SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 93 - 91
Chapter 93: Chapter 91
The next day, Diamond as usual woke up to her daily routine, which was to have a morning jog around the court.
And unlike the previous morning when she didn’t see anyone, she got lucky and managed to bump into a person she had not seen in a very long time.
When she was having her second lap, she saw Kisha; the celebrity, getting out of her villa wearing her exercise gear.
Seeing the celebrity, she barely saw on television as she was so busy at times that she couldn’t even watch dramas. She was amazed.
Kisha was a beautiful woman and one who probably knew how to take care of herself pretty well.
However, with technology nowadays, she wasn’t sure whether Kisha was still her original self or she had cosmetic surgery.
The entertainment industry was a tough one. And if a woman doesn’t take care of herself and upgrade, it wouldn’t be a shock if she were to be soon forgotten, as if she never existed.
However, a woman with a pretty face and skills to top it up would survive a bit longer unless she met an unformidable opponent who meant serious business.
And thinking about cosmetic surgeries, Diamond couldn’t help but think of something. She had given Cecilia her creams before, but she had never given one to Kisha.
Since Kisha knew a lot of female celebrities, it wouldn’t hurt to give her a bottle and make her bring more people in the future to her.
"Good morning, Diamond!" Kisha greeted her the second she came to the road.
Diamond slowed down as she flashed a smile at Kisha before responding, "Good morning to you too, Kisha. How have you been?"
"It’s been pretty hectic. I am glad that I can now finally rest!" Kisha tiredly responded as she caught up to Diamond.
Upon hearing that, Diamond felt a bit ashamed.
Some people were busy working their asses off to better their lives while she was busy going around everywhere, leaving all the work for other people.
But on second thoughts she corrected herself.
’I am the boss, aren’t I supposed to work how I want?’ she thought again.
"But it should be worth it, right?" Diamond curiously asked.
For celebrities like Kisha, when they were not shooting shows, dramas, series, or movies, they would be having photoshoots and something like that.
And all of that screamed money. How could one just work extra hard without incentives?
Kisha, who was finally jogging alongside Diamond, answered, "Umm, this time I did myself proud."
"That’s great to hear. As long as you see it’s worth, then nothing else matters."
The two went silent after that and ran half a lap in complete silence, and just when Diamond thought that it was going to remain that way, Kisha started a new topic.
"Oh, Diamond! I hope you don’t mind me asking about this, but did you perhaps sell Cecilia somebody cream some time ago?" Kisha asked as she turned her head to look at Diamond.
Diamond, who was busy scolding herself inwardly for acting cowardly once again and failing to raise the cream issue to Cecilia, suddenly stopped in her tracks, forcing Kisha, who was now a step ahead to stop as well.
"Did I ask something that I shouldn’t have asked?" Cecilia worriedly asked upon seeing Diamond’s actions.
When Diamond heard the last question, she nearly gave her face a strong slap, but she held it in as she quickly calmed herself down before facing Kisha with the friendliest smile she could think of.
"No, no, it’s not like that. I just wasn’t expecting you to ask me that," with a soft chuckle Diamond replied.
Kisha sighed with relief when she heard Diamond’s answer.
She thought that she had asked something confidential and that maybe Diamond didn’t want anyone to know.
With how Cecilia was like, it was also possible that Cecilia would spread news without the other person’s consent.
She had been hesitating to ask Diamond about that, but when she thought of the current predicament she was in, she was left with no choice but to ask. Even if that meant provoking the other.
So, when she heard Diamond answering her, she felt saved for her response didn’t mean that she was denying what she had just said but was just taken by surprise since she wasn’t expecting to be asked that.
"That’s good then. I nearly thought that I overstepped my boundaries!" Kisha relievedly said.
Diamond waved her hands playfully while maintaining her friendly smile and said, "You didn’t. anyway, to answer your question, I indeed gave her some cream some time ago."
Upon hearing that, Kisha looked at Diamond as if she had seen her savior, however knowing that her reaction might cause Diamond to misunderstand her, she forced herself to calm down.
After taking a few deep breaths, she asked once again. "Diamond, can you perhaps sell me a few bottles? I can buy them at whatever price you are selling. I can even double the price. How many do you have?"
Diamond could hear the desperation in Kisha’s voice that she began to wonder just what trouble did Kisha’s skin got her into.
She couldn’t see anything at all, so Diamond was quite suspicious, but knowing what she wanted from Kisha, Diamond wasn’t going to pry but do her best to make Kisha her customer.
"I don’t have the cream at the moment. I am still waiting for the shipment to arrive. However, it should be available by tomorrow night. And the cream is a bit expensive. I don’t know what materials the alchemist uses; I am just a tester and a middleman. But if you want it, I will keep a bottle for you," Diamond said without shame, simply spewing lies without batting an eye as she responded to Kisha.
When Kisha heard the first part, her heart sank, but when the second part arrived, her spirits became uplifted once again.
If it wasn’t for her to see Diamond and ask her about the cream, she wouldn’t have come out so early in the morning to jog. But knowing Diamond, she was afraid that if she didn’t do that, she wouldn’t be able to see Diamond till night.
Who knew how many things could happen in a day?
"That’s okay with me. How many bottles can you spare?" Kisha anxiously asked.
Seeing that Kisha had believed the lies, Diamond even felt prouder and ready to set a wonderful price.
If she were to sell the beauty creams at a cheaper price, all hell would break loose in the future. Since the bottles were limited already, she wasn’t daring to sell them cheaply, as that would force her to keep on producing something that she didn’t have.
However, if she were to price them at a crazy price, she was sure that only a few would be interested in buying. And the stock would last in the beginning since the customers wouldn’t be so sure about the product. But with time, that would change, as they would do anything to get a bottle from her.
The most expensive face cream she had seen in her life in Atharian dollars was priced at A$50,000. That was simply too ridiculously high for a face cream. However, she was sure that her cream was much better than that one, but she wasn’t that bold to price a 200ml bottle for such an exorbitant price.
However, she found it very appropriate if she were to price it somewhere in the middle, and set a price that would make sense when compared with the effects the cream would bring to the user.
That was a problem she had been trying to solve ever since she decided to open a cosmetic shop a few days ago.
So, in the end, she told Kisha, the final price without hesitation and boldly.
"The bottle costs A$5,000, and it is a 200ml one. Only five bottles are coming this time, but I can manage to sell only two to you if you want, as the other three are already booked. Do you want them?" Diamond calmly informed the other.
Kisha was baffled at first when she heard the price, as she felt as if Diamond were pulling her leg. After all, who would sell such an expensive cream?
However, when she recalled how good Cecilia had been looking recently and how Diamond was so rich that she was living in Cherry Court at a young age, that thought vanished.
Why would a rich person even bother to con her?
Since the creams could work magic on a person, she was willing to spend some money. It was better to try it first and see what changes it would bring rather than to give up and regret it in the future.
So, without hesitation, she decided. "I will take the two bottles. Do you want cash or a transfer?" she asked.
Upon hearing that, Diamond inwardly was relieved. "Let’s do a transfer. I will send you the details when I return home," Diamond answered.
"That’s good then. I will be waiting."
"Sure."
