SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 96 - 94
Chapter 96: Chapter 94
After looking at the villa, Diamond loved the place. It was well maintained, and the garden was particularly good with the flowers thriving very well.
Besides, the couple had installed solar panels and a well at the villa. With how troublesome electricity and water usually become at times, those two measures were quite good.
After seeing that, Diamond decided to finalize the deal that day without waiting for another day. The villa was also being sold with the furniture, so it was a huge bargain.
A few hours later, Diamond paid in full for the villa and got all the relevant signed once again with her lawyer as the witness.
As for occupying the villa, she would need a week to get the couple to move out. Besides, she wasn’t in a hurry to move in as she wanted to remodel the place first before even thinking of staying in it.
She also got the title deeds for the two buildings she purchased the other day, and the day’s work was very fruitful.
When she completed everything, Diamond didn’t go to Cherry Court or the foundation but went to a restaurant where she had her lunch first before heading somewhere else.
She went to check the three-stories building first by herself and leisurely took her time doing so.
The building was good, and the floors had enormous office space and other facilities that made the place run.
The buildings were vacated but in good condition. However, Diamond was the kind of person who would first renovate the place first before continuing any further. So, it was still not usable to her.
After checking the building, she headed for the second one and took a bit more time there.
Around four in the afternoon, Diamond was at some place, listening to the chirping of birds.
When she was done checking the buildings earlier, Diamond decided to visit a nearby forest just several kilometers out of the city.
She aimed to go there and investigate the fan properly. Since she was afraid of attracting unnecessary trouble and attention by doing so at home, she decided to go with nature.
That was why she was somewhere in the middle of the forest where there were no people around.
Diamond honestly didn’t know what to do with the fan or how to use it. She only knew that she needed to use it when she was in danger and as a disguise by using it as a fan to fan herself.
Now the problem that she was facing was how to use the fan.
And since she had little information that she was doubting, Diamond began to research about it.
With Andrea’s aid, Diamond didn’t need to work clueless as Andrea picked all relevant information that could be of help.
So instead of practicing the fan that was naturally in her hand, Diamond was busy studying video materials, mainly from movies and some from those weapon enthusiasts’ vloggers.
That took her an hour before she had grasped the basic knowledge that might be of help if that was how the fan was supposed to be used.
When she was done with that, Diamond flipped the fan open and was wowed once again by the magnificent beauty of the fan that she just couldn’t get enough of.
It was the golden lotuses for her that she truly loved. They looked so beautiful and unique that she was tempted to own a love lotus like it.
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be possible. She even doubted if such flowers existed. Besides, even if they existed, she was afraid of attracting unwanted trouble.
She also didn’t have time to take care of flowers. She wasn’t really a flower person and having a vegetable garden was even better than having flowers in her garden.
Diamond started playing around with the fan; opening it, throwing it, and also practicing her wrist movements, as everything was practically based on how she was going to move her wrists.
That training session lasted nearly one and a half hours, but her training was cut short when she received a call.
"Who is it?" she asked Andrea since she didn’t have her phone with her or the smartwatch.
[Ruby is calling.]
Knowing that Ruby was calling her, she knew that it was time to stop her training. Besides, it was getting dark and if she continued to be immersed in her training, then she was going to return home late. And that would worry Ruby, and she didn’t want her little sister stressed.
So, when she heard that Ruby was calling her, Diamond closed the fan and started walking towards the car.
By the time she entered the car, Ruby was no longer calling, and she decided to give her a call later when she was on the road.
Diamond didn’t drive the car back home but had Andrea take over. Her wrists were aching, and she didn’t think that she would be able to drive well without getting into an accident.
On her way, she called Ruby and informed her that she would be home before eight that night.
Diamond arrived home just a few minutes before eight and Ruby was there to welcome her home.
Diamond was touched when she saw her little sister waiting for her, that she became emotional.
It really felt good having someone waiting for her rather than going to an empty home.
Diamond had dinner with Ruby and also listened to her telling her about the meeting that she went to during the day.
The siblings didn’t go to sleep as soon as they were done eating but talked until it was around midnight and finally went to bed with smiles on their faces.
The next morning, Diamond woke up early in the morning as usual as she prepared to go for her morning jog.
When she went downstairs, she was surprised to find Ruby waiting for her and already wearing her exercise gear.
"Good morning, sister!" Ruby cheerfully greeted with a smile.
Diamond smiled back at Ruby as she responded, "Good morning to you, too. What a surprise?"
It’s been ages since Diamond saw Ruby exercising, so she was greatly surprised to see her awake so early in the morning and waiting for her, too.
"Hehe, I need to remain fit. And it doesn’t hurt to exercise once in a while," Ruby softly chuckled as she answered.
Diamond nodded her head in acknowledgment when she heard Ruby. She was obviously happy hearing that.
"That’s good then. Let’s go and jog then."
"Sure!" Ruby cheerfully responded.
The two sisters left the villa and started to run at an average pace as they chatted.
Since they barely had enough time to spend together and bond, as they were all busy, each second that they spent together was very precious.
"Are you going to work today?" Diamond asked curiously during their run.
"No, this weekend I am free. I won’t be going," Ruby excitedly responded.
It wasn’t that she hated working, but it was just so good to spend the weekend at home without worrying about work.
As an intern, it had been hard on her, but Ruby understood that the pain and torture she was going through were for her betterment. She was learning new things every day, and it was good for her rather than spending her vacation playing.
At least with what she was doing, she was getting paid and when school started, she would be having her own money. Miney that she had earned herself and not her allowance.
Diamond wasn’t stingy with allowance. Diamond always transferred a lot of money to Ruby, and that money was enough for her to brag and show off to her friends.
However, the money that she was earning herself tasted sweeter, and she couldn’t wait to do something meaningful with it.
"If you are free, then that’s good. I don’t have anything lined up this weekend. How about we go and do some shopping later today?" Diamond asked Ruby as the two continued to jog.
When Ruby heard about shopping, she became very excited.
"Sure, let’s do that. It’s been a while since we spent some time together," Ruby excitedly said.
Due to work and other factors, the two had not been spending a lot of time together. So apart from the excitement of shopping, Ruby just wanted to spend time with Diamond and catch up with her.
"That’s settled then. We will leave after breakfast."
Since they hadn’t told Aunt Janet about spending the day out, Diamond was worried that the lady would cook food that would be wasted if they didn’t eat just because they wanted to go out.
So, with excitement rushing through their veins, the sisters increased their jogging pace and quickly finished the two laps around the court.
And on their way back to the villa, Diamond saw Kisha, whom she had completely forgotten about since the folding fan she received previously overwhelmed her.
"Good morning, Kisha!" since the other was out, Diamond didn’t have a choice but to greet her.
"Good morning to you, too."
"It’s good that I have seen you. Do you mind following me to my place?" Diamond smoothly asked, without exposing how she had completely tossed Kisha’s issue out of her head.
"Sure, I don’t mind."
