills," Luo Shu explained.
"So that’s the reason! Could you refine an Emperor Extreme Pill now to show me?" Lin Jue asked eagerly. With Luo Shu’s profound knowledge of alchemy, there was no doubt she was an Immortal Alchemist.
"Alright," Luo Shu agreed.
Lin Jue immediately took out a Storage Bag containing the materials needed to refine Emperor Extreme Pills and handed it to Luo Shu.
Luo Shu accepted the materials and brought out her own alchemy furnace. Her furnace was from Xiao Qing’s Palace, so its grade was naturally high. Of course, she wasn’t trying to show off—it was simply the furnace she was used to working with.
"That’s a fine alchemy furnace!" Lin Jue’s eyes lit up at the sight of Luo Shu’s furnace. To acquire a furnace of this grade, her fortune was beyond ordinary.
Luo Shu smiled faintly without offering any explanation. She summoned flames and began the pill refinement process, placing the Immortal Spirit Grass required for the Emperor Extreme Pills into the alchemy furnace one by one in sequence.
Watching her seamless and natural movements, Lin Jue was inwardly astounded. She was so young, yet her alchemy skills were astonishingly proficient.
Using her Divine Sense, Luo Shu controlled the Spirit Grass within the furnace, separating the medicinal liquid from the residues and dispelling the waste. Right before the fusion process, she swiftly placed the Thousand Spirit Grass into the furnace and completed the fusion immediately after.
Before long, the fragrance of pills and the sound of elixirs rolling could be heard from within the furnace.
With a light tap of her hand, Luo Shu sent the furnace lid flying. Crystal-clear pills shot out from the furnace, landing gently into the Jade Bottle she held in her hand.
Retrieving her alchemy furnace, Luo Shu handed the Jade Bottle containing the pills to Lin Jue. "Sect Leader."
Lin Jue quickly accepted the bottle and peered inside. His eyes widened in disbelief. "Twelve top-quality Emperor Extreme Pills!" Luo Shu’s refinement process had been so quick that he hadn’t been able to clearly discern the pills’ quality. But now that he saw, not only were they full pills, each one was of the highest grade.
Snapping back to his senses, he asked, "What level of Immortal Alchemist are you?" Initially, when he saw Luo Shu refining pills, he suspected she was a Level Seven Immortal Alchemist. But being able to refine twelve top-quality Emperor Extreme Pills meant she was certainly beyond that level.
"I just advanced to Level Eight," Luo Shu replied.
"You’re actually a Level Eight Immortal Alchemist! This is unbelievable!" Lin Jue shook his head, his face full of disbelief. Had she started cultivating from the womb?
"My family is a lineage of medical practitioners, so I’m quite familiar with medicinal herbs. Learning alchemy comes a bit more naturally to me," Luo Shu said with a smile.
Lin Jue nodded in understanding, though inwardly he remained unconvinced. Alchemy required innate talent. Some people couldn’t master it no matter how exposed they were to medicine, while others could fully grasp it after a single lesson.
"Let’s head back. The others should be almost done by now," Lin Jue suggested.
When they arrived back at the Martial Arts Arena, they saw that Zhao Longfei had already completed crafting his talisman. Xu Yangji and Fang Yi were also in the final stages of refining their pills.
Seeing Luo Shu, Lu Hanmo curved his lips into a faint smile. "The Sect Leader asked you to refine pills?"
Grinning, Luo Shu nodded. "I assume it’s because I gave that attendant some pills the other day. The Sect Leader must’ve deduced that I’m an Immortal Alchemist."
"Clang!" The sound of an alchemy furnace opening echoed.
Fang Yi picked up a Jade Bottle and began collecting the pills. Once the pills were stored in the bottle, he examined them and smiled with satisfaction. Although their quality wasn’t especially high, the pills were well-formed, and it was a full batch of twelve. He was confident he had passed the evaluation.
Shortly after, Xu Yangji also began collecting his pills. Like Fang Yi, he had refined Third-Level Nourishing Yuan Pills. As one pill after another entered the Jade Bottle, a broad smile spread across his face.
Elder He stepped forward to inspect the results from the three participants. After a quick glance, he announced, "Zhao Longfei, Xu Yangji, and Fang Yi, you have passed the evaluation and are now officially Inner Sect disciples."
